We hired Charleston Electric to do three jobs at our home (install recessed lights in a tray ceiling, convert a 240v service to 120v and install an outdoor TV). One of the owners, William came out to look at the jobs the next day after I contacted them. He had creative ideas on how to make the work simpler and to reduce the scope and cost of the work, all of which I happily accepted. I received a detailed proposal the following day, which I accepted, and the work was completed early the following week. Steve and Mike who did the work were very professional, pleasant and incredibly neat, they arrived right on time and gave us a reminder call 30 minutes prior to arrival. Overall I am thrilled with the results, a very professional install done without having to make any holes in drywall at all and they left our home cleaner than they found it. The pricing was very fair especially for a relatively small job. I would not hesitate to use them again and I have already recommended them to friends.

It went great. He pointed out things that needed to be done. We said, in the future, if we do them, we might contact him. They were on time and respectful to me. They were very courteous and professional. We were very satisfied with everything they were involved with.

It was wonderful! I'm in the process of giving them a contract to do just a couple of things like put in a surge protector and a couple of things. They were great. Everything would be an "A" I can tell you - from quality to the appointment time, to the service, to the explanation. They just were wonderful. I am going to use them again. They sent the same person back the second time to my daughter's house. He cleaned up, he sent me an email with everything he told me; I mean, I just couldn't ask for anyone to be any better.

It went very well. They give you a good report back. I would highly recommend them. Someone was there to let them in.

They had all the required material for extra tasks in the truck that we ask them. Reasonable price for quality work. They are now our electricains.

Charleston Electric was pricey, but they did a great job. They left a *lot* of holes in the walls, some of which probably could have been avoided if they'd been more careful or used specialized tools...but I would still hire them again.

They were here, fixed it and two other problems I had in under an HOUR. Professional, cost effective and no unnecessary, high pressure sales tactics. I appreciate them SO MUCH and will use them for all my electrical needs!

The first visit was just fine. They worked quickly and efficiently and were on time. A little pricey but not a big deal. The second visit was a bust. I had explained on the phone that I needed them to replace electrical outlets in the living room and dismantle an outdoor light but when they arrived, they were under the impression that it was just one or two outlets needing work. When I told them the scope of the work, the more senior electrician acted annoyed, explained to me he didn't have time to do it all, and furthermore implied that it was my fault. I did not like the interaction at all. I do get the feeling, as with other reviewers here, that they really just want to get paid and don't have much interest in interacting with clients - like they have been successful for so long, they have just gotten complacent and entitled. They workers act put out and like you are inconveniencing them. Blech!

They were on time. Very professional. Gave us good pointers on how to protect our tv and computer. Will use them again.

The man that came out was fantastic. He explained everything he was doing. They have to come back out to finish due to it was more work than I advised them it was. BUT what do I know. Today only took an hour

We came home to find a strong smell of burning rubber coming from the area where our panel box is. I couldn't see smoke or fire, so I called an electrician ASAP to try to head off even more serious trouble. My next step would have been to call the fire department, if needed. Angie's List rated Charleston Electric as a top provider and there was even a coupon in the last issue of Angie's List magazine, so I immediately called them. The woman answering the call couldn't have been more receptive to my concern and immediately began working out how they could accommodate this emergency. She was knowledgeable about electrical issues and able to ask me several questions that would help the technician plan for his visit to us. Fortunately, a wonderful technician came in less than an hour and half of my call and quickly identified old, brittle wires in the box that had caused some problems with 2 breakers. He removed the wires, replaced the 2 breakers, and also identified a fluorescent ceiling fixture had burned to a char on one end, causing much of the stench. For that he removed the bulbs, made the area safe, and advised us to get a new fixture of a different type that could be replaced on another visit, if desired. I believe the excellent technician and dispatcher, working quickly together, saved us from a full-blown electrical fire that could have quickly progressed to a whole house fire. We are extremely grateful to Charleston Electric for their timely response and professionalism. We would highly recommend this provider!

Electrician came at the designated appointment. He was excellent. Very knowledgeable and professional. He came with years of experience, yet he was methodical inn completing his work. I would recommend and use him again without question.
