Service provided was very good. I appreciated that we were told up front it would be a couple of months before we could get on the schedule. We were not in a great hurry, so that was fine. Finding anyone who is willing to do a smaller job like this seems to be hard, so I would definitely recommend Derek and his crew.

Responded when I contacted them, came out to give an estimate for a couple jobs, and then scheduled people to come. We had a fence section repaired and painted, and a couple screen doors installed in our porch. Work was done in a timely way for a reasonable cost. What more can you ask for! Will call them again.

"VERY RESPONSIVE"...They were 8 weeks out. I wasn't able to wait that long. They responded immediately to let me know that they would be interested in the work but would be a few weeks before they could do anything. For that, I thank them tremendously.

Mr. Freeman and his assistant were very professional in regard to replacing the entire fascia board with treated wood as well as the trim board and installing a new drip edge. The work entailed moving the gutter in order to access the boards. All the work was done at the highest point on the roof line requiring a maximum ladder length. Upon completion, the workplace was cleaned up with no debris remaining.

The job went very smoothly. The workmen showed up on time and were very professional. The job took about four days. While Mr. Freeman was not there all of the time, he did come each day to make sure that things were going well. The only glitch was a small leak under the shower door (the existing door was reinstalled). When I called Mr. Freeman he came the next day and took care of the problem. We were very satisfied with the work from start to finish. We paid a deposit when we signed the contract for the work. I was impressed that our check was not cashed until the work was actually started. We would certainly recommend Freeman Repair and Remodeling.

Excellent. This company is the "Boy Scouts" among contractors. They were honest, hard working, on time, and neat. Derek Freeman, the owner, was on site. He was very personable and courteous. We are having them come to enlarge our deck (pending HOA approval).

Derek Freeman and his team were very easy to work with. The price was good for all they did. They showed up on time, were efficient and professional. They replaced a large portion of siding above my two car garage that was rotten with hardi board and it really looks great. I love it. This was the first time I'd used Angie's list choose a contractor to do work and I would absolutely recommend Derek Freeman and his crew. Good work guys.

He did respond quickly but said he could not help us with any of our needs. If you are a home repair company you should be able to provide home repairs. He told us we needed a licensed plumber, electrician, and roofer. What does this company do then? Are you licensed to repair anything?

We were very pleased with the work completed by Derek Freeman and his team! We originally hired them to repair rotten wood on the outside of our pool house, and then after seeing the quality of their work, asked them to complete our pool house renovation and some smaller jobs in our home. Freeman's estimates were very competitive and more than fair in a market where prices seem to fluctuate wildly. Moreover, they were highly professional and generally nice people- we felt very comfortable with Derek's team working inside our home, and will certainly hire them again for future projects. The work was completed promptly and we are happy with all that was done.

The professionalism and work ethic exhibited by the remodeling crew from Freeman Repair and Remodeling is that which one expects of every contractor but unfortunately one encounters only a very, very few. The craftsmen from Freeman Remodeling were meticulous in the finite detail of their work and the finished product was absolutely outstanding. There were no "hidden surprises" during this remodeling, as every facet of the job was explained before the repair and remodeling process began. These proffessionals cleaned up all construction debris everyday as they worked and left none behind. You can just tell when someone takes pride in the work that they do. And they tolerated, even seemed to like, our curious and sometimes rambunctious animals (five dogs-a Shepard, a boxer, a pit bull, a cavalier king charles and a peek-a-pom, plus one cat and one bearded dragon lizard).

The work was excellent. It is great watching someone work who knows exactly what they are doing. He went the extra mile, and added another shelf with material that we had already in the closet.

Our Master bath was in need a new paint job, with light installation. A guest bath needed wall paper removed and repainting. Our screened in porch needed painting. Exterior section needed replacement due to rot. Some of our deck wood needed replacement.

Derek did a very nice job on this small bathroom. We were looking for an honest contractor that would work with us on some of the fixtures that we purchased. Derek was always punctual and left the work area spotless every day. He came back right away after we found a couple of minor cosmetic issues to fix. One of the best experiences I have had with a contractor!

Freeman repaired ceiling drywall damaged by water. He removed damaged drywall and installed and finished new drywall. Job went smoothly and professionally from start to finish. Well satisfied.

1. Chimney removal: Bricks were removed by a crew of 3 and then subsequently carried through my house out the front door (instead of out the back door where the demolition was taking place). This resulted in a layer of black ash covering every single surface in my house, even settling inside cabinets and closets (clothes, moldings, picture frames, plates, upholstery, linens, blinds, pets, rugs, comforters, etc). It apparently got into the air system and despite cleaning, dusting, and mopping 3 times a day, there was black ash everywhere even several weeks later. Both my homeowner's insurance representative and ServePro immediately mentioned that it was a "rookie mistake" not to seal off the room, and this should've been done without question. Therefore, since it was due to negligence of the contractor, my homeowner's insurance would not cover any of the clean-up. Derek was willing to do the following: come back daily to clean/dust, brought over new air filters (which I have been changing every several days), and pay for a professional cleaning service. He was NOT willing to do the following: pay for upholstery/rug cleaning (they are darkened with ash - see picture of orange chair) or to clean out air ducts/air handler (as suggested by Servepro and the insurance company) since that "would cost more than the cost of the job itself." He also wouldn't file a claim with his insurer, I'm guessing for the same reason (the deductible was likely more than the job). Despite this being 100% his fault, he would not even split the cost of the duct cleaning and/or upholstery per my request. I have therefore taken on over $500 in cleaning expenses ($190 for upholstery and rugs, $325 for air duct cleaning, plus cleaning supplies). I will say that his professional cleaner did a very thorough job on the final house cleaning though. 2. Insulation and drywall in laundry room closet: Nailheads were left sticking out with no spackle or sanding (which I was willing to overlook. See attached picture). I could not overlook the fact that drywall was cut too short and didn't meet the wall on one side. (See attached pictures.) Derek came out immediately and placed some molding to seal off the 1/4 inch gap left down the entire side of the wall. 3. New porch posts: These were done professionally and look exactly as I requested. I was really pleased with how they turned out. The knots did leak "sap" or "pitch." (See attached picture). Derek came out immediately and put Kills over the stains. It seems to be holding up so far. In short, this weeklong project turned into a month-long nightmare. While Derek was punctual, professional, and responsive, this really was not worth it, and I would never use his services again. It was overall unprofessional work, and he refused to take responsibility for his mistake (costing me > $500 of my own money to fix). In the end it would've been cheaper for me to go with one of the estimates from a more professional contractor, and I likely would've had a more professional job done. Derek is a nice person and truly tried to make things as good as he was willing to spend, but unfortunately it was not enough.

I didn't use them again. I ended up using laminate floors. They came out within a couple days to look at the job and they estimated about $3000. I didn't dislike anything about them. I just didn't have the money so I did the work myself. They were fine.

Mr Freeman has been one of my best finds on Angies List. He was very quick to call me back (my initial call was after hours) and was able to come by and look at what we needed done within a couple of days. Once we agreed on the work to be done and the price for that work he showed up on the day he said he would and completed the work within the time he said he would.. When I noticed a small issue with the back door that was replaced he was there the day after I called him to fix it (without any hemming or hawing about it as I have experienced with other contractors). Really couldn't be happier with everything. Freeman Repair and Remodeling will be the ONLY company i'll call for any future work that needs to be done to this house or any other I may own.

It went great. He showed up on time, did a great job and charged us a very reasonable price. I know he had to fit this in among much bigger jobs he had so we really appreciated it.

Freeman is a skilled handyman who proved to provide quality work when tackling the array of projects indicated above. A reasonable up front fee was paid in advance by check to procure materials needed for the job. Though the check was provided weeks in advance, it was only cashed just a few days prior to commencement of work. The work was done on time and per our agreement. I cannot find anything negative to say about this company and I would definitely hire the company again as well as recommend them to others.

It went really well and they did a super job. My parents were really pleased and said the person did what he said he was going to do and was on time.

I'm sure it was an unusual request for him but he took careful measurements and gave me a reasonable estimate. Once I hired him and we'd set a date, he showed up on time...a little early even, and went right to work. I expected it to take the better part of an afternoon but he completed the whole thing, painting and all, in about 2.5 hours. I found him to be very professional and my cats and I are pleased with the outcome.

, From the original inspection to the quote thru all phases of the work they were on time, did the work required, no problems or issues, I would use them again, I would recomend them to you
