SOUTHERN REMODELING & WOODWORKS

Description of Work: I called to have work done and I was told that some one would get touch with me. After a week of no response I called back and was told they were awfully busy and that some would be getting in touch with me. After waiting a couple of weeks I decided if they treated me this way I did not need them. I have since gone to Stanley Construction and they are fabulous!!

Description of Work: Kitchen and den remodel.

Description of Work: Steve Mills is an excellent contractor and runs a good company. He began to build this reputation with me by showing up for our appointment on time. He was one of four contractors I called and he was the only one to show up when he said he would. His bid for the work was returned to us within two days as he said it would be also. Two of the other contractors never submitted a bid even after stating they would. He had innovative ideas on improving my home. My Master Bath was divided into two rooms. It had a garden tub and vanity in one room and a toilet and shower in the other. He suggested we remove the wall between the two rooms and make it one large bath. That turned out to be an excellent idea and now I have a 260 sq foot bathroom. He designed a tile shower for us which is 4x4 with beautiful tile work and glass sides. The tile work on the floor had accents in it from the shower which is a nice touch. My kitchen looks fabulous. We now have granite counter tops, a tile backsplash, a butcher block island and a tongue and groove oak floor from my kitchen through my dining room and into my family room and down my hallway. The crew that works for Southern Remodeling were courteous and talented. They cleaned their work up and took all trash away daily. Any mistakes they made they readily acknowledged and made good corrections that you could not notice. The only gripe I have is that his subcontractor plumber did not always show up as he said he would and this caused some delay in getting the whole job done. It was an eight week project and I have essentially a new kitchen, dining room, Master and a full bath and a powder room and wash room redone. I had new lighting installed, painting of walls and trim and tile floors in all areas except where wood was put down. When it came time to clear up the bill, Steve had everything laid out. I saw all the bills for all the supplies he bought and all his time figues on labor. He became a friend as well as a great person to do business with. I recommend him.

Description of Work: Southern Remodeling served as the general contractor in the remodeling of our entire kitchen. We had all cabinets, appliances, countertops and floors removed and replaced. Walls were repaired and painted.
