Don't hire this guy! We recently bought a home in Camden, SC. Jeffco had been contracted to demolish tile in a shower that was found upon inspection to be leaking badly, and install a new shower pan, tile and subfloor. Jeff showed up once in early September and said the shower pan the seller bought was too small, so he took the shower pan with him and said he was taking it back to Lowe's for credit and to order the right size. I had another appointment scheduled with Jeff, but he called and said his vehicle broke down and that he would be here in the afternoon. He never showed up or called. In mid October, I texted him insisting that the delay had been long enough and the work needed to be done. He got mad and said we didnt have a signed contract with him, and he would come pick up the tools he had left at our house. It was obvious that he had no intention of doing the work he had agreed to do, so I contacted my realtor and asked her if we could get another contractor. My realtor and the sellers' realtor talked to Jeff, reminding him of the agreement he made to do the repairs. He made up a ridiculous story that I had threatened him, he didn't feel safe around me, and would only come if my realtor was here as well. Then he set a date of October 28 to come start the work. On the morning of October 28, he called our realtor and told her his vehicle was broken down and would come in the afternoon. I told her I didn't believe he would show up, and of course he did not. The next day our realtor called him and asked him if he had any intention of doing this work and he said NO. In summary, Jeff wasted nearly two months of my time, forcing me to find a new contractor. Jeff is absolutely untrustworthy. He does not keep his word and has no respect for clients or the time they wait around for him to show up. I will never call him for the bathroom remodel I want to do, nor will I ever recommend him to anyone. He is the worst contractor I've ever encountered. If I could give him -5 stars, I would. Don’t bother with this guy at all!
Description of Work: A shower was leaking and needed the tile removed, subfloor replaced, and then re-tiled so plumber could fix the leak. We have now found a contractor.

Jeff was very helpful in the initial design and was easy to get a hold of with any questions. He fully explained the work and time frame to complete. He came on time every day and left the work space as clean as possible. He only charged for work completed so only when the work was finished did he received the final payment. He is going to complete our kitchen in the spring and i recommend him for anyone looking to upgrade their kitchen or bathroom.
Description of Work: First phase of our kitchen upgrade which included: removal of wall between kitchen and dining room and installing support beam installing new tile flooring

I was so impressed that the first thing Jeff and Mike did was to lay brown paper down over our hardwood floors so as not to scratch them. They covered both doorways of the kitchen with plastic to try and keep the dust and dirt contained. Every night before they left the area was either swept or vacuumed. Jeff gave us ideas as to how to do the backsplash. Which was nice as we weren't sure how we wanted to proceed with it. Every evening before leaving Jeff would ask us to take a look at the day's work and let him know if anything needed to be changed. First thing in the morning he'd ask for our update. It was a pleasure to work with someone who took care with our home and valued our input. We look forward to having Jeffco Construction back to do more work for us in the near future.
