Everything went smooth and professional. Service techs were very friendly and courteous, cleaned up as they went along with the jobs.

The electrician Steve arrived right on time for the appointment. He was soon accompanied by his assistant Paul. Both gentlemen were courteous and professional. Beyond that, they were personable and kind. There is something to be said for the customer service experience with a lot of vendors these days. Many will come in, do the work, and leave me feeling like I was left out of the process. Not in this case. While Steve was working on the outlet, him and Paul talked to me about other projects that I want to get done. They are definitely good people in the friendliest sense. Steve inspected the area that needed the outlet and explained the process and went a step further and asked about the new dishwasher, making sure that it wasn't a hardwired model and even offered to add a power cord to the current dishwasher so it would be functional until the new dishwasher is installed later this week. That's a true professional to me. Someone who doesn't just do the job but wants to understand the consumer's needs in the short/long term. When the job was done we continued a brief conversation about other projects including under cabinet lighting and can lights in the ceiling. Work order was signed and both gentlemen left with a hearty handshake. I will definitely use Charleston Electric again in the near future! Their professionalism, personalism, and overall attitudes were like having knowledgable friends working on my home. There is nothing like feeling trust and confidence in the work done! They showed up within the 1 hour window and were done with 30 minutes. The only thing I was disappointed in was that this is a one and done surge protector...if the house is hit by lightning and trips the protector, there is no breaker to reset...it is blown and needs to be replaced for some amount of money (the installer did not know how much). Overall I'm still happy to have the added protection that hopefully will never be used.

Very good service at affair price.

I hired this contractor to install fans in a slanted ceiling. I was never asked a question regarding the ceiling and when the men (2) go there, they said they could not do it because I needed an extender. Then they said they could get one and the cost would be 250 per fan. I had three. THIS WAS A TOTAL RIP OFF and I am upset. I paid this amount for NOTHING- just a visit!

Service rep came when appt. set. Checked dryer. Plug had burned out. Replaced dryer plug. Very professional and knowledgeable. Will call again.

Overall I am satisfied with this service. They called the day before the scheduled appointment to help them prepare for the issues. The team called on the day of service and gave me an ETA. Once on site the quickly diagnosed the issues and began corrective action. They solved all my electrical issues. I did think the service was high--however, I have nothing to base that conclusion other than they were quick to apply a 10%+ discount. Despite my perception on price, I would continue to use them in the future

They were prompt and confirmed the appointment beforehand. It was expensive but electricians usually are. The person that came was very professional and efficient. I would use them again and highly recommend them.

The owner, William, came out personally to troubleshoot our electrical panel. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and thorough in addressing our issues. The owner, William Rusch, came to our house to do the electrical inspection himself. He took his time to look into the areas needing repair, and, gave a good explanation of the electrical language, when needed. We received a good price for work to be done in the near future. We are looking forward to the same professional work when repairs are made.

Electricians showed up very promptly at 8am as scheduled and immediately began work. Ran a line from an existing outlet down the wall and installed new electrical outlet as requested. Required some extra work to run the line around some support beams in the wall. All told job took just under 90 minutes. Price was as discussed. Even honored a 5% off Angie's list coupon that I did not know about at the time of the initial estimate. Electricians were very polite and professional. Excellent and fast work. Will definitely use again.

This was one of the best purchases I've made in a long time. William from Charleston Electric got in touch with me right away to schedule an appointment, and when I had to cancel, he quickly rescheduled. He spent about two hours here, checking my circuit breaker box, all the outlets in my house, all the smoke and CO2 detectors and the emergency shut-off switches on my HVAC, heat pump and water heater. He even checked out and fixed a few problematic lights at no additional charge. Instead of giving me a long list of issues to follow up on (which would have meant followup business for him), he toldme that everything looked great. The few suggestions he made, he told me I could probably do them myself if I wanted to, and he explained how. This is an old house, and I was worried about a few issues, but he explained everything to me and gave me peace of mind. Best $75 I've spent in a long time.

Steve arrived on schedule and quickly discovered that the wires coming into the breaker box were worn and were shorting on part of the box. He disassembled the breaker, rewired it and installed a plastic part to prevent future problems. The box is in a inconvenient location but he was able to reinstall the box so that it was more stable than when he arrived. He looked at the dimmer problem and determined that it was just a loose wire so he tightened the connection and we had lights again. Through the entire process, Steve was very professional and didn't let any little problems distract him.

After a brief delay caused by an error in my contact phone number the owner and one of his technicians showed up around 6:30pm to troubleshoot a loud humming from our main circuit breaker. They very quickly isolated the problem, made some adjustments and a repair and issue was resolved. To make up for the delay in getting out to us the owner (Mr. Rusch), very graciously, would not accept any payment for their work. He and his technician just seemed genuinely happy to assist us. Having managed a large workforce of mostly technicians in my last position I was highly impressed with the professionalism and technical ability on display in my garage. In addition, they clearly communicated to me exactly what the problem was and how to correct it. If left undetected I am confident this issue would have only gotten worse to the extent of an expensive repair and an unsafe condition. I selected Charleston Electric based on numerous positive comments here on Angie's List and they did not disappoint.

Robert instructed me on what I could do for completing the circuit in alternate methods for the GFCI protection required and was very helpful. I had tried using a GFCI breaker, but the one I had was a failure out of the packaging. Figured out how to get it fixed to work properly and he pointed out a few things to make sure of. Was great to have the advice and after a quick trip to the hardware store, all is working well. Will definitely call them back if I have any other issues or upgrades I want done but not sure how to do.

Appointment was made within 2 days of my calling. Steve arrived promptly at the 8am appointment time. He was friendly, neatly dressed, knowledgeable and professional. He answered all my questions and left the area clean. Very nice young man.

Representative was pleasant, professional and arrived on time. He provided a verbal report and fixed one small issue while here. He said he would send a follow-up email summary of findings but we never received it.
