Had a new heavy storm door installed on front door. Door comes with (2) door enclosures, one at top and one at bottom. Wood at bottom where door closure was installed, was rotten and door closure was very weak. When door was propped open, bottom closure was very weak and was about to pull out or break the wood. Rob Johnson replaced the rotten wood, installed a weather strip to seal door, and checked door to make sure all was working well. New wood, and weather stip look very nice. They did an Excellent job and I will call them back again for repair work. New storm door enclosures are strong and work great now. They showed up at the time scheduled and did everything he said they would do. Highly Recommend Rob Johnson Construction Company for home and business repairs.
Description of Work: Company came out to look & evaluate my door issue. Gave me an estimate on the cost & said they would know more once the old wood was removed. When the rotten wood was exposed, they said the repair was not going to be bad at all. They installed new wood, & weather strip to seal door when closed. The end cost was less because the damage was not that bad. They showed up at the scheduled time, & did an Excellent job on repairing my door issue. Door enclosures are working great now.
It could not have gone any better. I was overwhelmed when we inspected the house, I knew we couldn't do the amount of work that was needed ourselves. Our realtor recommended Rob Johnson Construction. From the first time I talked to Rob I felt that I was talking to a professional. Rob came over to the house did a thorough inspection with me. I gave him my list of repairs that needed doing. He got back to me very quickly with the estimate and we agreed for him to start. He got started in about a week, finishing up another job. His crew came in and quickly started to work, repairing sheet rock damage, removing the closet repairing the floors, repairing under the sinks. A lot of trim work needed fixing, rehung an interior door. I've done several rehabs myself and I want to say that I was impressed, I don't think that there was anything that they couldn't fix and the work was quality work, first class. The outside repair work was very professional. Then the paint crew was next and I could not have been happier with the work. Extremely neat and careful, the paint was top quality, and their work was very professional. The carpet was put in and the inside of the house was essentially done. The yard was a disaster. The crew that Rob has is very good, they did a lot of work in a very short time, a lot of hard work and the yard looked good when they were done. I don't think the house would have sold as fast as it didn't Rob had not done the work. In fact the eventual buyers came in the house while it was being renovated, I told them not to mind the work that was going on, and they were impressed with the quality of the work. The word that keeps coming to mind when talking about Rob Johnson Construction is professional. He is very concerned that I as a customer was satisfied with every aspect of the job, from start to finish and I was. He gave me a quality job at a very reasonable price. He only has the best workers that work for him. I would recommend Rob Johnson Construction to anyone for a small rehab such as mine all the up to building the house of their dreams.
Description of Work: We had a rental house we needed to have remodeled to put up for sale. It needed a lot of work.,a lot of sheet rock repair, in the house and the garage, painting, repair work outside, etc. Rob's crew replaced an outside door, repaired rotted siding on the back of the house and the chimney. Removed an old interior closet that was in the living room. Repaired hardwood floors, replaced bathroom exhaust fans, repaired metal trim around the fireplace. Repaired underneath kitchen sink and bathroom sinks to to hide old plumbing repairs. Painted all of the interior surfaces, walls and ceilings, all closets, painting also included the garage, walls and floor. Also repainted the front door. Replaced all of the old carpet with new, had the house professionally cleaned. Outside, repaired the wooden fence we had surrounding the back yard which included repairing two gates. Removed an old dog fence in the back yard that had several posts that were cemented in, also removed several 4x4 posts that were cemented in the ground. Resurfaced two deck tables on the deck. Pressured washed the deck. The yard was a disaster area. The grass was cut and weeded. Raked all leaves and debris, sprayed all beds to kill weeds, supplied and spread mulch in all of the beds. Cut several low limbs and trimmed all of the shrubbery. Removed a large stump in the back yard. Brought in dirt to fill several holes in the back yard, one of them rather large. They cleaned up and removed all debris and hauled it away.

The painting subcontractor and crew - John Gilbert - were top notch - 1st ones on the job to get it rolling while waiting for the carpenter to free up for our job. They get a 10 out of 10 for a rating. Took a while to get the carpenter on the job because of delays on completion to the previous job and then extreme heat. Once on, he did a good job - responded to our observations of things not quite right and making corrections as needed. The window subcontractor we were not happy with at all - got the right window but the installation was poorly done. Rob corrected it when we brought it to his attention - thank goodness we noticed the problems before it was too late. All in all, we are very pleased with the job - it looks great!! The Negatives: it needed to move faster and the errors were details that should have been taken care of before we had to say anything. This side of the job gets a 7 out of 10.
Description of Work: Reside one two story end of the house including soffit and fascia boards – all wood siding. Replaced one double window. Replaced fascia board across the front of house. Added wood trim to all the corners of the house. Repainted entire house and garage including screened porch interior.

Response from ROB JOHNSON CONSTRUCTION
Member was quick to point out some issues that she felt needed to be corrected and she was right. My only comment is that we weren't finished and had not had a chance to go back and address these issues before she pointed them out. I have been a licensed residential contractor for 28 years and am also a licenced general contractor. We pride ourselves in making sure the customer is happy. We wouldn't be in business after 28 years if we didn't do it right.

Rob has done a lot of work for my dad and for me too. I think he has done really good work. He took off the old windows. I like him, but my dad had some problems with him in terms of returning calls. I think it might have been when he was out of town. I might not use his services to remodel my bathroom, but he did a fine job. He was a good carpenter. He cleaned up everything and also called us back.
Description of Work: I used the services of Rob Johnson Construction to have my windows changed in my porch about 2 years ago. Rob also replaced the doors and windows of my porch. We used to have sliding glass doors and he put wood at the bottom. He also insulated it and installed windows.

Job took longer than we thought, because of a leak in plumbing below subfloor in kitchen. Once that was isolated, whole kitchen had to be renovated. We were very pleased with the quality of workmanship.
Description of Work: Repaired/replaced subfloor in kitchen, and installed cabinets, countertops and appliances. Also, major subfloor repair under bedroom and bathroom.
