I purchased the 33.66 sq.yds of vinyl for 328.32 including tax. A salesmen gave me Carpet Wholesaler's card with a contractor named Nate Commodore to do the installation checked. He installed the vinyl on 9/26/16 and I thought it was okay, but then I noticed places that were bubbling up on the floor. I called the store and they said to contact the installer. I also noticed that he had cut the vinyl instead of removing the board as he had agreed to do. He came by and said he could fix it by injecting glue in to all the places where it was popping up, but there were so many I said I wanted the job redone. He refunded me the amount I paid him for labor $650.00 plus $3.32. I told him and the manager of the store, Mike, that I would accept that if I could redo the floor and not have to pay anything additional. The same vinyl I purchased Aspin 890 was now selling for 12.99 a sq.yd. and another installer they recommended named Anthony quoted me $425.00 for labor. Mike didn't want to give me the vinyl at the reduced price because he said he was losing money and got real mad because I wasn't satisfied with just getting the refund on the labor. I contacted the salesmen who sold it to me and he emailed me back that Mike finally agreed to sell me the vinyl for $218.74. I asked Anthony if he had references and he never contacted me back with the references or to set up a time. I asked a friend that had purchased carpet from them and she gave me the name of her installer, but he never returned my call. I called several other carpet installers that I found on Angie's list but couldn't get anyone to do the job or pick up the vinyl. I think they were afraid to because Carpet Wholesalers had put the word out. I still have to have buy new flooring materials and have the job completely redone which is going to cost a lot of money not to mention the inconvenience. I got another quote from The Carpet Store for over $1000.00 and moving my double oven was $100.00 by itself. . I got the board off with a drill so I know the installer could have. If he didn't want to do it he should have told me that before he started the installation. He also didn't roll the vinyl and I heard him talking about not having enough glue so I don't know what he did that caused the mess, but Carpet Wholesalers should refund me the rest of the money so I can redo the job.
Description of Work: Removing existing vinyl from my kitchen and replacing with new vinyl. I also asked him to remove a board that was supporting the end of the counter so the vinyl could be installed under the dishwasher that I had recently purchased but had not installed.

I purchased vinyl for $328.32 and paid $650.00 in labor for my kitchen. I thought it was okay, but after about a month the vinyl started to bubble up in the center of the room. Then I noticed the installer had cut the vinyl under the board instead of removing it. He came over and told me he would fix it by injected glue with a hypodermic needle, but since there were so many places and he had cut the vinyl instead of removing it as he had agreed to, I said I wanted it done over. He refunded me $653.32 and I told Mike the manager that I would accept that if I could redo the job for amount. The vinyl I purchased, "Aspin 890" for $8.99/sq.yd. was now selling for $12.99/sq.yd and he said he would lose money if he sold it to me for that price and got real mad because I wasn't satisfied with just the labor being refunded. I called the salesman and he talked to Mike and emailed me that Mike agreed to sell me the vinyl for $218.74. I contacted another installer they recommended and asked for his references, but he never replied. A friend of mine had her vinyl installed by Carpet Wholesalers and she gave me the name of her installer but he never called me back. I contacted several flooring installers that were on Angie's list but they never called me back or said they didn't do vinyl. I couldn't get anyone to pick it up for me and I believe they put the word out because they didn't want to sell me the vinyl for $5.99 per yard. Mike said they weren't responsible for the installers and Nate Commodore had given me the money back for his labor, but their salesman, Todd Arnwine, had given me the card with Nate Commodore's name checked endorsing his work. I have to redo the entire job starting with removal of the vinyl that was installed and I lost $325.00 not to mention the inconvenience and stress I had to go through.

It went Great!! Dwayne from Carpet Wholesalers helped us pick out just the perfect Mohawk carpet and pad. The carpet and pad are guaranteed for 35 years against wear and staining. Dwayne even let us take a sample home to ensure it meets our expectation once installed. Once we decided on our purchase, Dwayne sent his people out to measure the rooms in our home. The were professional and finished their measurements in a very timely manner. Next we provided a down payment and Dwayne ordered the carpet and pad. Once the carpet arrived (approx. 2 weeks), we provided the final payment and Dwayne scheduled us for installation, working around our schedule. During the installation, Carpet Wholesalers installers were here for 2 days. The first day their were four people led by Dan Thompson, the second two came back, including Dan. They carefully moved everything to install the carpet. ( I had recently painted our home and didn't find the first place that had to be touched up.) Dwayne had layed out how the carpet should be cut and Dan was careful to cut it exactly as Dwayne had laid it out so as to not waste any. Dan ran all the seems and staircase and not a seem can be seen. All of the installers were careful with our things and very friendly. I am writing this about three weeks after the job was finished and we're still excited about our new carpet. Carpet Wholesale Management should take great pride in employees that exemplify their name in such a manner. I can easily recommend them to others.

I went with this company based on discussions with neighbors. My last carpet install was by one of the big box stores and I wasn't happy with the install or installers although the price was better. Christinia at the store was knowledgeable about ther product and was pleasant to deal with. The issues I had were with the installation. The quality of the installation was not what I was hoping for and in fact was below the quality of the big box install. Some of my issues with the insatll are; there are visable seams, the installers did not have a working vacuum to clean up the dust and debris so they tried to sweep it with a broom, the taping of the seams in padding. I made my selections of padding and carpet based on the fact that this house is a rental house. I selected a moisture resistant pad so the padding might not be soaked with moisture from steam cleaning and or pets. I discovered the old padding was also moisture resistand and the seams were carefully taped with duct tape and seemed very moisture proof and were of a high quality. The carpet wholesaler installers used a paper masking type of tape which did not seem moisture proof and did not seem to stick to the padding very well. It was pretty obvious because I kept the old moisture proof padding in two of the rooms so the quality of the new install was easy to compare as the old and new were side by side. I mainly purchased the more expensive padding based on Christinia's information about moisture resistance. I don't think that was a good choice based on the type of tape used as I believe any moisture will quickly find its way into the padding through the seams. The company promises to remove and haul away the old carpet and padding. The reality is if the carpet is pet stained and smelly they won't haul it away. They will haul it to the road with some very firm prodding. I understand this policy the carpet installers don't want a smelly van when they haul the new carpet to the house. I just wish I had know that before hand. They left the stained carpet and padding in the garage and when they were leaving they didn't want to take it to the curb. I had to insist that they haul it to the curb. In the end I said I would help them and the three of us carried carpet to the curb. I believe the quality of the install would have been worse if I was not present watching what was done. Of course it does look better than what was there. The installers did there best. It seems like a grueling job and I understand they didn't want to haul anymore carpet than they had to on a hot 90 degree day. There may be a reason why they don't use the standard silver duct for padding seems but they should as it seemed to be effective based on looking at he existing padding from ten years ago.

We actually had our living room and 1 bedroom carpeted in the downstairs of your home. We purchased the best padding they had. The installation team were right on time and proceeded to tear up the old carpet and padding. They did a great job in moving the furniture and returning everything to its proper place. It probably took about 3-4 hrs to get all the old stuff up and the new down. We were very pleased. Its now 5 mos later and we had noticed a couple places that needed stretched - that goes under the transition piece of wood around the hard wood floor when entering our home, in front of the door. I called and they are coming to do the stretching this week. We are very happy with Carpet Wholesalers and their responsivness to our needs.
Description of Work: We went to the store and explained basically what we wanted for the price we had in mind. We were shown various carpets in our price range and specifically said that we wanted the best padding. We were treated with professionalism and were not "hurried" into making a decision right away. They let us take our time in choosing the perfect carpet for your home.

I enjoyed working with Carpet Wholesalers' staff. They were excellent. The problem I had was not with Carpet Wholesalers, but with the subcontractor they used to install the carpets they sell. Carpet Wholesalers chose the installer. The installer was supposed to call me for instructions but they didn't. Therefore they connected new carpet to old carpet instead of finishing the edges of the new carpet and pulling the adjoining old carpet out. In addition, they covered one of my heat/air vents with carpet and just left it that way. Then I noticed that they had only replaced the padding in one of the 4 spaces. They left the old, smelly, pet-stained padding in most of the spaces and covered it with new carpet. When I mentioned that to them, the installer first said and quot;the padding comes in 2 colorsand quot;. Then when I pointed out that most of the padding was an exact match to my old padding, he changed his mind and said they didn't have the new padding in the truck (we saw a roll in there) so they'd need to come back the next day. We waited but they didn't show up the next day. They did 2 days later and ended up pulling out the new carpet, replacing the padding, and then installing the carpet again. It's fine now. They did resolve most of the issues without the need for Carpet Wholesalers' staff to get involved. I fixed the vent issue myself. But if I hadn't been right there watching them, the results would not have been good. I'd advise anyone hiring Carpet Wholesalers to check out who the installer will be. I didn't.

Carpet Wholesalers is great. We went in to browse and were amazed by the selection they had. We went ahead and put down the $250 refundable deposit to have them come and measure the carpet. Once we received the measurement they called the next day and were able to save us money by using remnants of the exact carpet we were going to purchase. With the money we saved, we were able to upgrade to the 8lb pad with the stain blocker built in and the final price came out to be the same as if we would have gotten the normal 6lb pad without the remnants. On installation day the crew was scheduled to begin at 6:00am but arrived at 5:45am and got right to work. They finished within a couple of hours and cleaned everything up.I would highly recommend them to anyone needing carpet.

It was excellent. They recommended the carpet and the carpet quality was excellent. It was what I wanted and what I asked for. They were very informative. If need be, I would use their services in the future too.
