Description of Work: They scheduled the estimate a day after I contacted them. Aaron listened to everything I wanted/needed and had helpful suggestions. They replaced trim on the house that was rotten for a very reasonable price. The trim was not installed to the owner's satisfaction so he came over himself and replaced it. They were an excellent company to work with. They showed up on time and ready to work! I had a new roof in one day. They were also very considerate of my yard and shrubbery. I didn't find any debris when they left. I would definitely recommend them!

Description of Work: This was, by far, the best experience I've had with a service provider, and this comes from the perspective of one who has done two gut remodels plus six-figure repairs (due to moisture/mold/termite damage) on my current home. Benny was punctual and was both friendly and professional. He took the time to fully explore the areas of concern and point out issues that warranted attention. Had he lacked scruples, he could easily have convinced me that I needed to replace my entire roof (as a number of my neighbors, whose homes were built around the same time as mine, have recently done). However, he both showed and explained to me the process of roof wear, pointed out some things I could do to extend the life of my roof, and even took the time to take care of a few things that were not in the scope of the job, such as reaffixing a few loose shingles. He is knowledgeable about best building practices, and he quoted a fair price for the minimal additional work that is needed to keep my roof in good shape. He was clearly more interested in giving an honest opinion and ensuring that I fully understood the basis for that opinion, than taking advantage of my comparative lack of knowledge and soaking my wallet. His integrity inspired my trust and confidence, and I am calling TruRoof to come back out and take care of some additional work.

Description of Work: Initially showed up late to give me an estimate and make sure my roof fit the deal offered. They seemed anxious and started promising way too much which made me feel like they were being pushy. They promised to email an estimate and contract but I never heard back from them until a month later. They apologized and said that some management changes had been made but i still haven't heard back from them and it's been about three weeks now. I would never let them near my roof or wallet.

Description of Work: He did the job in one day but it got dark. He came back the next day to finish up. It needs to be painted some, but as soon as that’s done, he’ll come back and check. He had two guys with him. They did their work and didn’t bother me.

Description of Work: We have had problems with our roof since our house was built 7 years ago. Have had several attempts to repair "sliding" shingles. Mr. Shaw followed up on our call immediately, kept in touch with us as to when he would come, surveyed the situation, and took pictures with his IPad to show us what was going on! He recommended a complete survey of our roof, and after repairing the immediate problem, spent several hours going over every shingle, replacing over 20, and properly nailing the obvious problem spots.

Description of Work: I spent several months this past year getting estimates and refining the work needed on my elderly mother's big, old house. The house has sections that are more than 100 years old, with additions back in the 1950's and 1960's. The first job was to remove several layers of roofing and re-roof the house, work that was extensive since there are many ridges, valleys and dormers. There had been leaking over the years, particularly in the areas of the rear and side porches, where the slope was low, causing run-off to back up and seep under the old shingles. Waterproof materials had to be applied on both the porch roofs to better seal the new roof given the low slope. There were numerous areas where flashing had to be re-worked and the connections between existing aluminum siding and the roof had to be improved. The gutters needed work as well, for example in an area over the front door where the old gutters had allowed water to pour down onto the front door in heavy rains. We got 3 estimates for the work needed, 2 of them being detailed and extensive enough for comparison. We chose Benny Shaw and his company TruRoof Solutions to do the roofing work, and we are now working with him on additional repair work inside and outside that is much needed to preserve the house. His bid for the roofing was the middle one in terms of cost, but it was miles ahead of the others in terms of details and proposals to fix the specific problems. The other work he is in the process of completing now includes replacing the ceiling on the back porch with a new surface that resembles the old bead board used in that area many years ago and painting and finishing this enclosed porch, replacing broken windows on the porch where needed; fixing very old floors where floor boards had begun to dip, requiring support from below and finishing to match the existing floor boards (very old wide plank floors); replacing the front door and its frame, and the sills (the old door was not a standard size, so this work involved working the new larger frame into the existing walls (including the exterior aluminum siding); installing a modern storm door at the front door; replacing the floor and subfloor in a laundry room, where there had been many years of water damage; plus smaller projects, such as fixing overhead lights that would no longer work and troubleshooting the causes, and straightening doors that did not hang true. Benny and his folks are next set to pour a large new front porch and walkway, using a tinted cement with a pattern to it. The existing porch and sidewalk had unsuitable, slippery tiles on them, and there was water damage under the tiles as well, especially around the front steps off the porch. I'll plan to post again once that work is done. This is the last remaining work, and its completion is weather and schedule dependent.
