I can't say enough about the quality and professionalism of AWR. Each professional scheduled arrived on time and gave us an accurate estimate as to how long each appt would take. The two young installers (Carlos and Patrick) were two of the nicest, most respectful workmen we have ever worked with and they each worked their craft METICULOUSLY. The quality of the AWR solid wood cabinet doors and facings is terrific. They were able to swap some doors for pull out drawers and took the time to reconfigure a heat vent cover to tidy up the look. If your cabinet boxes are in good shape, you can save a lot of money by refacing instead of replacing!

Professional and high quality workmanship. About a year after installation we noticed one of the white cabinet doors had developed a crack. True to their claim they replaced it within a few weeks at no charge. Excellent company.

Excellent quality and results. Had all cabinet surfaces refaced with new doors, drawer bins and molding/trim. Added a new cabinet with three drawers and converted all lower cabinets to full drawers providing much easier access and a lot of extra storage. The job was scheduled timely and completed in 1 1/2 days. Joe and Mike are highly skilled pros that take pride in their work and leave everything all cleaned up. Couldn't be happier! The entire team was wonderful. Tim was the salesman and he was very detailed and honest with the estimate. Jim came and measured to ensure all doors, drawers and updates were to be made were exact fits, due to summer travel and commitments the install was not scheduled by us until the middle of October. The young men, Carlos and Patrick were exceptional. They were professional and very polite. They were trustworthy as I was working from home upstairs the 2 full days they were removing all the old doors and drawers and installing the new doors, drawers and exterior of the cabinets. Carlos and Patrick came back the morning of the 3rd day to install the new knobs/ pulls and adjust the soft close for all the cabinets and drawers. I was very comfortable and even ran an errand or two while they were here. I could not have asked for a nicer crew or experience. I would highly recommend this company for anyone that is looking to refurbish a kitchen or bathroom. We will be using them again for the update of the bathrooms.

We love our new kitchen! We kept the original boxes but upgraded with refacing, countertops, appliances, etc. I wish that we had done this years ago but we might have missed the coupon in the ValPak! I cannot stress how beautiful our kitchen is and how beautiful our cabinets are. The young men that installed them are true craftsmen. Everyone we worked with thru American Wood Reface was quite professional. The countertop folks and tile installer that they recommended also did a great job. My husband and I sound very corny as we tell each other daily what we like in our kitchen. Going from a 1964 kitchen to a 2016 space in a matter of days was incredible!! I would recommend this business over and over again. They are providing a superior product!

The job was done by a crew that was the most professional people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. The cabinets are beautiful and the kitchen was left in immaculate condition with nothing to clean after they left. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Exceptional quality and workmanship. They were here for two days and transformed my kitchen cabinets into something out of a home design magazine. The day after the work was done, I received a call stating that they weren't happy with the stain on one of the doors, and that a new one would be built, stained and shipped. When they were here to install the new door, they also took care of a few minor issues. That to me is customer service. I would highly recommend American Wood Reface.

Everything went very smooth. They covered all carped and flooring. All counter tops and range so as not to get grit into it. They did not leave any mess. Jim the installer was great. We had one cabinet we had raised so the refrigerator would fit under it and of course it was not even with the other cabinets so Jim rebuilt. Some of the cabinets we replaced with pan drawers, which are worth every penny. Anyway they had shelf sliders in them. Jim took those and put into the bottom of some existing cabinets to make it easier for me to get to things I could not reach easily. As far as I am concerned they did more than expected of them. They made the suggestions for the changes I did not ask. Yes it was an expense but I could not have replaced my cabinets without loosing my granite counter tops..My kitchen was dark and we considered painting the existing cabinets--I am really glad we did not.

From the minute we meet the representative, Jim, we knew we were in good hands. He made some suggestions which continue to work great for us. When the crew arrived for install, they told us exactly what was going to happen and when. They worked together well and were amazingly efficient. They were respectful of our home and worked hard to contain the dust and construction site area debris. AWR...helped us with our counte rtop choice. We thought one thing, but when shown all the options, we went with another choice and could not be happier!! That crew worked above and beyond to make sure we were happy with EVERY little detail. When all work was done, we were in awe. Our old outdated kitchen looks brand new without the cost. The materials are excellent, the customer service couldn't be better. We recommended them to a family member and she is also pleased with her kitchen and bathroom redo.

Job went well. We were not home, but the job was well done. We were disappointed in the poor clean-up. We did not expect the amount of dust and sawdust (and tools) that were left behind. We would recommend them for their quality, but you need to know that the 10% Angie's List coupon is not real. It appears to work only if you mention it in your first meeting. We brought it up after the initial quote and were told that even though it was not mentioned or listed, "It was already included in the quote". It seems you get the same price, coupon or not.

We had an in-home analysis and quote with no sales pressure. Price was a bit better than two previous quotes and we were comfortable from initial meeting that they knew what they were doing. They are obviously busy as it took several weeks to get on their schedule, but worth the wait. The installation guys were excellent - very polite, professional and extremely hard working. They wasted no time, but took time to make sure everything was to our liking. The actually did several "extras" for us with no extra charges. The process is loud at times, but they kept everything clean and dust free. The end result was even better than my wife or I expected. We are pleased to extend a very high recommendation for these folks.

After interviewing 3 companies advertising quality kitchen cabinet refacing in the Hilton Head, SC area, we met with Bruce Zaidman, owner of American Wood Refacing based in Bluffton, SC. Bruce came to our home with samples of door designs and explained how his company differed from others offering similar services. After 30 minutes, we were convinced that Bruce and his company produced the highest quality replacement solid wooden doors and installation techniques. The solid wood doors and surface materials are manufactured in Ohio by an Amish company dedicated to excellence. Bruce explained that all of the resurface materials were made of solid wood and not thin plastic laminate. We were sold! Joe,Bruce's local craftsman who installed the kitchen was professional, a perfectionist and a gentleman. After two days, our kitchen was like new and very beautiful. We were so pleased with Bruce and Joe and so impressed with the great quality and precision of the job, that we wanted to write this review for other potential customers. We expect to use Bruce Zaidman and American Wood Refacing again in December for the renovation of 3 bathrooms and are looking forward to their beautiful results once again. We give Bruce Zaidman and American Wood Refacing a 5 STAR RATING!!

The installers showed up when they said that they would, went to great measures to insure that the sawdust would be contained in the work area. They had floor to ceiling plastic installed to ensure that that would be the case. They left the place as clean if not cleaner than when they arrived especially the garage floor. They came back the next day to finish the job and again arrived at the stated time. Bottom line they did a great job and I love my new cabinets! I would highly recommend them.

It went very well. We were quite surprised at the price to have all of this done. We had had an estimate in the past about refacing the cabinets that were in the laundry room, and we were given such a high price we thought it would be cheaper to buy new. Then we got this estimate. Not only was it possible, this company uses all wood (no veneers) for the entire cabinets--including doors, sides, front, etc. They were very prompt with appointments, very professional in the performance of the job, and we are extremely happy with how all of the rooms look.

The salesman and installer we very helpful in explaining what they would do and how to improve cabinet space. They manufactured an upper corner cabinet to recover lost storage area. The pots and pans drawers are great. Lower cabinets were modified for better access to hard to get to space. It was a 3 day installation. Entry ways were covered to contain the dust and wood floors covered to prevent damage. The crew was very polite and answered all questions. After the installation of the corner cabinet we decided a glass door would look better than a wooden one. The installers ordered it and put it in the same day it arrived. We were very pleased by the quality of workmanship. The transformation was amazing. I would recommend this company. I put pictures on Facebook and got rave reviews on the transformation.

Though our insurance company opted to simply replace the cabinets instead having them rebuilt, I'd call these guys again without hesitation. Extremely professional, polite and on time! Thank you Jim and American Wood Reface!

They weren't inexpensive, but the quality of the product and the workmanship were both outstanding.

We are very pleased with the work. The cabinets and countertops look great. They gave us good advice and suggestions. They coordinated and scheduled all the work at our convenience and arrived on time as promised. The countertop replacement took about 5 hours. The cabinet work took a day and a half. All in all, very minimal disruption for us. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone considering updating their kitchen!!

They are outstanding. The work was absolutely stunning. They said our job was one of the biggest they have done. They compared it to the size of two kitchens.

It went very well, the color is very beautiful, the wood looks rich, and they were very punctual and came when they said, did their work but were very nice, friendly guys ... even had to return to replace 1 cupboard door that did not stain very well ... they protected, then cleaned up the whole area very well, wiped all cupboards down again, and left it looking super !!!! they did suggest we switch out 1 old cupboard style, standard doors, for a 2 drawer pot/pan drawer, we did and are very happy with the results, looks great and just modernized a bit older kitchen ..... and they were always good about keeping in touch and/or returning phone calls, really good customer service from sale guy to installers to the owner. We are very happy with choosing them and the beautiful results. They were so professional and went above and beyond to meet my needs.

The work was done very professionally, quickly, and clean up was great. The cabinets are absolutely amazing! Since our kitchen and great room are open to each other it has changed the entire look of the house. It looks so classy like fine furniture! We couldn't be happier with the work! The only reason I gave the price a B is because I didn't have any other estimates to compare it to but I'm sure it is competitive to other companies.

My kitchen remodel is going to be in two stages. American Wood Reface handled the arrangements and then followed up. The actual work was done by Prestige Stone (a separate review), and they did a stellar job. They arrived on time, and worked all day to finish the countertop installation. I felt that it was very professionally done.

Our neighbors just had their kitchen cabinets replaced and they were in a mess for almost two months. I wanted new cabinets but my husband didn't want our home to be disrupted for a long period of time. I saw the ad for American Wood Reface and I am glad I did. Knowing what I know now, I would not recommend that anyone replace their cabinets unless their boxes are falling apart. The entire process was wonderful from start to finish. Bruce came out and spent all of the time with us we needed to explain the process and work with us on choosing the cabinet doors we wanted, both style and finish. He also recommended pot drawers in place of some of our cabinets and we are glad he did. Not only do they look better, but they really do give you more storage. The hinges they use are awesome! Next Joe came out and measured everything and probably 6-8 weeks later we were ready for our install. Joe arrived at 7:30 in the morning and worked until around 6:30 pm. He was without his partner so we wondered if the job would take longer...no, just two days...hard to believe. Every precaution was taken to assure that any dust and dirt would not filter throughout our home. Joe continued to clean up throughout the day and left everything clean and neat at the end of the day. At the end of the second day, we were shocked that our entire kitchen and laundry room were completely finished and absolutely amazed at the finished product! We have had custom cabinets in our previous homes and honestly, none of them looked as good as these cabinets. They are exquisite! They look like fine pieces of furniture. I find myself gazing at my cabinets throughout the day and my husband is tired of me telling him how much I love them! Joe is a gifted wood crafter and a wonderful man. When he left at 4:30 on the second day, the cabinets were vacuumed out, along with the counters and floors. By 9:00 pm on the second day, everything was put back in my cabinets and absolutely no mess. Let's see...two months and a mess or two days and instant beauty...it's a no brainier in our opinion. We recommend American Wood Reface whole heartily! They far exceeded our expectations and we know that you will be 100%+ pleased with your new cabinets. Besides...the instant gratification is a wonderful thing. Thank you Bruce and Joe.
