Coe's Roofing

I selected Coe's Roofing because of community reputation and review of Angie's list comments. The salesman that performed the estimate called ahead and was on time. The workers arrived when scheduled and immediately began work. They were responsive to my special requests as pertained to the flower beds and patio. They kept a crew on the ground that continuously cleaned up as they worked. Work began at 08:30 and was completed by 3:30 pm. All clean up was complete by 4 and trucks were pulling out. Throughout the day they remained professional in their conduct and language.Myself, my wife, children and grandchildren were present throughout the day and never once offended by anything they said or did. The repairs they had to make were within the bounds of our contract. The final bill was exactly as outlined in the estimate. I would absolutely recommend them for anyone.on

They showed up on time and were finished the same day (almost). They still have to come back and flash around the pipes when my plumber is finished, but I've already called and set up a time for them to come back. They were very nice and did a great job. They also helped me put on a TPO waterproof membrane on an upper porch. They ran into some problems that my framer needs to correct and they will come back to finish up. They didn't ask for payment yet until they finish the TPO project. The roof looks great and their service was extremely prompt and efficient.

So Friday came 7/20/2012. The Coe crew showed up in our driveway at 8:30 am.They all said hello and were very polite. While they were waiting for the truck to come with the shingles and other things they needed to do the roof, they did not waste any time, they got right up on the roof starting to strip off the old roof. I watched as they made sure that they were careful to try and make the old tar paper, shingles and roofing nails land in their dump truck, that was pulled close to our house.(with us giving them permission, after they had asked where they could place all their vechiles.) They also had one guy down below that would go around with a magnic wand like thing to check for any roofing nails that may not have made it in the dump truck. They made sure that they had covers over our plants close to our house and also over our air conditioner. The crew contiued to work real hard clearing the roof, putting in a new Sky Light, new pipe boots, new vents. They worked about 4 hours with maybe a 15 min. break if that. I know towards the end of them finishing it was getting real hot. I can also say that they all were very polite and I did not hear them saying any bad curse words. I do know that they are a very hard working group of man. When they started to clean up when they got done with the roof my husband went around and offered all of them a cold pepsi. They sure as heck earned it and then, some.Just as they were finsihing up Edward Coe, the Owner came by to check everything out in person.I think he does this at almost all his jobs.This to me, shows that he cares about his crew and the work they have done. He also came in and spoke to me again about the insurance stuff and to of course pick up part of the insurance payment that was to go to the roof. He told me if I have any problems or questions to call him. He also reminded me that his company has their own 5 year policy if we have any problems with the roof in anyway.When his crew left, the only things found was a bottle of water and one empty can in the yard.( I have found more of this kind of things, when my own kids had a pool party.) I want to thank Mr.Coe and his crew for making me feel like you can trust people again in the roofing business. I would hire them again, in a minute and for sure now I can say and quot;Hey, I know a good roofing company.and quot;

They were fabulous. They were very good and the most reasonable of the three estimates that we got. Everything turned out very well. They put two groups on our roof and had it in from the dawn to dusk. They had it completely roofed in one day and that's taking the old off. They were two groups of Coe's in there and for some reason they had two available. I would ask others to go to them for roofing. There were three or four on the street that used them because we had liked them so well.

They were just here yesterday. They were fast and got the job done in one day. It only took them one week to get out here to do it. They did a good job and the roof looks great. He wass willing to work on the price with us and that was a plus for us.

The repair person showed up the day of my call. He identified the problem and corrected it right away. He also crawled around in our attic to ensure that the leak hadn't done any permanent damage to our home. Time will tell,of course, as to the quality of the work as I am no expert in roof repair but I was very pleased with this job overall.

I recommend them. They came on time and they were professional. They missed a few things but overall they were good.

They did very well. Organized. Materials on-site one day prior. Crew large enough to do job in one day. Would recommend for residential and commercial work.

Coe's repaired a roofing job done poorly by another contractor. They were very fair and even provided a temporary fix to avoid additional rain damage until they could install a permanent fix.

I got them of Angie's List. They were good. They were prompt as they came when they said they would. They did everything and did it quickly which impressed me. They had a whole bunch of guys up there. They did a nice and neat job. They took care of what they were doing and I was pleased with that. Their price was reasonable. I would use them again in the future.

Mr. Haynes arrived promptly and was knowledgeable and professional. The job was not a big one but appears to have been done well. I am seriously considering this company for additional work but I read some comments about less than adequate clean up practices that concern me. I observed personally one job done which resulted in nails left in the street. The Coe Company's owner will have to reassure me before I commit. Overall, I was especially pleased by the company's responsiveness. There are 40 other homes nearby which are potential customers so the company certainly has an incentive to pursue an excellent reputation.

They arrived promptly after we agreed on the contract (in fact, sooner than I expected). Completed the work in 2 days. They were responsive to my instructions for specific things I wanted. They did a reasonably good job of cleanup; I did find a small amount of trash and roofing nails in the yard and driveway, particularly after the first hard wind and rain, but not excessive. One big kudo for them: I forgot to ask them to leave me some spare shingles for future repair work, and called them about a month or so after to request some. They delivered an unopened pack of shingles to my house (about 25 miles from their place of business) in less than a week at no charge. I would call that good customer service.

See above. I was surprised that they did not fix or at least make me aware of the roofing issue.

Company's price was high but I selected them because of high Angie's List ratings. They did finish the job in two days and so far no leaks but there were issues: A roof-mounted stove exhaust fan that worked before the job no longer works (they pulled the wiring loose but were supposed to re-connect it). However, now I can't get to the wiring connections without removing the shingles and sealing around the unit. So I don't have a range vent any more. They severely bent most of my gutter screen, so the shingles on the edge of the roof do not lay down properly. There was a lot of rotten decking which I had to push them to replace, even though I was paying extra for every piece. I definitely got the feeling they would have shingled over it if I hadn't been there. They were clearly in a hurry to finish before dark on the second day, and did not come back or offer to come back to do a proper clean up. They left my gutters completely full of nails and other debris. They left lots of small debris and literally hundreds of nails in the yard and driveway. In short, I feel like I paid a premium price for cut-rate service.

Quotes were given very promptly. Coe's did a great job on both of my roofs. They were also very instrumental in guiding me through the insurance process and assisting with getting the checks. Their work quality was also very good. They worked very quickly and they left no mess behind. Edward Coe was who I worked with. I would recommend Coe's to anyone needing a new roof or roof repair.

They are wonderful and we like them. We had a big roof job done by him previously and this wasn't the roof that he did. He was completely honest and didn't try to sell us a new roof. We've had no more problems with it. He didn't charge us a dime for this work. We had just given him $7,500 for a job a couple of years ago. We would call him again when the shed needs a new roof. The roof he did two years ago was fine. He is really good. We had two other people come out before. They roofed the house in a day and we have no complaints at all.

Job was completed in one and a half days, clean up was extremely good. Roofers paid a lot of attention to make sure they did not disturb plants, beehive, etc. Time will tell how good the overall job is; but at this point it appears to be excellent.

They came out and Fixed My Roof and My two Vents!!! They were great!!! I would use them again!!!

The work turned out to be great. They were fast, punctual and professional. They were inexpensive which was good. I would use them again in the future if need be.

Things with this company started out good. Once the contract was signed they arrived in about a week. It took 2 days to remove the old roof and install the new one with new ridge vents. Their sales person was professional and took the time to explain how the process would work. Their roofing team worked in a timely manner. From there things got bad. They were to provide two sheets of ply-wood to replace any that they came across that was damaged. What they did was just re-roof over a damaged area that was concave at the top of a dormer. The largest of the ridge vents was not attached to the house correctly and was already lifting within the week. The owner of Coe's said he personally came to the house, I was not home when he arrived but had he called to let me know he was coming I would have been there. He said he could find no damage and everying was fine. I returned his call and expressed my thoughts on the job and detailed the areas that were not correct. About two days later a crew arrived, again no call in advance except for the day of, stating they were on their way and would be there in the hour. The second crew corrected the areas in question. This company knows they are dealing with insurance payment on this roof, but insisted on payment. Went as far as to request that I pay out of my personal account and that I could then wait for the insurance check to arrive. This went against the initial agreement. Regarding their keeping things clean they did not. Much, much roofing material left around house, behind raised vegetable garden, on top of bushes, in beds around house. I lost count of how many roofing nails I have collected, many in my driveway and covered parking area of house. Many nails found in mulch area around house. Having dogs in the back yard made it a hazard for them to be back there until I could further remove nails and material. They moved a glass storm window that I had in the carport area that was going to be taken to have a cracked glass replaced. They moved it out to the backyard and left it up against a tree. Well the window fell over causing broken glass to be on the ground. Again I have dogs and now there was glass in the ground. Did not like the fact that their roofing team tossed cigarette butts and food wrapers in the yard. However, I was told that they would tarp the area around the house to ensure there was no damage to plants and to help in the removal of roofing material. Well the area tarped caused damage to landscaping with two rose bushes being damaged to the point I cannot save them and they are being dug out and replaced. About $200 worth of creeping Jenny ground cover destroyed. An herb planter all gone. Spoke to the representative of the company several times about this, but the company refused to resolve this issue. Given the chance to do this again, I would chose another company.

We got an estimate from them on a new roof and it was rather high in comparison to two others, so, I'll probably use a less well known company. They were very quick to come and the man was nice. If money was no object, I'd use them for all roofing needs.

They were prompt; they came when the said they would. They were the lowest and they went the extra mile to cater to one of the issues I had with the skylights. They gave me a good quote that was rolled into the whole job. Two or three years later when we had a leak from the roof they came back and fixed it at no charge. I called them and they were here on a Monday morning and they were finished by that night. From the time we contacted them till the roof was done was just a matter of two weeks. They sent out someone the next day to do some touch up stuff. They did a pretty good clean job and I didn't find too many roof nails around. I was very pleased with them and told them that I should get a commission because I recommended them and they got about 5 jobs down our street. I will definitely use them and recommend them again.

He's currently helping us pick out shingles. They also did an chimney cap installation.

I called on Monday morning March 14, 2011. The next morning they showed up to look over the problem. They said they'd get to us as soon as possible but it might be Friday before they could send someone out to do the job. The next morning, Wednesday the 16th, two guys came and took measurements, went and got the supplies and returned and put the new ridge cap on the entire roof. The entire thing from start to finish was about 5 hours. My roof is very steep and I was worried about them being able to do it but they didn't hesitate. The guys were courteous and went out of their way to make sure my lawn and plants weren't damaged. We've had two very hard rains since the installation and haven't had any leaking. I had read the reviews that mentioned that Coe's Roofing could recommend someone who could fix the water damage and so I asked them about it. That person's name is Leon Mance of L and J Painting. I hired him to do the work and would ABSOLUTELY NOT hire him again. Since Mr. Mance and his company is not part of Coe's Roofing, I will submit a separate report on him.

They were very careful not to bend our gutters and did a good job of picking up the nails around the house.
