Thomas completed a residential property appraisal for me, the buyer, on a FSBO property in order to determine a fair market price for preliminary negotiations with the seller. Although he was a little late for the appointment and had some minor discrepancies in his report, he was spot on with the appraisal price based on the price per square foot for the neighborhood. The property was unlike any in the neighborhood, he corrected his minor discrepancies and took full responsibility for the oversight, and was able able to professionally field questions from the owner of the property who felt that the home was worth more than fair market appraised value. The comps that were used in this appraisal were solid. The 2 minor discrepancies did not affect the value of the property and therefore, did not negativity weigh into my review. I was promised the completed appraisal in 5 business days due to 'busyness of his schedule' (I would have preferred 3 days) however, I did receive the appraisal in 5 business days. Overall, it was good work. The appraisal was solid and I would use this company again.

Thomas came and did a thorough job going through our house to provide an appraisal. As I was not there when the service was being performed, when I received an emailed copy of the appraisal it met my expectations and I was well done.

This was a routine appraisal for a loan. The appraiser was efficient and friendly.

They worked hard to find the correct comps for my house, which was not easy in this market, as most of the houses in my neighborhood are much smaller. They were responsive and explained things thoroughly

We had an appraiser for some acreage we bought. The first appraiser who was from the mortgage company refused to even walk the property since it was wooded and fairly thick. She said we needed to get a new survey which would cost nearly $10,000 and she would appraise it from what the surveyors said. We canceled that appraisal and called Thomas at Atlantic Appraisals. He went right out and gave us a great appraisal without a new survey or other costs. He was quick and the appraisal numbers were right on. His company was very reputable and when we wanted to switch the bank had no problems using Atlantic.
