SUNSHINE NURSERY LANDSCAPE

I had difficulty getting landscape plans and follow-ups from Sunshine for permits on new house construction. My builder encouraged me to give them another chance, Frank, the owner, had told me that if I had any more problems, just call him directly. I probably had 15 different subs working at my house ranging from excellent to average to just OK. Sunshine was clearly terrible from start to finish (except the job isn't finished). Rude employees, poor workmanship, repeated no-shows, constant scheduling problems, missed deadlines, unmet promises, clueless managers, and missing spades and shovels (mine) were the norm. Despite all this, I hoped to get through it all but after six unreturned messages to Frank and his Service Mgr. for a broken underground line and two sprinkler heads that blew out, I'm moving on. A new company starts Monday with irrigation repairs and maintenance. Totally embarrassing!

.-Purchased water fountain; was told within next two days it would be delivered or I would be contacted for delivery (meanwhile I had to pay in full for the fountain and $95 delivery) -NO CALL; 3rd day, I initiate call and said NO WAY was I told that information; I was placed on hold for ten minutes, they could not find my invoice; ????; after locating the invoice they asked if Friday would be ok. Six days after purchase, I said OK what time. I was told someone would call Thursday night to schedule the time. -NO CALL; Friday morning; I initiate call to Sunshine to cancel the order. Sunshine stated they never said they were going to call, they have on their paperwork I was not going to be home anyway (which never came out of my mouth). They were on their way to deliver it as we were speaking. I stated NO. I had enough of their double talk, I don't want the fountain, I want my money back and all of it. A full refund. Now I must speak with JOE (whoever this is) because typically they only give store credit. NOW I AM GETTING HOTTER. Well isn't this nice. They make the error's and you still have to deal with them. I will not deal with them. Awful customer service. - I do believe they will treat this morally right and do the right thing and refund in full, afterall it was their error. I was one customer that somehow got lost in the shuffle. Their showroom and plants are the lovely, can't be beat. I am saddened by all of this. But I deal with customer service issues daily and have never had this type of misinterpretation in one week from one company ever. Next time I will pay cash for a plant and leave.

The work went well and the jobs were completed on time and actually earlier than anticipated. The cost was reasonable, given the quality of the work. The plants and shrubs have all survived 6 months since planting. The St. Augustine grass has not done so well but there is too much shade in the back to allow any grass to flourish. We were generally happy with the initial recommendations and the final execution. Michael is the designer, who follows the work through to its completion and is very professional.
