Seamless. CB Smith Plumbing has always delivered the utmost service. Connie is thorough and attentive and extremely knowledgeable. The two plumbers who completed the work were also knowledgeable and had incredible customer service. Very personable. And they cleaned up behind themselves!
Description of Work: Rough in plumbing and final installation for a total kitchen remodel.

Connie is (still) great to talk to on the phone. Scheduled with me and serviceman arrived on time after contacting me in advance. Great service from a capable and pleasant pro. Repaired shower, that I had not been able to fix myself, in a jiffy. Noticed that sink was dripping as well and fixed that too. Quickly diagnosed the cause of the toilet problem, and repaired to better-than-new. Asked about the age of my house, whether I was having a problem with leaks around connections, which I had. He checked my water pressure and found that it was about 40 psi too much. Quick repair and pressure measured in normal range immediately. Now the hose bibs and the washer do not leak and I have had no more garden hose failures.
Description of Work: Dripping shower, leaky toilet, high water pressure

CB Smith recently replaced/updated our water supply lines and plumbing system within our basement. They were a pleasure to work with and completed the work for a reasonable price.

A previous repair had been done before I bought the home and it was determined the leak was in this area. The floor would have to be dug up again. He had no tools with him and was not prepared to start the work. He said he would go back to the shop, they would develop a game plan, and they would be in contact. I told him that I was going to have to shut off the water so I would appreciate a response asap. He said no problem. I waited the entire weekend and no one called. I waited until 11:00 Monday morning and still had not received a call so I called. The woman acted like she didn't even know who I was. She hem hawed around, saying she might be able to get to it the next day. I was not happy and expressed that to her but I WAS NOT rude. She never said a word about no one calling me and she never apologized. She just said she was busy and had other work. She said she hated to come out and bust up concrete and never find the leak. I told her that her plumber had already found the leak. But she said it could be anywhere under the floor. I told her that her employee had stuck his arm in the hole he had dug at the side of the garage, under the slab adjacent to the repair area, and got water along the line running there but she still insisted it could be anywhere. Then she said she would rather I called another company to have them come out with sonar equipment to locate the leak. That would cost me an additional $500 that I didn't have and I didn't think it was necessary. Since she didn't sound like she wanted to come out I called another company. They came out and dug up the floor, found the leak in that area, and repaired it. What made me mad is that CB Smith made me sit all weekend without running water, flushing the toilet with water I had saved in the bathtub, and bathing, washing dishes in water I had save in the sinks. It was not a lot of fun. She said later that she wasn't aware it was urgent. If that's true then there was a serious communication problem between her and her plumber. She offered no apologies and was firm in her belief that they did nothing wrong. And I was stuck with the $85 fee.
Description of Work: A plumber came out on a Friday and investigated a slab leak under the garage.

They were good. They were fast; they came out right away and got the work done the next day. The price was very reasonable.
Description of Work: We had a broken line and they came and replaced that line.

MR SMITH ARRIVED, LOOKED AT THE TOILET AND SAID I NEEDED A NEW ONE BECAUSE IT WOULD TAKE A LONG TIME TO REPLACE EACH ITEM IN THE TANK UNTIL THE PROBLEM CAN BE SOLVED. I ASKED IF THE REPLACEMENT OF THE TOILET WOULD BE COVERED UNDER THE HOME WARRANTY AND HE SAID YES. I GAVE HIM $50.00 AS AGREED UNDER THE HOME WARRANTY CONTRACT AND HE SAID HE WOULD CALL ME TO SET UP A DATE. THE NEXT DAY I RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM THE HOME WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE REPAIR WAS NOT COVERED. I CALLED THE HOME WARRANTY PEOPLE AND ASKED WHY. I WAS TOLD THAT MR SMITH REPORTED THE PROBLEM AS A CRACKED PORCELIN WHICH IS NOT COVERED. MR SMITH NEVER MENTIONED A CRACKED PORCELIN TO ME. TWO DAYS LATER I WENT TO HOME DEPOT AND TOLD THE ASSOCIATE WHAT MY PROBLEM WAS WITH THE FLUSHES. SHE TOLD ME TO REPLACE THE FLAPPER AND CLEAN THE SEAT THAT THE FLAPPER SITS ON. I BOUGHT THE PLAPPER FOR UNDER $ 4.00 AND CLEANED THE SEAT AND NOW THE TOILET IS WORKING FINE-PROBLEM FIXED AND THERE WAS NEVER A CRACK IN THE PORCELIN. I CALLED THE HOME WARRANTY PEOPLE AND TOLD THEM THAT I FIXED THE PROBLEM WITH THE ADVISE OF A HOME DEPOT EMPLOYEE FOR UNDER $4.00 AND I WOULD LIKE TO GET REIMBURSED MY $50.00. THE HOME WARRANTY SAID THEY WILL REIMBURSE ME AND I SHOULD NOT CONTACT MR SMITH. I ALSO FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB WHO WAS WONDERFUL IN THEIR RESPONSE AND FOLLOW UP. IT HAS BEEN 7 WEEKS AND I HAVE NOT BEEN REIMBURSED. AS ADVISED BY THE BBB IF I DID NOT RECEIVE THE REIMBURSEMENT AS MR SMITH AND THE HOME WARRANTY PROMISED I SHOULD GIVE THE BBB ANOTHER CALL WHICH I DID ON 2/2/13. STILL WAITING FOR THE $50.00 I
Description of Work: MR. SMITH CAME AS A CONTRACTOR FROM A HOME WARRANTY SERVICE TO FIX A TOILET THAT FLUSHES ON ITS OWN. THIS IS KNOWN AS GHOST FLUSHING. MR SMITH LOOKED AT THE TOILET ABOUT 3 MINUTES AND RECOMMENDED A NEW TOILET. IMPORTANT TO NOTE IS THAT THE TOILET IS ONLY 7 YEARS OLD.

First technician came and started random dig in yard to find pipe. Cut through irrigation wire and I made him stop. His superior came found leak quickly since could hear leak inside basement and understood where leak was occurring. Returned next day to repair. Recommended that I contact water company for refund of cost of lost water. That was great advice. Returned a few days later and "sort of" repaired irrigation wiring. Have used them for years and received good service and lady and son that run it are nice folks. This event was not their "finest hour" but repaired my problem without destroying my yard that some others I contacted had planned. (Note that "the others" did not get the job"). If you have a simple problem, Connie and crew are very friendly, responsive, and reasonably priced. The original C.B. Smith (no longer with company) actually plumbed my house when it was built and I have had minimal problems.
Description of Work: Leak in water supply pipe leading up to house, on outside. Pipe and leak needed to be located and repaired.

We have been happy with him. We bought the home that he worked on from him and that is how we got to know him. We had a need for the plumbing service and called his company and they told us when they would do it and gave an idea how much it would cost. They came out to do the work when they said they would and completed it a short amount of time and sent us the bill. They were professionals and did a good job.
Description of Work: We use Mike Smith Plumbing. The last time we used him was 6 months ago and he replaced a water heater in a home that we have, that we rent.
