Terry came out and looked at the job. He came on time and with many samples of different hardwoods, laminates, and vinyls. He talked about the process the price and what would be best for our home. He gave me an estimate right away. Scheduled for the men to come do the installation. They completed the job in 2 days. Very pleased with the quality of work. I wasn't an easy job but the completed it wonderfully. I will definitely be calling them for future jobs

We were planning to do it ourselves, then after reading the instructions, decided to leave it to the professionals. Excellent job. So glad we didn't attempt ourselves. They were fast, accurate, personable, and reasonable. We will have them back to do our kitchen tile work.

Terry is a very professional individual with over 20 years of experience. I had 4 estimates, 1 from a big chain (would not recommend at all) and 2 others from local companies that were over priced. Terry answered every question and presented us with options to why we should have the floors done a certain way. He never tried to force us to have our floors done a certain way. He brought sample tile with him, where everyone else made us go to their showroom. After he was done measuring and answering my questions, he provided an estimate on the spot, where everyone else emailed it to me days later or made me come in to the showroom to pick it up. Overall, I am extremely pleased with Terry and will be hiring him to install the tile.

Been in residential real estate business for 27 years. Have seen some pretty shoddy work over the years. Was nervous letting complete strangers refinish my pristine 55 year old hard wood floors. Met Terry and Nathan at my home, they measured the area to be refinished, were professional, answered all my questions and provided me a verbal quote for the work. Within a few days I met Terry and Nathan at their showroom to select the color stain for the floors. On the day scheduled, Dan Grix and his assistant Danny came to the house and refinished the floors. They did what they said they were going to do and showed up when they said they were going to. Dan mixed a custom stain color in front of me and tested it on the newly sanded floors. He continued adding different color stains to the mixture and testing it until the color was the perfect shade I requested. I am so happy with my newly refinished floors. The color is so rich and warm looking my floors look like a piece of fine furniture. I would recommend these guys to anyone. They were very fast in coming for a quote, and started the project almost immediately. That was very impressive. They were good at contacting me every day to touch base, because I was not home while they did the work. My flooring was a very hard strand bamboo. This seemed to surprise the guy doing the work. I tried to explain that when he came to give me a quote, but he had problems with his tools nailing through the boards. This caused some damage to some of the boards in the beginning. He did a really good job for most of the dining room & hallway area. He left in a few boards that were damaged during installation. I'm a little nervous about one in particular, because it is close to my dining room chair. I am nervous that I will slide the chair back & forth over that area a few times, and chip a section of the board right out. When I was installing the floor in my living room, I would have removed that board after it was installed. (As well as a few other areas that he kept in.) When he left, there were still pencil marks numbering the boards near my kitchen. Overall, the dining room looks very nice with a few little exceptions. When it came to doing the stairs, they were more difficult than he expected. The nail gun did not face nail as well as he thought, and he left some of the nails sticking out of some of the boards. This was one of the finishing touches I wasn't happy with. He removed some molding trim to install the stairs, and didn't replace the trim. On the afternoon of the final day, he called me telling me he plans on taking a short cut because I don't have enough boards, but said it would still look good. I said I would prefer if he try to get the most he could from the boards I have, and not do the short cut. He called me back a while later saying he calculated that I don't have enough boards, and he has no choice but to leave large gaps on the sides of the bottom half of the stairs. (In his defense, the cause of this issue is that my house is not square. If it was square, this would not have been an issue.) I now have large gaps on the sides of the bottom steps that will require some wood filler or trim or something to fix. That was very disappointing to me considering I hired a pro. They also grouted a small tile area I didn't get to finish myself. He did a really good job on that transition to the carpet. (As well as the transitions in my upstairs hallway.) The problem was that he dumped the dirty water in myshrubs, including the tile sponge. I didn't know that until I mowed my lawn the next day, went under the shrubs, and hit the sponge cutting it into pieces that shot across my yard. Again, the finishing touches were disappointing. I liked the installer a lot. He was up front with me the whole time, and I think he did a good job on most of the standard areas. However, with the difficult areas or the finishing touches, I was disappointed. Part of that was because the flooring I picked was extremely hard, part of that was because my house is not square, but i believe part of it was because he wanted to finish the job without coming back the next day. That being said, I would still use them for a regular room with regular wood flooring. I would hesitate to use him for hard bamboo and / or stairs.

Advanced was fantastic. After we chose the flooring, we had an email estimate in two days. The owner was professional and down to earth. The subcontractors arrived in two weeks on time. They removed the failed floor in one day which was amazing because it was a glue down. The new bamboo and cork was installed in two days. WOW! Very high quality work. The subcontractors were professional, considerate and polite. We have more projects including tile work. We will definitely be hiring Advanced again.

Advanced Flooring was recommended to me through another wonderful contractor here on Angie's List, as well as being on Angie's List themselves. I was looking for a contractor to install ceramic tile in the kitchen, half bath and entry way of my home. After doing some cost comparison and checking with other local contractors for availability, Advanced Flooring came in with the best quote, was efficient in responding to my calls and was available on the dates that fit into the timeline of the renovations being done. In fact, they were available without a whole lot of notice! When the date came of the installation begin, Tom, the installer was punctual and arrived with a helper. We briefly discussed the timeline for the installation and it was decided that it would have to be extended an additional day as originally discussed. Although it was off our timeline of the renovations, Tom wanted to do the job right and allow for walking space ( the entry way needed to be accessed throughout the installation) to allow the tiles to set overnight. The project was completed on time as discussed on the first day. Tom was extremely pleasant to work with and have in my home. He was punctual, thorough, knowledgable and friendly. The tile floor looks amazing and I am very happy with the work that was done by Advanced Flooring! I would definitely call on them again for any future projects and recommend them to anyone who wants a project done right and on time!

Now, about their work: it was difficult, tedious and required precision. Nathan is a master at tile installation. Both of them know their flooring business. Terry made installing cork look, well, not easy, but, ?oh yea, so that?s how you do it!? My floor still takes my breath away every time I come into my home. You should be lucky to get on their list, but be prepared to be patient. Ask them to tell you the story. Now Dave is out of business, and they have their own showroom! Good for them. They just did a job for my kitchen designer daughter and her husband who are both picky picky picky and are thrilled.
