We were incredibly impressed with Trainum Brothers Glass Company. This company set up a time to come out and take a look, had an estimate back to us within a couple of days, and then about a week later had the window to bring out and install. It was the third estimate we had gotten and blew the others out of the water. One company's estimate was literally two and a half times the estimate we received from Trainum Brothers Glass, and the window that was installed is a high quality window. In addition, a competitor told us it would take 4 to 5 weeks to even get the window. The window that was installed looks incredible and the company cleaned up after they were finished. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone. We also got an estimate to replace a bunch of large windows in our sun room, and this estimate was $2000+ less than that of one of the other companies. The Trainum Brothers have a very good understanding of code and options that are available. They are reliable, professional, they make courtesy calls to let you know when they're on the way, leaving, etc. All around great experience.
Description of Work: They replaced a window in our son's room after he threw a morocco through it. It was an older wood window that was broken, so we decided to replace it with a new vinyl window rather than just replace the glass.

Matt & brother identified my windows as the "Cadillac" of windows from Peachtree windows. High-end. These windows presented a unique challenge to the brothers as they had never seen windows like these before. As we talked thru the initial visit (where the guys were learning how to fix my windows), it became very clear that these guys knew their business well, & could fix any problem related to windows. To replace my windows, I would've been facing a big construction job, meaning more money for them. Instead, they fixed my perfectly good windows, & charged me only $135 per window. When I mentioned the coupon I had gotten from Angie's List, they threw in the cost of one window for free. I got 9 working windows for the price of 8. I am thrilled with their work & would not hesitate to hire them again or recommend them to anyone. They are willing to take on small repair jobs that bigger companies won't touch. Thanks, guys!
Description of Work: The brothers came out the same day I called to have a look at my windows. I thought I needed replacement windows & was prepared for that sticker shock. After only a few minutes, they determined that I did not need replacement windows after all, just a repair to 9 of the 14 in my house. Many of the windows were either sticking, hard to raise or lower, or not staying open. Dowel rods had been used to keep windows propped open on nice days, hoping to not get fingers smashed when we pulled the rods out to lower the windows. They fixed 2 of the windows that day, then scheduled a day the following week to finish the work.

Everything went according to plan. Tranium Brothers came as scheduled for an estimate January 4, 2013. I was given an exact figure for the replacement of the window, and the date and time they would return to actually replace the window. They arrived on time, completed the job in about thirty minutes. They did a good job - there was no mess to clean up, and no cost surprises when they finished the job. Timing was important to both myself and my daughter. I needed exact times to arrange to be at my daughter's residence, and to get the job completed as soon as posslble. We are very satisfied with the work, cost and time it took to get this job done, and would recommend Trainum Brothers to others for this type of service.
Description of Work: A bedroom window was replaced after my grandson accidentally broke it while playing in his room. My daughter looked up glass companies and called Tranium Brothers for an estimate. They scheduled an appointment to come for the estimate. They arrived right on time, surveyed the damage, and gave me an exact price for the replacement and installation of a new window. They also provided a day and time to replace the window. They arrived on time and on the scheduled day to replace the window. They went straight to work, and were finished in little time. The cost was exactly as quoted. The total time from initial contact to completion of work was 3 work days.

These guys are the best!! We have an old, very large wall mirror that was crated and moved from NY to Mt Pleasant, SC. We got the Trainums' names from Angies List, and went with them. They showed up to give us an estimate, and told us to call them when we had our floors completely finished. We did so, and they showed up on time and ready. They were good humored and pleasant throughout. They worked hard, and were completely and totally professional. It was obvious that they knew exactly what they were doing. The mirror was hung flawlessly. We had another wall mirror in the shape of a sunburst. They hung it perfectly, then moved it when we thought it should be hung a few inches over. No exasperated looks, no complaints... nothing but good natured willingness and a desire to please the customer. We also had a very large oil painting. They offered to hang it, even though their specialty is glass. No problem... job done perfectly. These guys are absolutely outstanding. I wholeheartedly recommend them. One more thing. These are good looking guys. My wife has a crush on them... she calls them "The Guapo Twins!"

Absolutely, no complains. Quite impressed, in fact! Immediate call-back and scheduling for an assessment and window measurement. They ordered the window and as soon as it came in, called the next day for installation (which took about 20 minutes). They honored the 10% Angie's list discount. Always on time, very happy and fun duo...and frankly, easy on the eyes!
Description of Work: I incurred a crack in my kitchen window from an errant, mower-propelled hickory nut several weeks ago. I had seen Trainum Bros. truck around Mt. Pleasant, remembered the unusual name, and looked to Angie's List for a recommendation.

I had a French Door installed by as they were the installers that Lowe's (supplier) contracted with. This was to replace a sliding glass door which was seperating from the house and had fallen out a few times when being opened. They had to remove that door, its framing etc and install the new door. They first came to take the measurements and then returned for the installation which took about a half day to complete. I had them come back to replace a fogged glass window in the kitchen ( which was $185 for the glass and installation.) I also have asked them to adjust the French doors when they got misaligned (probably due to the house settling) and they quickly responded and did not charge me anything, though I was prepared to pay for their time. They are friendly, professional and efficient. I would definitely call them if I needed any windows or glass replaced. I have recommended them to friends and would continue to do so.

Travis and Matt came to our house to look at our bathroom. We wanted to replace the shower curtain with a glass shower doors as part or our bathroom remodeling project. They were very friendly and helped us select the best product for our tub layout. Once the other contractors had gotten most of the remodel completed including painting, laying floor tile and resurfacing the existing tub and surround tile, we scheduled for Travis and Matt to install the glass shower doors the following week. I met them at our house so they could get the installation started and reminded them to be careful of the newly resurfaced tub. They reassured me all would be fine and they'd have to doors installed in no time. I couldn't stay long as I had to return to work but I felt very comfortable having them in our home while we weren't there. When I arrived home at the end of the day, I was excited to see the glass doors. What I didn't expect to find was my husband, who had just gotten home from work, sweeping up a good amount of glass and metal shavings that were left on the side porch, where Matt and Travis had worked on the door components. I have to say my husband was not happy at all about having to clean up after someone else. He's a contractor himself and knows how important it is to leave a homeowner's place clean once a job is complete. Once inside I could see some of the shavings were tracked onto the floor, not good for bare feet or pets! After sweeping up the floors, I eventually went to the bathroom and saw that the new doors were in place and they looked good. Nice improvement from the old shower curtain. But my enthusiasm was once again dampened when, upon close inspection of the tub, I saw that they had left a scratch and numerous shoe scuffs on tub. I wished they had at least put padding down on the tub to protect it. And it would have been nice for them to clean the glass doors so they where covered with dirty finger prints. I got the feeling then that they must have been in hurry because the attention to detail and clean up was lacking. It's the last 10% of a job that matters so much as that's the lasting impression a homeowner has. Well I called Travis soon after and said the doors looked good overall but I also politely expressed our disappointment in how they left the job. Nothing catastrophic of course and the doors looked good, but not the best outcome we expected. Travis apologized for the condition of things but at that point there was nothing really he could have done. We had already cleaned up the porch and floors and fixing a scratched/scuffed tub was really the tub resurfacing contractor's expertise. So we had the tub contractor come out and he graciously recoated the damaged parts of the tub, at no extra cost. Now that the bathroom project is complete, we are very happy with it, despite the bumps along the way.
Description of Work: Installed glass shower doors over tub.

We had a large picture window replaced. Both Matt and Travis were great to work with. They came out to inspect the window, got back to us with a competitive price, scheduled an install date and showed up on time to install. Nice local guys, friendly and personable... listened to what we were looking for. While at our home we asked for an estimate to either repair or replace our upstairs windows. They measured and inspected and explained how/why they would need to be repaired and or replaced. We look forward to the estimate and the possibility to work with them again.Thank you!

I called the Trainum Brothers about installing new frameless tub/shower bypass doors for my 70" wide jacuzzi tub/shower. They responded very quickly and came to measure the tub and discuss door options that afternoon. They called back the next day with a price quote. Their price was reasonable considering I had researched frameless doors to fit this size tub on-line and they were very close to their price and I still would have had to install them myself. The doors were ordered and installed within 10 days. They look beautiful and really open up a rather small bathroom. Travis and Matt were great. They did a super job and I would hire them again in a minute.

I really liked these guys from the moment I met them. Straight-forward, friendly, good vibes. But they REALLY impressed me when we were walking through my renovated house and they actually recommended things which SAVED me money - instead of trying to "up sell" me for something I didn't need. Seriously, their idea took money right out of their pocket. You may read this and think, "well that's not very smart upon their part." But it is, because I have recommended them to people for months now. They had creative suggestions - took the time and really thought things through from a homeowner's perspective. They considered the size and scale of the mirror in my hall closet, how I should close in my guest shower, etc. And when the glass came in and they discovered some trim work needed to be stained before installing the glass in some transoms, they actually helped me do that. Seriously...who does that? These guys are great. If I had more that needed to be done, I'd hire them again in a heartbeat.
Description of Work: I honestly don't remember the details of how much I spent and everything it included; the service was awhile ago. I ordered a large mirror for my closet, a glass shower enclosure, and several glass transoms window panes.

First off they were very punctual and responsible. We had some problems with Lowe's and were very professional going to Lowe's and handling the problem on out behave since they were subcontracted by Lowe's. Their quality work was very good. They made sure everyhting was in order and cleaned up very good. They did a walk through before they left to make sure everything was right. They also evaluated other windows and gave us very knowledgable and honest opinion. I would marry either brother they were great.
