Lowe's of Camden

The pricing was good but they ordered the wrong counter top and cut it wrong. They said the wrong counter top was what we had picked out and I showed them the sample which they confirmed was wrong. They ordered the correct counter top and it arrived two weeks later. They offered nothing for the hassle.

Lowes was great from answering all my questions about the different flooring to following up after the floor was installed. The subcontractor Floor MD out of Sumter installed the flooring. They were very punctual and professional. They came in and got right to work. It took them about 6 hours to put all the flooring down including the quarter round and thresh holds.

I wasn't real pleased with how they did the job. As far as local contractors are concerned, that’s the problem because there’s nobody there to be recommended. I liked my countertops but I did not like how they handled it because they did a misorder and landed up being delayed in putting the countertops. I ordered the countertops with them and they contracted out with a contractor to do the work. They came out to measure it and also installed it after the order came in. We just went to the store and I saw some countertops that I liked because Lowe's usually is pretty good about everything they do. We actually liked the guy that did the work, he was wonderful. He came out, measured it but my problem was that my countertops were lower than normal because someone had put a new floor in on top of the old floor. They installed it on top of the existing countertop which was great. The problem was that there was a special order because one of my countertops was extremely long. When Lowe's ordered it the manufacturer didn't understand or somebody made a mistake by not putting it as a special order. When they got ready to put the counters in he said it was wrong and it was not the measurements that he gave while ordering it. They called me back and wanted me to pay for the mistake. I had to end up negotiating and paying for part of that mistake. They were good about it but as far as we were concerned they should have been careful.

They are professional. They are prompt.

We called them and there was a little bit of a problem. We were supposed to do that when they came right back out the next day. So, they finished it and they did it right as well. That was the last little bit of work that they had done later in the day and it made a difference because of the sun. Once the sun hit it directly for so many hours, it was laid back like it was supposed to be. The price was kind of expensive, but it was through Lowe?s. They are definitely good and I would give them a big plus. They guarantee that their stuff is right or they will do it over. They also do something at the top or on the highest point of the roof where it lets the heat out that helps the shingles last longer. It actually seems to help the air conditioning system. The supervisor said that it wouldn?t be cutting on quite as often. So, that was good too. He said that they won?t put any old roofing and they won?t go under there. They would see exactly what everything looks like. If anything that needed repair, they would do it. However, there was nothing that needed repair. They will prepare to do all of that. Everything was very good and they got it all up. The house was built over 1800 square foot and the price they charged was about what they needed to do the roof. The price seemed like it was over $5000. They also gave us some kind of a promotion deal for the first 18 months with no interest. That was good too and they don?t do that all the time. Their responsiveness was pretty good. We don?t have any complaints. They have guaranteed the roof for 25 years. We wanted somebody that we wouldn?t have any problems with and we felt like they were the best. If need be, then we would use their services again.
