 + -1 moreAwesomely professional, above & beyond what we discussed ! Great preparation before performing the actual Termidor Termite treatment.. Great attention to details and rechecking them to ensure professional due diligence completion. Having the owner on-site for over two hours was the icing on the cake...and I love icing!!! All service companys should operate like this in their client relationships!!!
Description of Work: I needed a company to treat my home for termite repulsion via ground treatment with Termidor. Ledford's was the ONLY contractor out of three contacted who WANTED to do the job. They were highly professional, punctual, friendly and the Owner arrived on-site and stayed for two hours while the work was being performed and until the job was completed. Love these guys!!  + -1 moreI have found 3x now that whatever Ledford's uses does not seem as effective as other companies, we have had to have them come back out repeatedly for continued live roaches. They are always kind, but not the best repellent we have had with other companies.

 + -1 moreWe did have an issue with some tiny ants and although he sprayed for that, we did have them back in about a week, but, you know, I guess it all depends if you leave stuff out, it is bound to happen.

 + -1 moreCalled this AM 11/17/15, mentioned to the person who answered the phone my intentions. Her reply, "we don't work Saturdays" . I then mentioned about a year ago a tech was at my home on a Saturday for the same reason, extremely friendly, said that Ledford's wants to earn my business and being here on a Saturday was not a concern, hence why they were the very first company to call now that I'm financially ready to commit to a long term agreement. I then asked her, you were at my home a year ago on a Saturday and are you not interested in my business, response, "hold on", so with that I hung up, not the way I want to start a long term Realtionship with.
Description of Work: Wanted to set up tech visit for termite inspection, long term contract for this Saturday.

 + 0 moreWe called Ledford's at 4:00 o'clock pm. Mr. Ledford came to our home the next morning at 9:30am and performed the inspection. Although he was scheduled to go to meetings that day, he sent his crew under his son's direction that same day to treat the house. He also came back to personally make sure everything was done right. These folks are just wonderful people who make their customers feel that they really care about the quality of the work they perform. I will use them for annual inspection and treatments from now on.

 + -1 moreI phoned the office to get their price on treating my home for pest control. I told her that I was having problems especially with fleas. She quoted me $90 for the treatment. Kyle, who was extremely professional, sprayed my home. He had told me that my pets and myself should leave my home for approximately 3 hrs. I told him that the office had not explained that to me but we would leave. We got back about 3 1/2 hrs later and every thing was fine. I noticed yesterday that we had palmetto bugs. I just called the office to tell them that I am still having a pest problem. After looking in their records, they told me that I did not have a complete pest control. And if I wanted him to come back out, it would be another $50. I told her that when I called to order the service I wanted the pest-control and I was also having a major problem with fleas. At this point, she told me that it was $50 for him to come back out. I told her no thank you. I would never use Ledfords again.

 + -1 moreThe experience was very good. There was one gentleman that they sent over, and I had asked for the green pest control and he sort of talked me out of it. I called the company and they fixed it by sending someone else who redid the job. I was satisfied.

 + -1 moreThey all come and go quickly. They remind me about my termites by keeping me up to date and things like that. They charge $70 quarterly. For termites, it is about $250 a year. They have an infinite program. If I refer people, they give me a discount. Overall, I have had a wonderful experience with them. Their price hasn't gone up inordinately high over many years. They are certainly easily accessible. I had ants one time, and they came right out and things like that. They don't put me off.

 + -1 more.. See above.... great... how do you place a price on peace of mind when one of your major investments is at stake. We know the rest of the job will be done as soon as an assessment is done and that it will be done right!
Description of Work: We have a stucco (real stucco..not the newer sprayed styrofoam method) office building that is approximately 3000 square feet. When the building was constructed in 1984, the site was treated with the termite controlling product at that time.(chlordane). From what we were told by the contractor, we would never have to worry about termites. Well, that may be true if the structure of the building is never breached by a termite.. but there are vents, cracks, etc. that open the permimeter to infestation and we are learning that whatever the construction.... get an opinion from a good exterminator on Day ONE of occupancy. And continue to have the building checked regularly regardless of claims by the contractor. About six months ago I noticed that a piece of window framing looked "wavy" in a small area.. about six inches of a four foot run of moulding. At the time I thought it seemed odd that the manufacturer would install it when it was so poorly sanded compared to the rest of the moulding. This past Thursday it was noticed that the entire piece of moulding was "wavy".. and spongy. Panic. We called Ledford's immediately and Charlie Ledford came by to check it out that afternoon. Definitely termite destruction. There was no other indication that anything was wrong. Tearing out the surrounding wood around the window, we found that all the wood in the immediate area was spongy and paper-like. It was incredible. Ledford's treated the immediate area and will be treating the entire building as a precaution. He said he would leave it up to us as to treating the entire structure... but we will definitely be doing whatever he suggests to protect our investment in this building. Everyone we know (we've been in the Charleston area since 1967) uses Ledford's and knows that for at least two generations, they are the folks you can trust to do it right and reasonably. The perimeter of the building will be trenched and treated (estimate around $1000) and attic spaces, etc. will be treated as per needed. Final inspection will dictate cost but we know it will be fair and reasonable. Simply no need to ever "shop around" when something as important as your home or other buildings are involved!
