Carolina Clean

I had my house power washed on June 14.2013 by Carolina-Clean. After seeing the good reviews here on Angie?s List, I hired them over the phone without getting a bid (my bad). They did a good job except for a few places where there were streaks on the siding. I called them back and they corrected the problems. My issue was the cost - for a 1,500 sq ft house and a one-car garage I was charged 325. The driveway which is 19ft long was $125 of that cost. If I had done the driveway myself, it would have taken me about 10 minutes. That's a fine rate they get. New to the area and having never even seen plastic siding, the process and its cost was something I knew nothing about. The total was $495! (This included cleaning windows inside and out) And I?m supposed to do this twice a year?! As it happened, a few months later a neighbor across the street was having her house washed by another company. I asked the company owner what he was charging - $150 for the house, garage, driveway and the sidewalk in front of the house! Then I began asking around to other neighbors - I heard various prices - $90 on the low end and up to the $150 I had been quoted. I emailed Justin Alvarez, the owner asking him to explain the high price. Never heard back from him. Gouging?? I think so.

They did an excellent job and even cleaned my rugs. They were quick and cover my umbrellas so they would not get damaged. The rugs looked beautiful when they were done. I would hire them again.

Moved here in June & the house was move in condition, but the outside definitely needed a cleaning. Justin came yesterday, we set up that the gutters would be cleaned, driveway & patio then power wash the house. Could not be happier with the job they did. The employee that did the work was top notch.

We have a two story clapboard home. it is 100 years old and is quite drafty and therefore leaky. i worried that with pressure washing the water would get inside, but he said he could do a soft wash which would be less damaging. Great job! the home is no longer covered in mildew and mold. they moved the plants that i had forgotten to, and nothing was damaged by the bleach or soap. he cleaned up afterwards. He even repaired a board that he loosened on the gate, which to be fair was probably loose before he used it. But he repaired it anyway. This is the second time i have used Carolina Clean and i would definitely use them again.

Carolina Clean is very good at what they do. They were prompt, professional, and capable. We will definitely call on their services when we need our house washed again.

Purchased a home and needed services while we were contending with the home preparedness and move details, etc. Overall washing all driveway, walkway, and patio / hardscape surfaces and soft washing the stucco home exterior, blowing pine straw and debris off of the roof, followed by total interior and exterior window washing. Very pleasant and punctual owner and crew member. Careful service although they did puncture an architectural stucco/substrate foam feature with their ladder while washing windows on day two. Despite this one minor incident (hence the good quality versus excellent rating), I would highly recommend them and use them again. Not the low end bidder, but we were pleased with the overall results, attention to detail, punctuality, and follow through by them.

They did a pretty good job. I have a really big driveway and they were unable to remove rusting that was in the concrete but they did treat it with oxalic acid mix. The part that they cleaned looks good. They had trouble getting acorn stains off the driveway but I have a solution that does it. So they were very good, they went out, they bought it, they removed all of the acorn stains, and the driveway looked really good. The owner, Justin was very amenable and he did a good job. He gave us an estimate for doing the roof and the house. We paid a lot less with another company last year for the same type of job. I thought that this company would get the stains out but they could not. I guess I would use them again; I might get estimates from other companies because I knew that if they had used a stronger oxalic acid it would have taken some of the tough stains off; I am going to try that myself. I had an appointment and I had to wait all morning because they were tied up on another job and he didn’t call me, I had to call him. The next day when we set it up for 9 am, he was right there on the button, so he made up for the day before with his punctuality.

He was detailed and methodical in his duties, . Was very impressed with his attention-to-detail. My home looks brand new! I will hire again and pass the word around the neighborhood.

They owner calls to remind you of the appointment, and to water your plants, if pressure washing is being done to your home. They arrive on time and ready to work. They do not goof off, nor waste tiime on cell phone as other companies do. They are excellent in carrying out their services and will stay at your home as long as needed to do the job correctly. They ARE NOT in a rush to go to another appointment, and leave your home, half done. They inspect all work done and have homeowner inspect work done, before leaving or packing up to go. These guys are at the top of their profession!!
