I did not due my due diligence in researching this company because the owner was a ?personal friend? to my general contractor. The job was installation of 2 new tankless gas hot water heaters, plus 7 items on my misc list (of which one item got completed), which they estimated would take 1 ½ days to complete. The house is a total renovation and I had not moved in yet, but I spend a lot of time there working on the house myself. The job took over three weeks, during which time there was no hot water and heat. The city would not turn the gas back on until the work was inspected, and the work could not be inspected because this sub did not pull permits. No permits were pulled because the member let his business license lapse. After the work was completed, the owner renewed his license and pulled the permits, which was another delay. Then the work failed inspection twice for: ungrounded gas line outside; and gas line not protected and not buried deep enough. The gas company told me the initial installation was dangerous. The owner never came to the job site once. He did all his dealings over the phone and tried to manage the project in absentia. The one positive - Randy did answer or respond to phone calls in a timely fashion. A water supply line was cut to one of my outside spigots without their noticing. They went back and repaired it only after I insisted. Another water supply line was cut outside under their gas line install and I paid another plumber to repair that when water came bubbling up through the dirt. They accused me of ?holding them hostage? after I put a stop on a $2400 check. That was the first time in my life I ever put a stop on a check which I did because they were asking for payment when I still had no heat, no hot water, and the job had failed inspection. Plus, I had already paid them $5000 when I placed the stop on this second check. They left an open trench outside where the gas line was placed. The owner?s response to me when I asked them to fill it back in was for me to ?kick some dirt on it.? They filled it. They ripped apart an HVAC return duct under the house in the crawl space and left it open. I found the damage, they did not report it to me. They taped it back together. I still need a new duct. They snapped off one of my shrubs outside near one of the tankless heater installs, no apology, and no explanation. One of the inside control modules for the hot water heaters was mounted on the wall so that it falls off under light pressure. Same wall has to be repainted because of the fingerprints from the installation. I paid them in full after the gas company turned the gas back on and the work passed inspection. They roughed in three bathrooms and I am switching plumbers to finish the job. I don?t believe this company was overtly dishonest, but their lack of attention to detail created one of the most unpleasant experiences I?ve ever had with a sub contractor.

The Plumber (Billy Forrester) arrived exactly on time and wasted no time in getting to work. He was very competent and knowledgeable. He also didn't mind having my husband present and commented about the things he was doing. We were very happy with his work. He cleaned up and the kitchen was just as it was when he arrived. We will certainly call Quality Life Solutions for whatever plumbing needs we might have in the future.
Description of Work: Installed customer supplied Reverse Osmosis Unit; replaced customer supplied external refrigerator filter.
