Myatt Air Conditioning

I was called by a tenant who informed me that their AC was not cooling properly. I called Myatt because I felt I had been charged too much by the last HVAC Contractor I used. All communication with Myatt was over the phone and via email, so I had no face to face contact. Myatt took my credit card over the phone and said they would contact my tenant to schedule service. I asked the receptionist to email me the invoice and also mentioned the $20 Angie's List coupon. Service was performed as promised. One pound of Freon was added and valve caps were tightened. I am satisfied with the service performed although I had not contact with service man. I was slightly disappointed that I did not receive a follow up call or email from Myatt regarding my repair and how much my credit card had been charged. I had to request that they send me an invoice a week later and then realized that they had not credited my Angie's List discount. They promptly agreed to mail me a refund for the coupon amount and I received it 2 days later.

Bernie Myatt arrived promptly for estimate. We received several estimates and were impressed by Bernie Myatt's thoroughness and quality of equipment. We used Myatt even though they were not the low quote. His crew of four men arrived on time for installation and operated in a professional manner throughout. Clean and prompt installation. They explained the operation of the new system well. Just recently, we had our first maintenance as part of the purchase package. Myatt's technician was again on-time and spent one hour thoroughly cleaning and testing the new equipment. Everything was fine.

During 10" of rain in less than 24 hours, our heatpump filled with water and all of the electrical shorted out. I needed a new heatpump, and called Myatt. That same morning I received a visit from Bernie Myatt, the owner, who quoted the price for a replacement and said they would install it the same day for me. (I had used Myatt once before and was very pleased with their service.) The guys arrived and took out the old and installed the new. Very professional and left the area better than it was when they arrived! I wouldn't hesitate to call them if you need A/C service or sales.

He was extremely nice. He arrived on time. It was an emergency. The HVAC people that I had a contract with, could not come that day. When I called Myatt they told me they could have someone here in 90 mins and they did. I was going out of town the next day so I was very grateful! They will now be my HVAC providers.

They were very good. The owner was very friendly and everything he promised we have gotten. He was a man of his word. Anytime we have called him he has always sent someone out quickly.

I was desperate to get a letter for closing on my town house that day on the HVAC system. Although it had been repaired, my previous person was not able to be contacted. Myatt Plumbing came to the rescue by checking the system and sending a letter to my loan company so that I could close. I greatly appreciate this.

We had an old gas furnace and heat pumb that needed to be replaced. Bernie came out and quoted me a price on new equipment and installation. We scheduled a time later that week to do the work. His guys were on time, polite, and professional. As they were removing the old equipment they discovered it had not been installed correctly, and one guy ended up in the attic for a while wrestling with ducts under the joists. They also checked our outside unit, which we had just purchased the year before. The previous installer had removed the freon and added something else that was harmful to the unit. Myatt fixed that unit as well. When I asked for the final price, it was the same as the original quote, even though they had additional unexpected work. I never felt like they were trying to sell me something I didn't need, and the AC works better than it ever has in the 7 years we've been in our house. I would definitely use them again and I've already recommended them to several people.

I have used Bernie Myatt (the owner) for all my A/C needs for over 20 years. I used his father before Bernie took over the business. This is the most honest service provider you can find. They come when they say they will be there or if they are going to be late the office will call and tell you. The technicians are well trained and responsible. In this particular instance they found the burnt smell problem repaired it and then in the service portion of the call found another failing part, corrected it saving me an additional call. My previous experience over the years is that they do not sell you anything not needed. Anyone needing to have HAVC service should not have any reservations about using this company.

When our furnace would not fire up after a weekend away we call myatt heating because they had installed our existing split system. We called at 8 am and a technician arrived with 30 min. After a visit from Bernie Myatt we agreed on a replacement system and within 1 hour had the crew at our house dismantling the old system. By 5 pm our new system was in place and we had heat in our house. We found myatt to be efficient, knowledgeable and extremely neat. They identified some wiring areas that needed upgrading and rectified it at no additional cost to us. This was a very pleasant experience and would recommend Bernie and his company to anyone and will certainly use them again. Courteous, fast and cost effective!

I just had my home inspection done for selling my house and needed my A/C unit to be checked. I wanted it done ASAP as not to have a delay with home closing contract. I spoke with Leigh, and she was very friendly, professional, and empathized with my situation. She had someone come out that day within hours to check on my unit and offer advice and possible options. Service was great and done in a professional manner. I would definately call them again for any future heating and a/c services needed. Awesome cutomer service and communication.

As a result of the torrential rains (7"+) that fell in Charleston on Tuesday, I returned home that evening to find that my heatpump wasn't working. When the technician from Myatt arrived and removed the side panel of the unit, 4" of rainwater poured out! Needless to say, the unit had to be replaced. Bernie Myatt showed up first thing Wednesday morning (it was raining Tuesday night and no work could be done since the unit is outside), gave me very competitive pricing for an even better unit and his crew began work immediately. They are professional, polite and cleaned up after themselves. Bernie and the people at Myatt Air Conditioning treat you like you're part of the family. They're honest, hardworking, people. This is the second time I've used Myatt Air Conditioning's service and will continue to use them for all of my A/C needs. If you need A/C replacement or repair, call Bernie at Myatt A/C. We experienced an intermittent cooling problem with our central Air conditioning unit. Unit would suddenly stop blowing cold air before reaching the temperature set on the thermostat. One company replaced an electrical relay in the outside fan/condenser/compressor unit. That fixed an electrical problem we had with the unit but not the cooling problem. Another company added 2 pounds of freon to the unit. That made the air colder but the unit would still suddenly stop blowing cold air so the basic problem was not fixed. The unit failed completely on a weekend we were away. Temperature in the house was 92 degrees when we returned late Sunday night. Early Monday morning I called a three A/C companies. Myatt was the only company willing to send a technician over immediately! The other companies could not send a technician for 7 to 24 hours.Within an hour of my call to Myatt, Kirk showed up as promised . He was professional and courteous.Based on a brief discussion about our A/C problem and the previous two repairs, Kirk diagnosed the problem as a failed circuit board in the outside fan/condenser/compressor unit that controls the defrost timer, defrost sensor and heat pump reversing valve.It took him 10 minutes to replace the circuit board. He restarted the unit and it's been working perfectly ever since.

We saw them as we were walking back home and we stopped and got an estimate, which was much lower than the other estimates we received. We first talked to them on a Friday, and the workers were there the next Monday. The entire job was finished in three days. There were a few small issues with the work when they were done, but they came back and made sure we were very satisfied. We appreciated that the owner, himself, was on site checking everything and would certainly recommend them.

Contractor very responsive to my initial call and set-up an appointment within a few days. He was on time and brought with him one of his technicians. Appointment was made to install new equipment after proposal was submitted. His employees were at the house when they said they would be and began work. Project took a day and half but was well worth the wait. Workers were organized in their respective job tasks and were neat with work inside the house. The technicians for Myatt A/C are talented workers and woiuld recommend this company to my family, neighbors and friends.

They have knowledgeable technicians who seem to know what they are doing. I will use them again in the future.

We spent too much but they were very competitive. They were very good. They cleaned up after themselves and things like that. Once we selected them for the job, they were quick about getting here and also quick in taking care of the issues when our air conditioners went out. We were very pleased with them. They did a good job for us.

Great experience! Our upstairs A/C unit went out on Saturday night. When we called our Home Warranty service, their computers were down, so couldn't send out anyone until Monday or later -- but they authorized any company. A friend recommended Myatt - they had used them for 10 years and had great things to say. I called and Kevin Austin came over in about an hour (on a Sunday) - diagnosed the problem and had the needed part in his truck. Very helpful, very professional, and gave some tips on maintenance/upkeep. Needless to say, we are very happy, especially as we have a newborn in the house! Will definitely use them in the future.

They cleaned up well afterward. They had also replaced our system a year ago. We found out a couple weeks ago that we had some errant duct work; they came out and took care of it.

We had a leak in our bathroom and suspected it was from our ac unit housed in our attic. This, plus other problems were confirmed by Myatt ac upon their diagnostic visit. They gave us a fair price of the repair, and completed the job in an extremely timely manner. Bernie, the owner, was very easy to work with and consistenly checked in on his trusted crew to ensure they did and excelent job, which they did. A wonderful experience with all at Myatt AC.

Bernie Myatt, the owner was "on top" of things. I asked him to look at my old inefficient systems for replacement , he responded quickly and got numbers back to me immediately. I live in the Archdale subdivision of North Charleston and his facility is on James Island, but he had no problems with the distance. After discussing the options, we scheduled the install. He was there on time and got it done. The total install took about 2 1/2 days. Bernie was in constant contact with me to let me know what was happening. He's all business, a hard worker and a great guy. In speaking with his crew they love him and that says a lot to me in my book. Bernie has a lot of energy, to say the least, and knows his stuff. His crew was more than great and I give them a lot respect to work in such heat and conditions. My wife was at the house alone most of the time with them and I trusted and felt very comfortable about that. Bernie encouraged us to get the Evolution Series by Bryant and the air filtration/purification system that goes with these systems and we are ecstatic with them. We haven't seen any dust on the surfaces since then and the air feels and tastes fresh. This system has also controlled the humidity like nothing I've felt before in a system. The system also runs so quiet. We can't wait to see our next complete electric bill to see the savings. SCE&G are also giving power saving rebates for the installs totaling $300.00/unit. Do yourself a favor, give him a call and a chance to have your business, you won't regret it! Showed up a day early, and was completly finished 1n 3 1/2 hours. VERY competitvely priced and workmanship was beyond 1st class. Bernie was great to work with, and went above and beyond. Highly reccomend!

Bernie was wonderful from start to finish. He was prompt, kind, and extremely informative. The installers were also prompt and respective of my home and children. I would highly recommend Myatt Heating and Air for both installation and service. Since having my AC installed, we have recommended him to several of our friends and they to have used Myatt.

Bernie was helpful from beginning to the end. He educated us on the systems without talking down to us. His price was better than the next nearest quote by a substantial amount and he threw in the rebuild on the support platform and new run. When he says he will do whatever it takes to make you happy, he means it! His crew was here on time, were very professional, did exactly what they said they would in the time they estimated and cleaned up after themselves. Time will tell if the Bryant system was a good choice (so far it is) but selecting Bernie Myatt was definitely the right way to go.
