Scheduled a day to meet and he never showed up. When I did speak with him he said he did not recall scheduling anything.

Kevin and Rodney arrived when they said they would. They were fast and very good. I am a retired contractor, so I have experience at this sort of work. They analyzed the problem and came up with a solution. They are very professional, and I plan to use them in the future. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Thanks for a job well done. Another hit for Angie's List.

We had a couple of minor issues but Kevin handled those in an efficient and professional manner. Kevin and his crew where here when scheduled. They policed and cleaned their area each day. When completed it definitely improved the first impression of the house. I would reccomend them.

My experience with the contractor, was unproductive. The scheduled date of the estimate and initial meeting was on March 28th, at 5:00 pm, which was missed. I had to call him to remind him of our appointment. He said he thought our appointment was on Saturday instead. When I finally got hold of him I re-scheduled the second attempt for March 30th at 3:00pm, which he also missed with no call. I couldn't get ahold of him. I called several times on March 30th, and several more times again on the 31st. I left a message for him to call me on the 31st. He finally called at 2:30 pm, March 31st, and explained what happened. I don't feel comfortable about the experience and decided I want to cancel the work contract. I am asking for a full refund of $149.00 to my credit card, on March 31, 2014, at 5:05pm. Thank you. UPDATE: This morning, April 7, 2014, at 7:15 am, Mr. Simmons and his helper showed up on my front door step proclaiming he had a 7:00 am scheduled repair from Angie's List. I reminded him of his missed appointment on the 28th of March, and again on the 30th of March when he never showed up or communicated with us, and that we cancelled the contract through Angie's List for a refund. I then told Mr. Simmons that not only was he not supposed to be at my house, but that another person's appointment is being missed because of his mix-up. Mr. Simmons obviously needs his business to be successful for his livelihood. His communications skills with potential clients needs to be developed and improved. I suggest Mr. Simmons create a calendar and reminder system on his computer or phone to alert him of his scheduled appointments hours before he is supposed to show up. I really hope he is able to correct his communication issue, it would be sad for him to lose his business due to a lack of organization and communication mix-ups. I wish him the best and hope his business is able to succeed.

He made the appointment for Sunday March 30, 2014 at 1pm then confirmed it the day before and never showed up and never called. I wasted an enormous amount of time.

Kevin and his crew worked efficiently and diligently in a quick and able manner to complete all wood repair tasks as well as sealing six skylights which showed evidence of rain penetration. The work was done professionally and in a timely manner. The crew cleaned up everything and removed all traces of wood remains and debris. We are very satisfied with the work done as well as the reasonable prices that were charged. We would not hesitate to call upon Kevin and his crew to do additional work in the future.

Kevin and Rodney did a great job! They called to find out if they could come early. Once they got here, they quickly assessed what needed to be done and went to work right away. Kevin's estimate was spot-on. I will definitely use Simmons Construction again and will recommend them to others.

Kevin came out beforehand to review the job and give me an total estimate. Estimate was $600 with a starting time of 8am on Monday. On Sunday, he let me know that he'd be arriving Monday afternoon. Kevin arrived with his two-man crew on Monday at 1:15. They cleaned up around the work area to avoid damaging landscape as much as possible and began removing rotted wood. During the work, they discovered that the doors were too damaged to save, so with my agreement, Kevin went down the street to pick up some more wood from Lowe's. They installed new 2 x 4s, a hardi-plank apron, two new doors, and painted the needed areas with exterior paint. At the same time, they touched up the front and back doorways of my house. Additional work for the doors raised the price to $675. They walked around with me for inspection, made some minor repairs and changes at my request, and left at 5:15.

I could not have been more satisfied and plan to work with Mr Simmons in the future.

The job ended up costing more than I anticipated but that may have been because I had unrealistic expectations of what could be accomplished within the time allowed by the deal I purchased.

It went okay. I spent more because they stayed longer than expected, so I had to pay them for the extra hours they were here. However a lot of time was wasted when both of them had to go and get supplies. Otherwise their work was good.

Simmons Construction scraped the popcorn from cathedral ceilings in 2 rooms, repaired drywall in ceilings and walls, and painted ceilings and walls. The work was does done professionally and the workers were very courteous and professional. During the work, the workers noticed that one of our French entry doors required some repair. Simmons Construction did the work for a very reasonable price. We are very pleased with the work and professional service provided by Simmons Construction. The attention to detail was exemplary. I would recommend them highly.

Communication and scheduling were atrocious. He vastly overestimated the work he would be able to do. He gave inadequate lists of materials required and as a result of all these issues did not accomplish some priority items.

d the Kevin contacted me to set an appointment after I purchased an Angie's List big deal. We set a date and time. He contacted me the morning of, our appointment, to let me know that he finished another job earlier, and could come at my convenience. He arrived earlier than we originally anticipated. He introduced himself and was ready to start right away. The guys were pleasant and personable. They did a great job cutting & rolling the paint. The paint is smooth, no drips, they were neat and cleaned up behind themselves. They took care to take off all plates and put them back on when they were done. They caulked their work to complete a finished look. The price on the big deal was fabulous, but Kevin's regular pricing is extremely reasonable for the quality of work he offers. I requested that he complete an additional job while he was there and he gave me an estimate, we agreed and he completed the work. We will be calling him back for additional jobs in the near future. I would highly recommend.

He was punctual, well organized, and finished all work -- including two extra items I requested -- within the estimated time, which has not been my experience with previous contractors, and the site was left in a clean condition. I was pleased with his work and professionalism.

The person came out and the kind of drywall work I need done he is not able to do it within my price range.

No contact from service provider using Angie's List's "Big Deal" system. The service provider did leave me a voicemail 10 days after I bought this deal.

It went great! They worked quickly and did the chores one after the other.

They were very courteous and respectfully, took their shoes off in the house. With all the work they accomplished and a run to the hardware store they were very time efficient. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Very good work. Responded to my request promptly, communications were excellent, did work in a very timely manner, and the price was reasonable. I will call on him again.

Perfect! Installed lighting fixtures, fixed blinds, caulked bathroom areas, fixed my freezer, cleaned my gutters, cut tree limbs down, and fixed 3 faucets. Everything was great, highly recommend Kevin and his team!
