We contracted with Chas. Electric because of the "Deal" and the great reviews they'd been given by previous customers. We weren't disappointed on either of those counts. I know that we received excellent value for all the work that was done. Work done looks great. I think we've found our go-to electrician!

Very courteous and professional; they showed up on time and cleaned up afterward. Recommended services I might want to consider to protect my household appliances.

Arrived a little early, finished quickly and offered to do additional stuff if I needed it... First rate..

My issue was that my kitchen has only two circuits; one dedicated to the refrigerator, more or less, and the other for everything else including all lights and all outlets. When I was using the rotisserie, or the electric griddle and somebody reheated their coffee in the microwave, the breaker tripped and I was out to the panel resetting it; I don't know if that's a hazard, but it sure was a pain in the butt. The solution was to put the microwave on its own circuit by isolating the inner-cabinet outlet it was plugged into. Communication throughout the planning of the project, all the way through the completion of the job was outstanding. The electrician was thorough in his evaluation of the project and his projection of time needed for completion (worst case scenario) , and the potential cost of the project. The electricians from Charleston Electric arrived on time and ready to get started. Previously, one of them had come out for a quick look at the job and the challenges that it might provide since it's a house built in the mid-60's, but when they both arrived, they discussed the job and found a better solution to accomplish the task even quicker, saving quite a bit of money for me. They worked steadily, efficiently, and without damaging anything as opposed to the last electrician that I hired in another state. They allowed me to purchase the materials from the list the first electrician provided which also saved some money for me, which is important since I'm retired and have more time than money, and have lots of time to run to Lowe's. The $99 special for two hours of labor I purchased through Angie's List was a terriffic deal for me; with two electricians working, it took only about an hour (or basically two man-hours) so there was no additional cost to me. I have another larger job coming up next spring and would not even consider hiring anybody for that other than Charleston Electric. I highly recommend this company!

The young man was very polite and knew exactly what was needed. He left to get the boxes, returned quickly and did the work. He also checked my outside light, and even changed a bulb in my dining room fan. I was very pleased with the service. I had a quote of $260.00 from another electrician, so I was really happy to find Charleston Electric, and get the work done for only $99.

Very punctual, showed up on time and got right to work. Was up front about time limit that tracing the problem could take, but was able to find the issue and resolve it in the time frame allotted. Was even very nice about encountering a snake in our attic, which had to be a very unpleasant shock! Very pleased with his professionalism and the job done. Would definitely recommend him and use his services again!

The came, they saw, they fixed. Two men arrived on time, very professional and courteous, got my problems fixed in minutes. They even checked my circuit breaker box to make sure everything was in good shape. My short circuits were minor problems but based on the overall experience, I would definitely use their services again.

, and did not realize that It went very badly. I purchased the Angies list deal on March 15. Angie's List promised a 2 day response turnaround. Charleston Electric responded on March 19. After I was contacted and sent a task list, Charleston Electric scheduled: and quot;I have you scheduled for Monday March 31st around 8am.and quot; and quot; ... I will contact you in regards to scheduling an estimate time. and quot; On Monday morning, no one showed up at 8am. I called and left an email, with no response. William Rusch showed up at 9am, and I told he was an hour late. He was unapologetic, responding that his boss set up the appointment and always sets up a one hour window. I wasn't told about a one hour window. I showed the workers into the house and turned on my under the counter kitchen light. It has a delay. William immediately told me that it was a florescent light that has delays. I was not happy with his presumption and told him to take a look at the light. Then, he saw that it was an LED light. I believe he was embarrassed by the mistake, and he said that he was and quot;not liking the interaction, and that [I] could get a refund from Angieslist.and quot; He then asked for his and quot;g****** card back,and quot; which I refused. And he and his helper left. I don't want any more contact with Charleston Electric and I do not recommend them. I do want a refund for this Deal, because they were not able to provide the service.

William arrived at the scheduled time. I showed him where I needed the new outlets and he said it was doable. He got the necessary materials and went to work. The outlets were successfully installed and he cleaned up after himself. The work was completed quickly and professionally and there is no need to touch up any of the walls. I would definitely call these folks for any future electrical needs!!

Charleston Electric contacted me immediately after my first call; they got the details of what I needed and gave me the installation date I requested. I later contacted Charleston Electric and asked for an earlier date. They were able to accommodate the new date. Charleston Electric arrived at exactly the scheduled time, assessed the situation, made the needed changes, reviewed the completed job with me, and made a satisfied customer. They do great work and they are very professional and courteous. I will not hesitate to use them again and gladly recommend them to others.

He did a thourogh professional job

He was called out to a property by 10:00am and said he would be there by 4:00. He was 2 hours late then he was rude and unprofessional. He doesn't care about customer service or if he gets your business. I had 3 other people go out and he was between $500 and $800 higher than anyone else. Then said in front of a residence that it was a lawsuit waiting to happen. Will never use again and do not recommend.

This was the best experience that I have ever had with a contractor! They not only answered the phone the first time that I called but were very polite and professional. They took no time to come out to my house to give me an estimate and schedule the job within a couple of days. Overall William and Robert exemplify the way that contractors should treat there customers.

Both young men were very nice and knowledgable. They made some recommendations which they will be doing on the 25th. The price they gave seem to be very reasonable for the amount of work they would be doing. Eitherway, getting the inspection was well worth it! I will post more once they complete the job.

William Rusch did a very thorough job of inspecting every outlet and wiring system, our generator, panel box, and smoke detector system in the entire house, inside and outside. He found issues and equipment that needs replacing or upgrading, and was very professional and helpful . I would recommend him for any electrical work.

Excellent service. They came in 1 day. They were careful to wipe wet feet before coming in. They were professional. They listened to the electrical questions I had. They gave me a written list of findings. They did not pressure me into buying more services, and did help me know what needed to be done, what was a kind wish and made suggestions about which things on the list a knowledgable handyman could do. I will use this company again, if I have problems with the electrical system.

I reside in a property which is approximately 40 years old. So, I was curious and concerned about the state and condition of the wiring . Upon arrival, William promptly accommodated my request to remove shoes or wear booties. He was professional and friendly throughout the process. Extremely knowledgeable and qualified, he was very efficient in conducting his inspection and testing. He made several appropriate recommendations (e.g., adding and strategically placing a smoke alarm in the living area of the home) designed to enhance safety. I'm very glad I ordered this service. It provides wonderful peace of mind. Finally, having just shared my experience with one of my neighbors, I've already recommended him and his services.

We've recently experienced issues with a set of GFC outlets in our kitchen tripping both at the outlet and breaker at the box. Additionally, we recently had sparking when plugging into a couple of outlets in other rooms. Charleston electric was running a big deal coupon on AL for a whole house electrical assessment. I bought the coupon, called Charleston Electric to explain my issues and schedule an appointment. William was responsive, punctual, courteous and professional. He tested our breaker box and every outlet in the home. He provided an understandable assessment of what could be improved, and even more importantly, he told me what I did not need to address or spend money to repair needlessly. He provided a detailed quote that was separated into sections that could be completed independent of one another which made it much easier for me to budget for what needs to be done in order of priority. Overall, I recommend Charleston Electric to anyone needing an electric evaluation of their home and will definitely use Charleston Electric for my required electric improvements and repairs.

Very fast response, they came out the same day and worked around my schedule (I'm a a mother of four, that is always busy). They were quick, clean and very personable (I did not feel uncomfortable having them in my house at all). While at my house they also replaced a dead battery in the upstairs hallway smoke detector just to be helpful and free of charge. Anyone that goes above and beyond what they are expected to do receives an and quot;Aand quot; in my book, that quality is not very prevalent these days. Overall a great transaction.
