Mister Sparky

He came out for the estimate, charging $95.00 just to show up, and wanted to check all the neutral. These are always there and no need to check. He proposed repair for $2,700.00. We declined. I got on the phone and spoke to him and he couldn't explain any electrical terminology or vernacular. He is rip off artist. The repair was eventually done for $55.00.

The technician arrived on time, and was very professional and thorough in his work. No complaints here.

I thought their repair estimate was fishy, so I contacted [different company]for a 2nd opinion. They fixed the problem, which they said was simple, for $150. At less than 1/10 the cost of Mr Sparky's quote, this was a no brainer. Glad I didn't get ripped off. I would not use or recommend Mr Sparky in the future.

I had a new stove delivered on December 24th, only to learn that the old one was hard-wired into the electrical line. I contacted Mr. Sparky on December 27 and they agreed to come at a specific time on the next day to do the work. They arrived within ten minutes of the agreed-upon time. The electrician was extremely professional and clearly experienced. He explained what he was doing and showed me the problem within the breaker box (presumably from the builder) before rectifying it. He was tidy and efficient. Happily, because Mr. Sparky came as scheduled, my new stove was delivered later that same day.

Called Mr Sparky and was told a service rep would call me back "soon as possible". About an hour later a rep called and we discussed the problem. I was told it would cost $149 to come out and confirm my diagnosis, and if there was any damage at all, even paint off of the bus bar the "electrical code" required the entire panel to be replaced. The replacement cost would be $2,400 to $2,900. As I had recently researched power panel replacement cost on line, I knew that estimate was way too high. I told them I would continue shopping for service. I found a local company, Mt Pleasant Electric, which did the job for under $1000. I would not do business with Mr. Sparky as their cost are WAY TOO HIGH!

This service was performed at my 82 year old Mother's property in another state. I received a panic call from her that the freezer and all the electrical power to one of the bedrooms was out. I joined Angies List the day prior in hopes of finding a roofing contractor, not knowing that I would need an electrician the very next day. I immediately logged onto the site, selected Mr. Sparky and everything worked just perfect from that point. The technician, Eric Burgess, reported to her address within just a few hours, diagnosed the problem and provided a detailed service description of what was needed to resolve the issue along with other recommended services he identified were needed to make the property safe. We discussed the immediate needs, he did not attempt to make any hard sales, but was very helpful in narrowing the recommended services down to what absolutely had to be done right a way. My mother was so pleased with his professionalism, courtesy and cleanliness, she insisted that I place a comment on the "Computer" for Eric and Mr. Sparky. I highly recommend this company and felt very good about inviting them into my Mother's home. The professional service began with the initial telephone conversation and continued right through my receiving the invoice in the mail a couple of days later. I give them an "A" for Excellent Service and would do business with them again!

The job was more expensive than I expected but it was completed and the men were very professional.

Declined the job due to excessively high cost. They charge per fixture rather than by the hour. I got the job done by a licensed well respected electrician for $300. I was having simple stuff done- changing out fixtures, no major electrical work or problems, etc. The Mister Sparky quote was $1400 plus they tried to sell me a variety of other services/upgrades totalling almost $3000 and spent over an hour of my time doing the in-home quote and sales pitch. I would never use them.

The service was very efficient. ?The electrician was prompt, courteous, careful. ?Overall great job.

So far so good. They sent the diagnostics by mail rather than electronically (would have been super awesome if by email) but otherwise good job to my knowledge and worked around tenant schedules which can be like herding cats. Cool name too :) - made me want to watch a Margaret Mitchell movie.

Was just looking for new light fixtures to be replaced and the service was really expensive.

We knew we had existing issues with our electric in our home. The technician was very clear about everything and although he showed us extra installations for purchase such as hard wired smoke detectors, he didn't try to push anything. He explained everything as he found it and completed the work thoroughly. What he was not able to do because of weather (silicone seal the outside socket), he is coming back to do at another time. We were very pleased.

They came out twice to do the work for us. I think they are on the high end of what you would pay, but you do get a very professional service. I got the same technician both times I had them out. He knew exactly what I wanted, cleaned up and did an awesome job. I think they are a little expensive.

I have told everyone I know about them. They are some of the best people I have ever hired to do anything. They were within an hour of us calling them. I was without power and they worked all day to restore my power for me. They were nice and completely professional. I have never been so impressed with anyone that I have called.

the work went well. On time, and very respectful if the home and my time. Trustworthy to the point that I left the house several times to run other errands. Very clear explanations of work recommended and completed. Relatively pricey, however, I feel the value was worth it. I will use them again.

I have used Mister Sparky on another occasion to ground my outside utilities (which cost $1,075). I thought the price was abit high, but liked their reviews, so I said yes. They did a great job the first time, so I thought I would call again and see if they could repair a kitchen light switch that I've had previous problems with. We scheduled an "appointment" for 9am - 12noon (more like a wait around) which they informed me would cost $99 dollars for a service charge just to come to my house. THEY NEVER SHOWED UP or CALLED ME! So not only did the WASTE my time, they didn't even have the courtesy to call me! I won't be using this company again. The only reason I gave them a "D" grade, as oppose to an "F" is because of the previous work they did last year was good. I guess its hit or miss with them. Good Luck! UPDATE: Mister Sparky called me the next day after the "No Show". They apologized and offered to pay for my repairs, if made by another company or if I hadn't had the kitchen light switch fixed - they would come to my home, at my convenience and repair the light switch for free. Although I had another company (Miscellaneous Electrical Services) come and fix my switch the day of the incident, I will forgo letting Mister Sparky pay for Miscellaneous Electrical Services excellent service. I will however, upgrade Mister Sparky's grade from a "D" to a "C" grade because of this call.

They were punctual and professional but their estimate was WAY too high.

The problem was fixed but at a huge cost.

Mister Sparky was extremely professional and got someone out to my house incredibly fast. Everything was carefully explained, and the prices were based on a printed price sheet. Great Service A++

They did a very good job but their cost was more than what I thought.

Service person showed up on time, discussed our needs with my husband, installation was within the hour. Excellent service and product.

The service call went very well. The service man was prompt and very professional.

I was very pleased. They analyzed the problem quickly and were very professional in performing the required rewiring work. I most certainly would recommend them and use them again.
