Description of Work: Was referred to Brent Downing for selling our home and purchasing another home. Brent is very knowledgeable on what needed to be done prior to putting home on market to pricing competitively for sale. He also actively markets and advertises where other agents are not as aggressive. His hours are flexible and this was most appealing for my husband and me since we work full time jobs and it is hard to get off to meet or look at homes during regular work hours. We also did our own research and really liked how Brent has a great sales record and as far as working with him as a buyer, he is very understanding of what we are looking for in our new home and communicates quickly to phone calls and email. We have had to do some repairs to our home prior to putting on market and he has been with us along the way..always wanting to help in anyway,,we are still in process of getting home ready for market and are actively looking for new home to purchase.

 + -1 moreWe actually called Mr. Odell about one of the houses he was listing and he got back to us within the hour on a Sunday! We ended up not liking the initial house after all, but Randy was so helpful and informative that we decided we wanted to use him as our buyer's agent.We cannot give enough of a glowing review for Mr. Odell! Honestly I don't know when the man sleeps! He was so helpful and very responsive. He has a great knowledge of many of Columbia's surrounding areas! We just moved here from Georgia, so his knowledge was invaluable! Honestly we couldn't have found such a great place without his help. Mr. Odell always called us back in a timely manner. He always showed up for our appointments in a timely fashion and always had a smile on his face. He even showed up to our closing process when he was not feeling well and was still smiling! He showed us as many houses as we wanted to see without complaint. He pointed out all the great features in the homes and made us aware of any potential problems! He is very knowledgeable about good details and potential issues in houses. He genuinely cared about finding us a great home for a great price.And on top of being such a wonderful real estate agent, Randy is a genuinely nice guy and a very pleasant person to be around, which is a big deal when you're looking for a house because you have to spend time with this person who is showing you around houses and neighborhoods, and it's a bonus if they are a personable and friendly person. Having said that Mr. Odell was also very professional and down to earth. We are first time home buyers so sometimes we had difficulties understanding certain aspects of home buying, but Mr. Odell was able to break things down for us in an easy to understand manner!I would highly recommend Randy Odell (with Remax) to anyone who is looking to buy or sell a home! His relentless customer service and knowledge of real estate is why we will be returning to him in a couple of years when we decide to buy our big dream home! And it's why I will refuse to use anyone else but Mr. Odell for any of our real estate needs!
Description of Work: Randy Odell acted as our buyers agent. He found over 20 different houses for us to look at in our target areas. He performed a great many task that I am sure I could never name! He was also a wealth of information on buying a home. We are first time home buyers and honestly the entire process went very smoothly and was way less stressful due in HUGE part to Mr. Odell's knowledge and experience.
