About us

`Aiken Chimney Sweep is the only area chimney cleaning service owned and operated by a licensed SC Residential Builder. With our knowledge of residential building codes and construction we can better solve problems with trouble or damaged chimneys. We offer flexible schedules to best suit the homeowners needs and we accept cash, check and paypal (with a processing fee) for payment of services. We are a member of the City of Aiken Chamber of Commerce.

Services we offer

We are a full service chimney cleaning company that cleans wood burning and gas fireplaces. We also service and clean woodstoves inserts and freestanding stoves. We can supply and install chimney caps and dampers, both top and bottom. We can fabricate and install a new chase cover for the top of prefabricated chimneys. We also repair fireplaces from tuck pointing mortar joints to sealing cracked chimney crowns.

Although the owner was very personable when he came out to look at my issue, he failed to follow up. He told me what was wrong and how he would fix it. Then he never called back for an estimate, never emailed, nothing. Glad I didn't get started with him.
Description of Work: My Chimney was leaking and the bricks needed repair at the crown and down the chimney.

Ms [Member Name Removed], if we failed to follow up I apologize. Chimney season is a hectic one trying to service everyone’s needs and repairs. I try to keep everyone happy and do as much as I can but obviously you fell through the cracks and for that I take full responsibility. Again I apologize. I try to tell customers if you don’t hear back in a week to contact me to remind me but obviously in this case I did not. Hope you give us an opportunity to change your perspective.

Tim was great. He returned my call immediately and set an appointment within a few days. He was punctual, professional and courteous. I was worried about a mess in my living room, but there was not a speck of dust when he was finished. His machinery was clean and not loud. The whole process took less than an hour. I was very pleased and would absolutely recommend him to anyone. And what a nice guy!
Description of Work: Inspected and cleaned chimney for conversion from wood burning to gas log.
