MGB did a great job--they arrived on time and were incredibly professional.I would highly recommend them and would use them again. A joy to work with and a delightful change from my usual experiences.

David and his crew came early in the morning and worked till dark. They were very through and pleasant workers. I highly recommend them for roofing. The company has a heart and will keep you well informed.

Arrived on time. Climbed up on the roof and looked around for problems. He filled in a few areas that "could" have caused a leak in the future. I received a print out of potential problems with an estimate cost to fix them. I will use them again.

It turned out okay. It was a couple of months after I purchased the deal that they came out. There were no additional charges beyond the big deal amount.

I'm sorry it took so long to rate the work done by the contractor, but due to the nature of the repair (roof), I had to wait until we had a good rain storm to determine if it was a success or not. I am happy to report that after a continuing heavy rain the ceilling of my living room is bone dry. I would highly recommend this contractor for any future work. Mr. Strother arrived at the appointed time and inspected the roof looking for the leak I had reported. He was unable to find it. This did not surprise me as a previous contractor as well as myself was unable to detect it also. Mr. Strother immediately offered to return my money that I had sent to Angie's. However this was not going to solve my problem. I asked him if he had any other suggestions that might solve the situation. He stated he could re-shingle the quarter section of the rear roof where the leak was located to which I agreed. He and his crew arrived at the scheduled time and the section was re-shingled. Debris was cleaned up and within half a day the job was completed. Mr Strother even went the extra step and removed the ceiling stain inside the house. This being a cathedral ceiling, it was no easy job to get to.

He pointed out possible reasons for the leaks. He caulked some cracks in my soffits where water was coming into the house. Told me if it continued to leak, give him a call. Very personable guy.

My roof has been leaking in 2-3 locations during the past year. I called MGB construction to schedule an inspection. Susan, quickly returned my call and scheduled an inspection. David (the owner) came to the house and inspected my roof, confirmed it needed replacement, and sent me an estimate. After discussing the cost we came to an agreement and I selected the shingle brand and color. The crew arrived promptly at 7:30 the day the job was scheduled and worked until dusk which was about 7:30 pm. The roof was completed the following afternoon and the finish work and gutters were completed on the third morning. I was impressed with the professionalism of the crew and the owner David was on site during the entire job. I am very pleased with the result, and MGB went above and beyond my expectations by replacing 3 gutters at no additional cost, and thoroughly cleaning up all the debris following the roof replacement. I would highly recommend MGB construction for roofing replacement or repair.

The contractor had to postpone the job three times due to rain. When the weather was clean he arrived on time and performed the work.

They set up appointment, came out and did the job. Super nice folks and were helpful setting up additional services.

Great experience with a family-owned business. Fair price that matched their estimate. Came when they said they would and finished on time. Cleaned up after the completion of the job. Would definitely use again or refer.

We had a little rough start trying to get an appointment, but when the contractor came he was very professional and I hope did a good job. Time will tell. I did like him.

Overall, very well. When they arrived, it was pouring rain and they still carried out their task, despite the weather. They were very professional and polite. They advised me that my concern regarding the flashing/shingle interface appearing damaged was instead an effect from the initial application of the flashing and the roof shingles not being applied in true 90 degree angles. They found no concerns other than cracked roof vents which they sealed, as part of the service.

When I placed the order I was a little unsure, but I had read the reviews sent in on the company and felt secure enough to give them a try. It took a week to get the final date for the visit due to terrible weather and large number of jobs created by this bad weather, but got the visit scheduled. They gave me a couple hour window (instead of the 1/2 day or day of other services) and were there right on time at the beginning of the window time. Loved it. They were very professional and gave me all the information I needed about my roof and did the repairs right at that time. I would recommend them to a friend, and in fact I did. While they were here a friend called and asked if I knew a roofer and I told him that it just so happens that I have one on my roof right now. I called him back after the roofers were finished and told him that I would recommend them. Thanks Mike

All work was completed in a satisfactory manner. We would not hesitate to use David's company in the future for our roofing needs.

The men who came out were very timely and inspected the roof thoroughly. I was impressed by their professionalism and review of the condition of my roof.

When he finally got out here, it was great. We've had so much rain in the area that he had to reschedule several times. After the maintenance we actually had a small area of rotten wood in the roofing that needed to be replaced and he gave us a very reasonable deal on it. He gave us $100 off on it since we've already purchased the Angies List deal. It was $170 to replace 30 shingles, and he replaced some rotten wood. He was very good to work with. They were willing to work around our schedule. He came out on a Saturday morning so that we didn't have to take off from work. Every time that he was up on the roof, for both the initial one and the second deal we purchased, he took pictures of exactly what was wrong and he showed us what he was replacing. So that was really good. He was not to blame for the weather and that was the only issue.

I took advantage of this company's special deal to have my roof inspected. I had had a leak in the past and wasn't sure how well a family member had made the repair. Susan contacted me quickly and set a convenient time for me. She called me that day to let me know exactly when her husband would be here. He and his team quickly assessed my roof and replaced one flange that was compromised as part of the package. He also said that the repair made to fix my roof was fine, although he reinforced it just to be sure. They blew the straw off my roof and looked at an issue I was concerned about with water falling on a door on my deck. He said I could do a partial gutter installation at a low cost until I could afford gutters for the entire house, and I am waiting for an estimate on that recommendation. I felt that his company was very reputable and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

The service was wonderful, they were on time, the guy who i worked with was knowledgeable, and they got the problem fixed. It was good. I have already recommended them to a friend of mine. David came and he was just top notch, and he inspected the whole roof, and they found a leak and they were able to fix it on the spot. He just seems to care about the service that he was given.

Our decision in choosing MBG Construction Company is a choice we are very proud and pleased to share with everyone. We have had six big projects planned for 2013 in our upgrading and updating the interior and exterior of our home. Changing from the 3 tab light brown (composition-small) shingles to the gray/black architectural longer shingles is one of the big exterior projects. I would like to let other homeowners know that we had lengthy conversations and estimates done with five different companies; three of which are very reputable and well known Roofing and Siding companies, (Sears, etc.), and most of these representatives were SALESMEN and probably earned a good bit on commission! WHEW, listening to them and the tangled web of their conversations wore me out! A month or so later, while on Angles list, I typed in roofing and along with these same said companies was MBG Construction with a coupon offer of thousands off on roofing expiring soon. Well of course I gave them a call. The experience over the phone calls with Mrs. Susan, and visits with the owner was very pleasant; and we went ahead and set up projected date to have the roofing repairs with the architectural shingles done after week of July 4th. 2nd week of July in hot and humid South Carolina, year 2013, where we are having recording breaking rainfall and storms. MBG kept a close eye on the forecast and as soon as they saw it possible, called and said they were on the way! MBG Construction and their group of guys arrived just as planned; this crew of guys went to work right away. All 12 men were polite and very professional the entire time they were here. These guys were impressive. All were working together, like a well-trained team of powerful, skilled, and talented craftsmen. WOW, what a difference! We love it! The look is outstanding. Our home looks so much neater with the architectural shingles and change in color. I can even tell a difference on the inside of our home, and probably will on our electrical bill as less air conditioning is necessary. It has been very hot and humid here, and we have experienced record breaking rain and water. Yet inside our home, even in our walk-in attic, the air actually feels lighter. Our home is located directly on Barnwell's beautiful golf course, fairway #8, and during this time we had a golf tournament going on. Several golf teams commented on the professionalism MBG Construction and their crew showed during their golfing. The compliments we continue to receive from many golfers and neighbors are awesome! MBG Construction did an excellent job. The quality of their work is outstanding! MBG = experts! Our yard, shrubs, flowers, watering system, driveway, everywhere spotless. We walked around trying to find any nails or debris left behind. MBG Construction left our yards and driveway in same or better condition when they got here. Our County Assessor and Inspector office with all, great rapport. I continue to tell my friends (and others that are curious how our home looks now), that it's their loss if they don't come and see for themselves. MBG Construction=HAPPINESS!

The provider gave me a written estimate of the cost for replacing the roof. Susan was just excellent about keeping in touch in regard to the date of scheduling. She was very prompt and professional. Others could take lessons from her. I would have liked to have more information about what exactly was done on the roof. That's somewhat my own fault because I could have asked for much more detail than I did. MGB Construction seems to be very professional.

I found the prices to be rather high.

The contractor walked me through the processof what they would do. They worked with my insurance company to keep the process rolling. They showed up when they said they would and finished ahead of schedule while contending with the rain. Half way into a pallet of shingles they discovered a manufacturing defect, and had new shingle delivered. They did a good job cleaning up behind themselves. I only found a few nails where the dumpster was sitting, that was because they could not get to them until the dumpster was removed. The dumster was contracted using another company and not removed until a few days later. This was a big help. I was doing some minor renovation and was able to utilize the dumster for my renovation waste as well. Great company!!! I will use the again on another roof.

Purchased the Big Deal over the weekend and received a call to schedule the visit the following Monday. All work was completed as promised.

Well, what can I say - I can't be happier that I selected MBG to do this roofing job. They were very professional in communicating with me during every step from the initial estimate to the very last piece of shingle. My roof was in really bad shape and it had to be entirely replaced. They took the time to explain everything that needed to me done, what type of material they were using and how long it would take which we initially thought it might take 4 days. David wasted no time in getting there early in the morning with his crew and got to work ripping out everything down to the rafters. They were very efficient and organized. Day two started the same with the crew bright and early working very hard to get the job completed. By the end of the day (7:00 PM) they had pretty much completed the job. Day three was mainly final touches and cleanup. They did an excellent job of cleaning up even making sure no nails were in my driveway so I wouldn't get a flat tire!! Now that's service!!

We had an occasional but persistant leak in our roof right over our laundry room. My husband tried resealing a vent boot a couple of times and searched around for other possible causes but no luck. It didn't leak every time it rained, just sometimes which made it very difficult to determine exactly where it was coming from. We had several roofers come out to inspect the roof and give us estimates. They all seemed fair, but David's estimate included several repairs since it wasn't possible to determine the exact cause. He laid a weather shield in the valley above the area, replaced/repaired a couple of vent boots, replaced a small area of plywood and shingles around one vent, re-caulked around boots and chimney and inspected the entire roof, Final result, no more leak. Very happy with the experience. David was very professional. He and his crew arrived on time to do the repairs. He's easy to contact and explains everything the job covers well and answered all our questions. I'll contact him for future roof work and I'm happy to have a roofer I feel I can trust to get the job done at a fiar and reasonalbe price.
