The only reason I did not rate a 5 all the way was because they were a little short on the sod and it took a couple weeks to come back to finish. The new sod is a little different in color . Hoping they will eventually look the same!

There was no written contract and via email communication, I had to ensure I was getting the correct sod type. The first disappointment was the contractor could not install the requested french drain to alleviate poor drainage. On the scheduled install date, two pallets of sod were left curbside. The contractor did not arrive and did not call. I called to find out what was going on -- left a message. My call was returned with an explanation that their trailer had broken down and the anticipated installation would be 1st thing the following morning. The next day, no one arrived until after 1PM. The sod had been cut two days earlier, we were in the midst of a heat wave, and the top layer of grass was browning out...but that did not stop them from putting it on the ground. The installers left with instructions to soak it all for at least 40 minutes and water it heavily for the rest of the week and it should green up. Some of the new lawn is not getting green. The second disappointment was that the side of the yard where the cancelled french drain was to be(toward the rear), was left completely undone. So at the curb, I have two different lawns either side of the driveway and the untouched side looks like scrappy bare dirt. I am sure there was a misunderstanding somewhere with the french drain being cancelled by the contractor. The third disappointment was on the opposite side of the house, the estimate and measure was to go approximately 30 feet. That measure came up about 14 feet short. The final disappointment is my new lawn is a green and brown checkerboard that may eventually even out. I can guarantee that if it does not, I will not be calling GreatestScapes to fix it. Overall, I paid a market average price per pallet of zoysia sod that was left in the street for a day and a half. In retrospect, I should have called at noon on the second day of not showing up on time and cancelled the entire job.

Bruce gave us a fare price and completed the job earlier than expected, which was great. Sod was installed neatly and it looks beautiful. This is a professional company and I will definitely use them again.

Bruce is excellent with follow up and very very knowledgeable. His crew did a great job. They left a few places that weren't as level as I would have liked but the areas may settle as they are high trafficked. By far, the most cost efficient of anyone I talked to before hiring them!

They buried a number of sprinkler heads, and didn't level portions of lawn with extra dirt I had, like I had hoped.
