From the first week his staff came out, they were friendly, and explained what they were going to do. Since it was the late fall, they told me they would start to take down the heights of the shrubs slowly since they wanted them to still look good, but would get more aggressive in the spring to get them down to the heights they are supposed to be. Note that some of the Asise shrubs were nearly to the roof's soffits. They have been pruning the shrubs back slowly and they are looking much better. Last week, they came out to tear out the old dead sod and replace it with new sod, They had a large crew out here to get it done... The company they contracted for the sod shorted them three pallets so they had to go and get three more the next day to complete. They adjusted the sprinkler system to keep it moist so that the sod could set roots in the existing ground. They asked me to let them know if there were any areas that didnt' appear to be getting enough water, and we did see one area and called him on Sunday and left a message, He called me right back and said he would be out the next morning. He was here at 7:30AM with one of his guys and they moved one of the sprinkler heads to cover the area that wasn't getting enough water, and readusted a couple. We could not be happier with the treatment that Roger and his team have given our lawn since last late fall.
Description of Work: Needed new lawn maintenance company and back yard resodded since previous lawn maintenance company did nothing but mow (and charged me an extra $40/month for chemicals and weed killer that they appear never to have applied). Most of the back yard lawn died due to pervasive weeds and fungus. Roger and Suzy came out and gave us a bid for both lawn maintenance and resodding. Our shrubs were completely overgrown in the front and on the sides from previous group doing nothing but sheering the tops

I used them in between June and July. Each was an individual task I paid for separately. The father lines up the work and the sons come and perform the task.
Description of Work: They did lawn and yard work/lawn irrigation service. They cut the lawn at two properties. They also charged separate for by the hour for irrigation stuff.

Roger Jarosz of Blufftons Best Lawn Care was hired to install a new level, Palmetto St. Augustine lawn (his suggestion) in the front and sides. He stated it was a carefree grass, requiring little maintenance. (We have since found out that is not true.) He guaranteed it for one year. He was very charming and paid in advance. We trusted him. The site was not prepared properly and left a mess for quite some time. He was contacted but it was some time later when he arrived to install The sod. It was of very poor quality, installed (November) after promised date and on a very windy, cold day in November, and not treated. Roger, his son, and a friend of his son's installed the lawn. They brought the sod with them. It developed a fungus within a month. It was not treated. We had fungus in the last lawn and asked if it should be treated. He said if it developed a fungus, he would treat it. Roger stated he was a full service lawn care service and took care of anything and everything including treatments. He was contracted to maintain the new lawn, the gorgeous back yard, and beautiful shrubs.WE complained to Roger that the yard was not prepared and the sod not at all level. He responded that he did not say the lawn would be level. He said to wait until spring. We waited and in the spring the lawn was a disaster with fungus, unlevel, and weeds everywhere. No pre-emergent was applied in the fall or winter. Poa Annua grass was every where, including the establish back lawn. It was not treated until after the second week in March, when we spoke with his son, who was maintaining the lawn and shrubs. pulled thousands and thousands of weeds. We emailed the owner in a nice manner and got a bullying response when horticulture oil was sprayed all over the house. His son sprayed the oil when it was almost 80 and had not trimmed the shrubs. We had to wash it off. The property was very poorly maintained. We spoke to his son on April 7th regarding the poor quality of the sod, disease, weeds and how unlevel it was. He left doing no work that day and said to contact his father. We emailed Roger and sated we would like to meet with him and to let us know a good time. He promptly emailed back and said the contract was terminated immediately. The next day we sent him a detailed letter and stated that since he chose to not meet with us and abandoned us, we expected a full refund of all monies paid to him, totaling $4,130. He sent a check for $140.00, the amount he was paid for April. Of note is the fact that Roger never came back to the property after installing the sod.
Description of Work: Hired to install new sod and maintain it and property, apply all applications to lawn and shrubs.
