Description of Work: Replaced support beam and joists, installed new footer and beam.

Description of Work: The kitchen and bathroom in our 60 year old home were completely remodeled. The kitchen linoleum floor was replaced with tile floor. The floor joists were buttressed with posts in the crawlspace and the subflooring was replaced as needed. The existing cabinetry was replaced with custom cabinets with additions made to improve storage space. A new dishwasher, sink and countertops were installed. Electric outlets and wiring were all replaced to enhance convenience and safety and meet code standards. A tile backsplash was installed over the countertop and stove. The uneven wall surfaces were all floated (spackle/mud work) to produce a solid flat surface ready for painting. Toe-kicks and baseboards replaced. 3" Crown moulding was installed around entire kitchen that matched the cabinetry. At the back door to the kitchen, there was wood rot on the threshold.The threshold and the screen door were replaced. In the bathroom, the tub was replaced with a "Bootz" cast tub, the linoleum floors and fiberglass tub surround were replaced with tile floors and tile surround. Inserts were placed within the tile surround for storage of shampoo/soap etc. plumbing within the wall was replaced, as was, the shower fixtures and vanity, sink, faucet, and cabinetry. The electric outlet and vanity light were moved and rewired. The bathroom walls were also “floated” after years of repeated wallpapering severely damaged the existing walls, leaving a smooth surface to paint.
