The bathroom was mostly completed to our expectations. I think Andy & his crew do a great job of general work at a great price, however I feel that some of their detail work is not to the standard I would expect. I would recommend that you stay on top of the work commissioned to them and don't pay for labor until the work is completed to your satisfaction. In general, good general work for a good price, but stay on top of them for detail work.
Description of Work: We had a bathroom remodel that Andy performed for us. This included complete demo, moving around some plumbing, replacing a window, and putting in all new fixtures. Also replaced bathroom & linen closet doors, ceramic tile, drywall & painted.

We hired Andrew after an introduction from our real estate agent. She did not attest to his work, but knew some GC's that had worked with him in the past, and hadn't heard any negative comments. The work was done on our vacation home and so were not around to monitor the day-to-day. We called Andrew regularly to discuss progress and were told that the job would be complete prior to our next visit (about 9-days). Upon returning to the house and reviewing the work there were several issues. The work area had not cleaned and the interior repairs reflected very poor worksmanship. Where water damaged drywall and floor molding had been removed, the drywall was not repaired prior to repairing the floor molding (leaving big gaps between the floor molding and the base of the drywall). All of the debris (nails, drywall, wood, dirt) was left on the floor and the carpet was left turned-up, as if the contractor expected to return (we called to confirm that they were done and were assured by Andrew that everything should be complete). There were also several sections of the siding that were to be repaired (per the work order) that were not complete and where work had been done on the beams under the house, significant portions of the insulation had been removed and left lying in the mud around and under the house (no effort had been made to install new insulation). We can only assume that he was not around to surpervise the work and hat not come by to review the repairs before telling us the job was complete. To Andrews credit, we called him back out and provided him with a list of the things that needed to be addressed and he addressed them the following week. Ultimately, the work and delivery didn't reflect a standard level of detail or care.
Description of Work: Andrew Farmer was hired to provide some general maintanence to support beams under our house, exterior siding, and some interior water damaged walls and floors.

He replaced the bathroom floor from floor to ceiling. I paid around $6000. The work went very well. I had expected much worse. There were some issues, but it was relatively painless. They cleaned up after themselves much better than other companies. They cleaned things out of the yard. Their customer service was very good because the owner was very involved in most of the day-to-day work. They were extremely respectful. They did painting, window replacement, door replacement, trim work, installed plumbing fixtures, mirrors, and other works. The only thing that they didn?t do was the electrical work. Their quality is good. They were referred by a friend of mine. So, I had seen their work before I used them. I will use this company again in the future.
Description of Work: I used Andrew Farmer Construction for a big renovation, a month ago.
