The service turned out very good. They responded quickly. They were professional and punctual.

They were okay! I think they were a little overpriced, because I ended up going with a different electrician the second time around. They were very reliable, dependable, good communication. Was a little on the expensive side. I had them do some of the work and the other company do the rest because of prices were not as expensive as Charleston Electric.

Contacted Charleston Electric and they had a repair man working in our area. Paul got to our house in approximately 30 minutes. He was courteous and quite professional. Replaced the malfunctioning smoke detector which corrected the problem. He then explained when the remaining smoke detectors should be replaced and pointed out the most economical way to do this. The prompt response was greatly appreciated and we have not had any further trouble.

Very well. He told us we didn't have the proper breakers on our fuse box and suggested a surge protector for it, which we did. There was no pressure for the protector , but we felt it would be a good idea. He also found problems with the smoke alarms, which are over 10 yrs. old, and wired in, and replaced all of them. The breakers on the fuse box definitely needed to be brought up to code. As far as the initial product of the inspection itself, he tested all our outlets and alarms and inspected the fuse box . Other than the smoke alarms, everything was working well. The $59 paid for the initial electrical inspection.. We opted to have the 8 smoke alarms replaced, the surge protector installed and the breakers brought up to code. I don't have any comparison to know if the price is normal but he did a nice job and was very courteous.

Tech had new alarms in truck and was able to install them immediately after the inspection. Total time for both 1.5 hrs.

We didn't have a great experience with this company in regards to both the work and the company itself. We had ordered some pendant lighting for over the bar that hadn't come in when they started the work for the canned lighting. When we were going over where the canned lighting was going I gave them a general idea of where the pendant lights were going to go. The electrician ended up putting holes in the ceiling in the incorrect places for the pendant lighting. We still have two holes that have to be fixed and he couldn't be bothered the fix them. The electrician seemed more interested in getting paid rather than ensuring that we were satisfied with the work.

It turned out okay. They came out soon after I bought the service. As soon as I was able to make contact with them and establish somebody to come out and do the required work, it didn't take long. I think that I would use him again in future. I got his business card and if I need to use him again, I will just give him a call. He had to cut in to my wall with the saw to run another line from the fuse box. It was in my garage because I needed another outlet. I have two refrigerators, one is a freezer and one is a refrigerator. There was a lot of dust or something on the floor or steps. Probably, he didn't cleanup as well as he should.

Electrician came out the next day and installed an outlet within an hour. Although it was more than I wanted to pay, I thought the price was fair

Everything was perfect. From the appointment (fast) to the repair everyone I came in contact with was professional. Repairs were done quickly and pricing was very fair. It's a well run business.

It worked out fine. I had to complain and then they came out the next day, they said there was something wrong with the email.

This vendor didn't seem interested in our business. His concern was the payment and only the payment. He did not seem happy or willing to help us out.

This is the third time that I have hired Charleston Electric to perform electrical work in my home. Each experience has been great. I have left one review before, so this review will focus on Charleston Electric's most recent service. I contacted Charleston Electric primarily to install recessed lighting in my husband's "man cave". Neither I nor my husband have any experience with recessed lighting. The owner of the company, Robert, came out to my house to discuss the scope of work and provide advice about the number and placement of recessed lights. Robert and I also discussed several other smaller projects that I needed completed. He provided me with a written estimate the same day. Following the initial consultation, I emailed Robert several times for advice regarding the purchase of recessed lights. He always responded promptly and answered all of my questions. He followed up with me two times by phone just to make sure I didn't have any other questions or concerns. When I made a final decision about the recessed lights and other smaller projects, I contacted Robert and the work was scheduled for the following week. Everything went very smoothly with the installation of the recessed lighting, as well as the other smaller projects. I was very happy with the placement of the recessed lights and was pleased that there was no drywall damage during the installation of the lights. Additionally, Robert and his crew made the suggestion that, for safety, we should consider a surge protector on the electrical panel and smoke alarms in all of the upstairs bedrooms. They were by no means pushy with their suggestion. I felt that they were giving us this advice not to make more money, but because they are professional electricians who feel that the safety of their customers is important. After a little consultation, my husband and I agreed to have these things installed. Everything was installed the same day, with no need for a second appointment. We will continue to use Charleston Electric for future electrical needs!

We purchased a deal to have recessed lights installed. Before the install, the owner reached out to me to discuss the project in detail. He also called the night before to confirm the appointment. He also called as one of the electricians was on their way to make sure everyone was on the same page. The electrician who showed up was very professional, experienced and a pleasure to deal with. His work was of extremely high quality. No mess left behind and no need to make any drywall repairs. Overall, this was one of the better experiences we have had dealing with a vendor. I would definitely consider them for any future electrical work.

Excellent job. Rescheduled my appointment to an earlier time in the day and was very cooperative. Did a good job, left no mess. Price was higher than what I was accustomed, but I guess it was the market price in Charleston.

Was prompt upon arrival ....performed the job in less than an hour ...was pleasant and professional ...would hire them again and recommend them to others...
