Aviv Service Today

I called on a Saturday morning at 8:45 a.m. I had someone there to make the repairs by 11:00 a.m. The technician did an excellent job, performed the work quickly and efficiently.

You guys totally made it right. I appreciate your professionalism and dedication to quality service. Thank you.

I called the office late in the afternoon and I was able to make an appointment first thing for morning. The servicemen that came out was prompt and very nice he checked everything out and determined it was motherboard. $$ The board had to be ordered and it took six days he came again and was very prompt, very nice. After connecting the motherboard it's the washer still didn't work. In my machine there is another computer board. He ordered that one and it came in the next day and he brought it out. He installed that one & it still wouldn't work. So not knowing exactly want to do next. He called his supervisor and he came out a couple hours later. After all of this, it turned out to be the wall plugged. I do want to make sure everyone knows, that when tested the machine showed it was getting power but it wasn't. So I don't blame the first technician at all. I still would give them an A because of service, politeness and promptness

Realized about 10:30 AM that dryer was not drying clothes. went and read reviews about Aviv Appliance Repair and made my call to schedule an appointment. Spoke with Christi who is a very professional representative for your company and without hesitation let me know that she could have a repairman out to our home TODAY!!!! Mike came to our home and advised us what the problem was and how much it would cost to fix and once we said GO FOR IT, he went to work and did a FANTASTIC JOB!!! I am hoping that other appliances will stay healthy, but in the event that they become ill, I will not hesitate to use your company again!! Thank You!!!

The repair technician was professional and did a great job

I gave them a level to make use it was balanced. They ignored it. The machine is not balanced and makes a lot of noise when it spins.

The very professional servicemen have never failed to address my issues, are punctual (often same day service), workman-like & tidy. AND their repairs are permanent...they do not just try to fix a problem; they do fix the problem.

They stand by their work. When part was needed they had it shipped directly to my home, tracked when part was delivered and were there promptly to install. techs are always happy to answer my endless rookie questions.

Returned several days later and installed. It worked, but LG said something else needed to be done to get rid of a LG failure code and the noise. There was a large noise that sounded like a jet plane landing at the end of each wash load. They ordered a Stator and installed it. The noise continued so they just reset the code. At this time I was into the repair for $495.00. Parts and service call. They removed the stator part. Although the washer was working it was still making lots of noise. After research, my husband went and purchased a sensor and installed it himself. It reduced some of the noise. The washer is working with lesser noise. It cost 1200 new 6 years ago. I can't say it was Aviv fault, but omg...the cost of repair was awful. I'm hoping it will continue to work at least a year or so more. I won't spend another dime on it.

Called the main number in the morning to set up an appointment. The lady said she would call me back just as soon as the technicians called in. She called back within 10 minutes and said that a repairman was in the area and would be there within 20 minutes. The repairman arrived and checked out the dryer. Suprise!!! NO WAITING FOR PARTS. He had everything in his truck. What I thought would be a parts order and finished next week after the parts arrived. Was actually finished within two hours! Great job. Great response time. Repairman was polite and courteous. I would have no trouble calling them again.

The technician, Nate, arrived during scheduled time period. He was very courteous and professional. He was able to use built-in troubleshooting procedure to isolate the faulty part. He phoned the office to put the part on order and received good news; the part was available in stock. A follow up visit was arranged for the following day. As scheduled, Nate arrived on Saturday afternoon with the replacement part, installed it and quickly tested for complete repair. Our washer was 'up and running' within 48 hours of the failure. When Nate left, you would be unaware that a repair had taken place. The washer was returned to its original place, and totally operational.

I called Aviv to come out and fix a broken ice maker in a refrigerator. The first available appointment that was mutually convenient was several days away, and I arranged to be home when they said they would come (on a Friday afternoon between 12 noon and 3 pm). However, I had to be on a conference call at 4 pm. They confirmed the appointment the day before and the morning of and said that the repairman would call me 30 minutes before arrival. There was no word until 2:25 pm when the office alled to say that the repairman was going to be at least an hour late. I waited until 3:55 but no repairman or call from him, so at this point I was annoyed and called and cancelled so I could be on my call. This was very inconvenient as I had to take off of work to be home. I suspect that because it wasn't a very big job that it wasn't a priority for them. The office secretary did apologize, which was a plus.

Came promptly and did a thorough job on refrigerator. Found drain line plugged and cleaned it out. Cleaned all dust and debris from the coils. Checked compressor, fans etc and all were working well. Ice maker needs to be replaced but we are thinking about whether to do this job or not. We are weighing a cost of $300 on a 24 year old appliance. I would call AVIV again if I need large appliance repairs. Consider this an excellent experience.

Aviv came out a total of 3 times for the ice maker. The first time the repairman was new and made a tentative diagnosis, ordering the parts he believed we would need (we did not pay for parts at that point, only his service call). When the parts came in, a more experienced man came to install them and after examining the ice maker he told us he said we might not need anything more than a filter replacement, which we had already ordered but it hadn't arrived yet. He did not charge for that visit. After we put in the new filter ourselves, the ice maker still wasn't working, so we called Aviv back as they had requested, and they returned to install the other part he thought was the problem (the filter definitely needed to be replaced). It was only then that we paid for the second part and the labor to install it. We didn't need all the parts the first guy had mentioned, and never had to pay for them. With each visit they were punctual and professional. We were worried that they would have to pull the freezer out of the wall but they were able to repair everything from the bottom.

Went very well, no problems, except the refridgerator is a piece of junk. No more Fridge product for this family. Skippy Weil see above

They were great to work with and did a great job with the service performed. Their price was very reasonable and they provided a senior citizen discount. They were very prompt and efficient.

My washing machine was filling with water when not running, and my second refrigerator/freezer was not working properly, causing the food in the freezer to defrost. I was expecting family from out-of-town later that day, so I was concerned that I had limited time to effect the repairs. I called Aviv Service Today that morning. I was told that the technicians were in their weekly meeting at the time of my call, and that they would see what they could do to provide quick service. I soon received a call back with a two-hour window for arrival. I had described my issues and given appliance serial numbers in the first call, and they advised on this second phone call that they would have the parts they anticipated to need, so that I would not require a second visit. One half hour into the two hour window - just two hours after my first phone call - Aviv arrived at my door. They quickly identified the problems, verified that they had the correct parts in the truck, and replaced the defective parts. They were finished in less than an hour with repairs to both machines. They also took the time to review what soaps worked best in both washing machine and dishwasher, to maximize the machines' useful lives, and found and tightened up an appliance door that I had not noticed was loose. This is the third time I have called for service, all for different problems on different appliances. (I have two refrigerators & four freezers, in addition to the other normal appliances). Each time, Aviv has come when they said they would, always on the same day as called, and they have made repairs the first time. Only once did they have to order a part that they did not have. They had it shipped to my door, took the initiative to call me when they received notification of delivery, and came the next day to complete the repair. Aviv is not the least expensive appliance repair service out there, but in my experience, they are the best value. For the money, you receive prompt, reliable, and professional service, and you can rest comfortably knowing that their work is top notch. When I need appliance repairs, I don't look to anyone else. We are a food bank with a Sub Zero refrigerator/freezer that had been donated to us. It was not getting cold enough so I called AVIV for an estimate. They told us there was an $80 service charge. We agreed and they sent someone that afternoon. Two men showed up. They added refrigerant, cleaned the filter and fixed the bottom freezer drawer. They were there about an hour. The charge was the $80 service charge. We were very satisfied!!!

When I returned home following a business trip, I found everything in my refrigerator frozen. I needed to have it working quickly, as I was hosting a large party within two days. I called Aviv Service Today, as I had used them on multiple occasions previously and found them to be professional, timely and reliable with the repairs they made. A technician arrived at my house within 3 hours of my call and determined that the thermostat had gone bad. He explained the charges and warranties to me and was able to replace the thermostat at that time.
