Description of Work: We had a problem with our water main on Sunday night, with water backing up into the house. I called several plumbers first thing Monday morning, and none were available. One recommended Collins Septic Tank Services, even though we aren't on a septic system, and within 5 minutes of my call to them, they were pulling up in front of our house. Two guys spent four hours digging up our water main and replacing a section of pipe that had been crushed by the roots of a tree, and they were polite, friendly and informative, explaining that we might need to think about removing the tree in our yard because its roots would only continue to damage our water pipes and showing me exactly where and what the problem was. My only concern was that they didn't give me an estimate beforehand and simply said they'd bill me, but their rates turned out to be so affordable and beyond reasonable that I shouldn't have worried. I would definitely use them again!

Description of Work: Septic tank was causing backup to first floor bathroom. Collins promptly responded to a late Saturday afternoon call and was out to the house and corrected the problem in less than 2 hours. We are out of state owners of this property and following completion of the job, Collins called us back to advise that the work had successfully been completed. He was also very helpful in giving us practical advice in how frequently to have the septic tank pumped and what to do in the interim to help insure the fermentation and breakdown of waste continues during the years between having the tank pumped. The occupants of the property confirmed that all went well and the problem was resolved.
