The owner's name in Mike Huffstetler. He's our plumber. He came out on an emergency, I called him at 5:30 and he came at 6:00. I had a leak in my water heater, in one of the pipes. It wasn't a bad leak, but I noticed it when I saw it. I called him and he made a point to come out after hours, and he only charged me $120 for after hours.
Description of Work: He replaced two pipes so there would be no chance of a leak.

Description of Work: Mike Huffstetler replaced the water heater in our garage. Gave me no paperwork for the water heater, but I found instructions online . Problem is that he did not install to Code. Its a gas water heater and was not installed 18" off the ground (any water heater installer should know to do this). When my we contacted him, Mike said he'd be back to fix it. He didn't show up, gave us the run around on the phone and then stopped answering our calls.

We were remodeling two bathrooms (one was the master bathroom) and changing the layout of the plumbing. We needed the rough-in plumbing finished and after we installed the showers, tubs and sinks we would need the finish work done. We were also replacing the vanity tops in two other bathrooms and would need the finish plumbing done in these rooms also. Mr. Hufstetler came by and gave me an estimate to do the rough-in of $800 to $1,000. I told him that would be fine and he gave a date they would be here to do the work. After a couple of visits they had "finished the rough-in" except for the bathtub in the master bathroom. He said he would come by and finish that in a few days. I asked him if he wanted paid and he said that would be nice. I asked how much I owed him and he told me $700.00. I gave him the check and a couple of days later he came back when I wasn't home and my wife let them in to finish the bathtub. After he "finished" the bathtub he told her we owed another $300.00 which she gave him. That was $100 more than the top of the estimate and that was really OK with me. After a few weeks we had the granite tops and sinks installed by Stone Interiors and we needed a bath sink to use. I called Hufstetler Plumbing and they said they would try to get there that evening and get us a sink and would come the next day to finish. At this time I told him that the bathtub valves had been installed too low for the granite to fit and still have room for the handles and faucet to be installed. I had told them there would be a one inch granite surround around the tub. He didn't seem to like the news and a couple of hours later he called me and told me he had looked at his calendar and couldn't possibly get to my job for at least 3 weeks. He tried to give me a friends name that might be able to do it. I talked to Moen and got lots of help from them and installed everything else myself. Two other problems he left me with. They did not install the drain from the master bathroom shower or tub. I found this when I went under my house to check for leaks and I had run a little water in the shower to make sure the valves worked.
Description of Work: Change rough-in plumbing location in master bath for a showers, bathtub and two sinks. Change drain location for a shower in a second bath. Install new drains for showers and bathtub.
