He fixed the problem and showed me how to do it myself

Work was going to be performed on a Friday afternoon but the appointment was missed. He acknowledged missing the appointment and asked to reschedule. We set a date for the next week and he failed to show up again. No courtesy calls were made before either appointment and I took off work to meet the technician. Jacob's Appliance asks for a $75 appearance fee, but my time is worth something too. I should send a bill and perhaps they'll understand the point better. Stuff comes up, but if someone can't manage a 2 minute call to say they failed to keep a promise then they're pretty useless in my book.

He showed up on time and as soon as he took a look - ice in the bottom of the bottom-freezer - he knew what was wrong and fixed it, a clogged drain. And he showed ME how to fix it so that I'd "never have to pay to get this fixed again". I was really impressed.

Herman, was on time, identified the problem, fixed the problem and charged accordingly for the service call.

I like their quality and cost. I went with them because of a recommendation several years ago and his past performance has been great. He is also an electrician and a plumber.

It was late after 5:00 pm when I called and Jacob was closed. I left a message for them to call me. They phoned the next day but it wasn't till like 10:00am. So in all honesty I cannot give a review other than they called me back . I hired someone else.

Would not know since they never returned to calls.

I have used Jacob's for many years. He called before coming to the appointment and arrived a little early. All the work was done quickly and perfectly. Jacobs has always done a great job on appliance repair for me over the years and frankly on anything I have ever needed done to the house. He is qualified to do many other tasks besides appliance repair.
