Specialty Stone

I had purchased 2 boxes of tiles from an out of town supplier for the back splash and contacted Mike Chambers to do the install. I explained that the tiles were a combination of glass, metal, and ceramic. Mike arrived for the install and spent a couple hours layng out the pattern. He cut a few pieces and saw that the tiles were a poor quality and would not make a high quality install. He suggested I return the tiles to the supplier and he gave me a few suggestions of local suppliers that may have a like product.Mike did not charge me for his time. I was shocked The supplier admitted they did have a quality issue with the product I bought.and gave me a full refund. I purchased a like product from one of Mikes suppliers and had Mike install it. It came out great and is now a real focal point of our kitchen.

Mike's expertise, persistence and professionalism overcame the challenges we had with an initial order of defective backsplash material. He truly had our best interests at heart and went to bat for us with the material supplier. Ultimately we were able to get a refund and order replacement backsplash stone. Mike adjusted his calendar and made it happen for us. Mike charges $50.00 per hour labor and he is worth every penny. Material ordering, costing and shipping are done through the company of your choice. Mike works with the material provider to coordinate delivery, pick up and inspection (acceptance or rejection). Bottom line, our kitchen looks better than expected, we could not be happier. Nice work Mike!

Mike called as soon as his schedule permitted - I did not have to call him again to remind him. Since I had the stone tile, he measured and installed it - sealing the parts of the wall that had been damaged by the removal of laminate. Then he helped me select a grout color. He installed the grout and sealed and polished the stone. The procedure took only 6 hours but required three trips to complete so that everything dried between applications. The job looks fabulous.
