Great. The materials are top quality. The dock looks amazing. They completed the build in less than 2 weeks from the day they started. They cleaned up after themselves. Everyone was very friendly and nice to work with. It is beautiful and should last a very long time.
Description of Work: Built a dock including pier, ramp, and floating dock.

Talke to them in Feb 2016 to see if they could remove boards on dock to clean out debris accumulated under there from muskrats, etc. Was told verbally that it would take a couple of hours and would be about $300. Said they would come out and give estimate. Estimate came back at $1,500 to clean out debris and remove all the boards on the dock to saw off ends, so that it would give room for expansion. Said would be out in about 6 weeks. After 2 1/2 months I called and finally got them out. Showed up on time on the day work scheduled. Was told at that time that boards would not need to be cut on ends, that all that needed to be done was remove several boards and sweep out the shells, etc., then replace. Took about an hour to do the work. Was billed $625. No materials, just labor. Was told that was the standard amount they would charge. Just don't know why they verbally told me $300 to begin with. They do excellent work, but if you have them do any repairs, make sure quote you in writing for all possibilities. Including drive time it was a total of 1 hour, 40 minutes.
Description of Work: Took several boards off dock to clean out debris from muskrats nests, etc. and check if flotation was OK

Description of Work: Replaced a piling that was broken after being hit by boat. The work performed was high quality, reasonably priced and they were easy to work with. The only negative issue was the long wait time to get the work done. When we signed the contract they advised it would be roughly 90 days before they could get to it. It actually wound up being about 120 days.

It was a pleasure working with you and helping with this project. We apologize for the additional wait time to complete your work. Unfortunately, we have no control over mother nature, which is the cause for many delays in construction work.

They gave us a quote, saying the work would be done in about a month. Two months passed - we called - they promised - no results. We called twice with the same results. They never called to apologize or say when they would do the work. We went to their office and cancelled the contract and got our money back. Still no apology. They must have too much work so they don't need ours. We are repairing our dock ourselves.

The only "B" in the grading above was for responsiveness, which is still a "good" grade, just not excellent. I did have trouble getting the initial call returned. I had to call back a couple times and finally was called back by Norman Agnew. After that, everything went quickly and professionally. I originally thought the cost was too high, but my expectations on what the job entailed were not accurate. The crew worked for a full day and a half to get everything done, so the price was more than fair. I bought a boat that did not work with the existing bunks on my boat lift, because the new boat has a stepped hull. Norman Agnew visited to do an estimate for new bunks mounted to fit my boat, new bolts for the bunks and guide posts, and "regular maintenance" of the lift (grease, cleaning, etc.) I received his estimate later that same day. There were other items related to my dock on the estimate that I did not end up wanting. The next day I called to make the 25% initial payment, and the day after that, the Agnew crew showed up to begin the work. The first day, the crew showed up in the afternoon, after spending the morning in the shop cutting and carpeting the new bunks. They disassembled the old bunks and attached the new bunks with all new bolts. They replaced the bolts in the guideposts as well, and serviced the lift. The next morning they returned, and with one of them in the water under the boat, aligned the new bunks and guideposts to fit my boat. When I returned that afternoon, my boat was on the lift, and I inspected the work. Everything fit perfectly, and they left no mess. The work crew were always careful moving my boat around, and even gave me (a new boater) tips for handling the boat around the dock and even some fishing tips. I received the bill in my inbox the next day with a $25 dollar discount. I replied to the email to thank Norman and compliment his crew, and then called to pay the bill. The office personnel were just as professional as Norman.
Description of Work: Replaced bunks on boat lift to fit new boat, serviced boat lift.

I met with Mr Agnew and asked his position. He refused to make any offer to cost of repair. The insurance company has tried over the past year to get some contribution from Agnew without success.
Description of Work: I have used company in past and though expensive did work successfully. They came to modify a boat lift that they had built previously. It was built to accept a larger pontoon boat and had to be modified to fit boat. They had specifications of boat and had been told concerns regarding size. They did work to modify placement of supports but did not place posts correct width for pontoons and when trying to lift boat caused damage to pontoons. Mr Agnew refused any responsibility for damage to boat. Damage to boat was several thousand dollars.

They worked in a very timely manner until they completely finished our job. They wanted to make sure it was what we wanted. They just did a wonderful job. We would highly recommend them to others.
Description of Work: They built a gazebo and a dock. They also installed a boat lift. When we contacted them they told us it might be about 2 months before they could get here. They came and worked continuously until they finished the job.
