I do not believe that anything that Scott Crenshaw of Genarus Senior Solutions or his installer Wade Weeks has told me has turned out to be true . Crenshaw told me there would be no additional charges beyond the $9,500 price ($7,500 for the tub and $2,000 for the installation). Crenshaw then only included one door to be moved as part of the installation agreement and installer said it would cost another $800 to cover the other 2 doors. I called Crenshaw to resolve this but calls were not returned. Installer said he would do the 2 extra doors for no cost if I bought a fancy $800 high speed drain, which was simply a 8 foot section of 6 inch pvc pipe. Installer spent 4 days trying to sell me extra services rather than installing the tub.Installer used a sawzall to cut hole in flooring for drainpipe and in doing so cut a crescent shaped hole around 9 inches long and 6 inches deep in the 2X9's floor joists directly under the tub, turning the 2x9 floor joists into 2x3's, directly under the tub. I sent both Crenshaw and Weeks a detailed account of the damage done to my house and copies of receipts for $2,266. Weeks sent me one check for $200 in July and has lied about other checks he would sent me soon. Crenshaw has assured me(in May), promised me(in early June) , and absolutely promised me(in late June) I would get my money soon. Weeks has promised to pay it right away (in April), to pay $375 a month for 6 months (in May), to pay $200 per tub installation and to send three checks before mid July (in June) and to send a check for $200 right after the first of September (in August). When I complained to the manufacturer of the tub for the 4th time (Original walk In Tub Company has still not responded to me ) , Wade Weeks called me on August 29th around 130 in the afternoon and said if I complained again about not getting my money that he would drive to my house and take care of me man to man and that when he got through with me I would not be complaining to anyone after that. I have reported this threat to local law enforcement . They will deal with him if he even approaches my property or me.
Description of Work: Scott Crenshaw/Genarus Senior Solutions sold me a walk in tub. He told me that he and his installer were both licensed in Georgia and were both insured. Neither was licensed in Ga (whereI live) and the installer Wade Weeks has no insurance. Installer stood me up for 4 days before he ever showed up and then It took 4 days to install the tub since installer never showed up before 1030 am, was gone for 90 minutes in the middle of the day every day and left before 330 on every day but the last day. Installation was at best "incredibly inept" as installer broke my toliet, knocked hole in wall, made 6 inch cuts in 2 x 9 floor joists failed to connect water hoses correctly leading to signficant damage to flooring, left an 18 inch circular hole cut in the floor which he did not close up, left a hole in a closet wall which he did not seal back up, did not properly connect air compressor hose to airjets causing it to malfunction third time I used it, and charged me $400 for reinforcement of flooring which he did not do (he did crawl under the house and bang his hammer agsinst the floor joists in an elaborate charade), installed 6 pieces of tile and 2 came off the wall. The plumbing that was done does not meet the requirements of Georgia plumbing code. Installer gave me a business card with his picture and phone # and name of company he said he owned (card was false and he has neven even worked for the company, much less owned it) I spent around $2,000 to repair damage and installer Wade Weeks told me in April he would repay me right away and Scott Crenshaw told me he would make sure that Wade paid me. In 6 months I have received one check for $200 (in July). I sent them both copies of all my receipts. If I had not had floor reinforced and repaired (by a different contractor) tub would eventually have fallen through the floor.

I must admit, I've been cheated by pros twice in my life. Once in Hong Kong by an aquaintance for the grand total of $25.00, and that was in the '60's. I still remember him 50 years later. This was the second time a shyster actually walked me around the BS bush, and I bought it. I'm embarrassed, and out almost 10 grand for a $3000 job. Shame on me THIS TIME!
Description of Work: Crenshaw (dba: GENARUS Senior Solutions) is a rep for a "Walk-In Tub" distributor in NC. He seems to thrive on passing off cheap crap as top of the line. He will tell you exactly what you want to hear as if he had been watching you do research on the "Walk-Ins". His price is WAY too expensive, but he actually snowed me with all the extras it came with; NOT!!!, and that it was made in America. Truth is, it's a cheap knock off from China (like all the others we saw), and it is only assembled and packaged in NC. (Maybe) It arrives by common carrier the day before installation with warnings not to open crate before insallation date. When the semi-professional plumbers (subs of Crenshaw of course) arrived, they were very fast at removing the tub and getting it installed. Extra charge for tile around tub (my choice), and charged me for a pump under the tub to speed the drain of 80 gallons of water so one can open the door and exit the tub. I was in a wheelchair, so couldn't check the installation of the pump. They charged me for it, but the installation was in fact just a flex pipe that came with the cheap tub. No pump, and it took 35 minutes to drain the tub because of the poor system they installed. Of course it's hidden from view (from the wheelchair), so unless you get down with a mirror on an extension rod and look at it. Nothing there, and the wanna be plumbers are already gone with the money for the pump and the installation. I purchased an excellent pump for approx. $100, and my plumber (a real plumber too) installed it and now the tub empties in less than 5 minutes! These guys prey on the older folks. Avoid them at every juncture.
