We will all need new roofs within a year and will probably wait until the spring. They will be one of the vendors we call for quotes as I found them to be very thorough and professional.

The sales guy was prompt and very nice. He wrote down my concerns about a specific part of my roof which had a leak. He also said they would look at the condition of the facias and some discoloration on the facia. The day came and I was not home for the actual work and left a receipt of what was done. The receipt showed that my concerns about the facias were not even looked at. The area which I thought had a leak, was looked at according to the reciept and it said essentially that looks like the problem with no effort to try to address it. So the very reason I hired them was not even addressed! I called the sales guy and asked what had gone on, and he seemed concerned as well and promised to speak to the office. I told him that I would be going up on the roof myself to see what was actually done. The receipt said that certain areas (flashing) were "sealed". Then it got worse. I went on the roof myself and saw that there was no sign of any new caulking whatsoever. (I had installed one of the vents myself, so I do know what this looks like) The suspect area that I thought might have a leak, had some debris there that I had to remove to inspect the location, that looked like it had been there some time (like many months), so how was this evaluated I asked myself? I wondered if they had even gone up on the roof as there was no sign of anything done. Two more calls to the sales guy, who promised to speak with the office got no response from the office. The only bright side about this place is that the sales guy seems like a real nice guy. But never heard from the office or anyone who did the work, despite assurances that they would call me. I paid for a service and got nothing.

Inspected roof and replaced flashing and minor problem spots. The rep that came out to assess the house was pleasant to work with. We then had a prompt call for scheduling the work. The roof repair man was detailed and easy to work with as well. All and all a very good experience and worth the money for my piece of mind.

(I am not sure that the date that they came is exact.) A very nice company rep. came to my house to inspect the job and give me a price. It was far more than I intended to spend (or even could spend). I should have told him right there but I did not. I cannot afford to hire this company for the work I need done. Company seems very good and reliable from my experience with their salesperson/rep., but very expensive.

Great communication to establish appt., the estimator called to ask if we could meet earlier which we were able to do because another vendor (different discipline) cancelled at the last minute which is extremely annoying because if affects all other appts. line-up for the week/month. Sean, my estimator, came in, reviewd my needs and sold me exactly what I needed, showed me the window I'd be replacing my old ones with and I never I would be so excited about a window, but the product is beautiful, functional and energy efficient. Sean gave me a comprehensive and thorough presentation , listened to my needs and concerns and presented additional services he believed would help me establish better energy efficiency (Dr. Energy). Honestly, if I had the resources I'd probably re-window my entire townhouse: there was no hard sell which does not work (not on me) . I've been in sales and property management most of my life , I know what helps people and what turns them off. Since our appt. I've received follow up calls from the measuring division and from Dr. Energy division. the support staff is incredible,both departments made it easy and pleasant to set up the appts. Updated on Jan. 31, 2014. Have had some disappointments. The insulation and caulking projects performed in December have not had the promised effect. It's as cold and drafty as ever on the 1st and second floors and in the basement it's actually colder and draftier than before. In the past I had to cap off the register it was so hot in basement. Now it's so cold down there that for the first time in 25 years I can't spend any time in the basement. The first week I used the gutter wire , the dedicated circuit breaker tripped for no reason; this was installed as a separate and additional cost so that I could turn on the gutter heating wire which is not included in wire install. I couldn't even use the gutter heating wire for the first two blizzards of the season until the electrician could get here to install and hook up the system. I am a single female who works very hard to stay afloat and these were expensive project which have not panned out. Regarding the windows, the original reason I met with Moonworks, I was promised a 6 week wait for delivery and install of *2 * windows. It seemed an awfully long time to wait at the beginning of the winter season but I went ahead and decided not to place the order with another contractor for 6, semi-permanent (removable) window caps in lieu of purchasing the Big Deal w/its windows (plus the other services mentioned above) . Nearly 12 weeks later, I am still waiting for windows. It's bitter cold in my house. I finally got a call on Jan. 22 that they could install on 2/3 so I jumped at the appt. cancelling everything else I had scheduled for 2/3. Today, they cancelled my appt. without discussing it with me because I informed them that I was trying to reach my security vendor about the window alarms (he'd been waiting to hear from me since November 10th) although I clearly stated that I'd keep them posted. I got a call from my security contractor tonight stating he could be here tomorrow. Now I must also cancel him. They've really dropped the ball on all levels. I have no windows, I hope the circuit breaker doesn't' trip again (the electrician never responded to my panicked call) it's freezing in here and I'm out nearly $3,000.

I purchased $800 worth of windows for $199. I was interested in replacing two small windows in my attic, but the estimate was more than I anticipated. I am not unhappy with the service provider. The estimate for the work was higher than $800, and that cancelled my interest with this provider.

Today(10/25/2013) Service provider showed up without a ladder to do a roof inspection which is a joke. After I discussed with the person(Bill Russall), he called his main office and confirmed to me that they have agreed to a full refund.

This was a terrible experience. I made an appointment with them over a week ago to have the roof inspected. I very clearly told them that I had a rubber roof. The day before the appointment, they left me a voicemail which I did not see until today. While waiting for them this afternoon, I checked my phone and saw the message, in which they asked that I call them back. When I did, they said they don't do rubber roofs. I don't understand why they didn't know this when I first made the appointment, why they didn't call me earlier, and why they didn't make more of an effort to reach me when I didn't call them back. I am also upset that the refund is not automatically handled given that this was entirely their mistake.

When I made the appointment for service, told them the phone number to reach me at. When they called me today, after my reporting to Angie's list, they stated the workman looked my house up on Google maps and saw my roof was mostly slate. according to the person on the phone, he says they don't work on slate roofs. When I made the appointment, they were told I have a slate and rubber roof. I asked why did they not contact me to let me know? They called me on the phone number I told them NOT to use to contact me.

Before buying the big deal, I contacted the company and their customer service rep told me that they fix soffits (we have a hole in our soffit). However, when their rep came out, he told us that they did *not* fix soffits. So he said they couldn't help us, and that we should ask for a refund since they didn't do any work for us. The person who came out, Shawn, was very nice and informative. He sat with us and asked what our reason was for buying the coupon (the soffit and roof inspection), and in the end he was honest and told us we didn't need their services (since they didn't do the soffit). I appreciated his being forthright and honest.

The deal stated that the windows would range from $359-$795. This did not appear to be true when he came out for the estimate. He quoted me outrageous prices. This did not seem right and I will not be getting the windows.

Somebody came out and talked to me about the windows and that process was very good. Then somebody else came and measured them and that process was very good. It took a little longer than they had estimated for the windows to come in but that's okay. The 2 men to put them in were just outstanding. They were very efficient and very clean. They never made a mess and they did a wonderful job. They even cleaned the windows before they left. They took down the blinds and they put the blinds back up. The only problem I had was that they had gone to get a permit for the windows and they had never finished filling the paperwork out. The town called me so I called them and told them and they said that they'll take care of it. I got a second call from the town and they were threatening me to stop signing me for it so I called the company again and talked to one of the partners there and he had taken care of it that day. It wasn't really a big deal and it wasn't anything to do with their workmanship. They guaranteed that if somebody breaks the windows, they'll come out and replace them so I kind of liked that feature. I think they are a little higher on the price but hopefully, I got what I paid for and hopefully if I have any problems, they'll stand by it.

I saw the deal and it seemed like a great value. I signed up online, Moonworks called me right away and arranged an appointment. Gave me an estimate. He called the condo assoc and was told I couldn't use moonworks for a vendor. He called and let me know. Everything done in very timely manner. I called Angie's List and was told I would get refund of original amout I paid to purchase coupon.

Estimation Estimation of the job took about 45 minutes, including an assessment of each gutter's condition and a recommendation to replace or not replace. After this, the sales pitch took about 90 minutes. The salesman was experienced, and had numerous recommendations and demonstration items to use in his pitch. The pitch did include some "high-pressure" sales tactics, including the limited time coupon and, of course, 5% off if I contracted with them that day. Overall a relatively pleasant experience, though be prepared for sticker shock. Work Performance All work was completed in one day. I was not present for the bulk of the work, but returned home to find all but one gutter had been installed. Soon after, the work crew of 2 returned, and let me know that they had returned to their company to pick up some additional parts. The reason for this was that one side of a roof was tilted such that the gutter wouldn't drain through the existing downspout (a fact that had probably accounted for how useless the previous gutter had been). The crew had stopped work until I returned to ask whether I would allow the addition of a second downspout on the same gutter length. I agreed, and they installed the second downspout. They also planned to spraypaint the new spout, but didn't have a color that matched the house. When I provided them some of the house paint, they painted the new downspout with it by hand, which I greatly appreciated. Additionally, they let me know that one of my existing downspouts terminated by dumping water on the roof, so they installed additional lengths to it so it poured directly into a gutter. Finally, some of the gutters didn't extend the full length of the roof due to the roof's design, so they installed diverters to make sure water on the roof would make it into the gutter. They cleaned up the work area thoroughly before they left. Overall I was extremely impressed with the service rendered by Moonworks. The work crew did everything in the estimate, and went above and beyond it to make sure that my house will be well served in the rain, installing extra hardware and rerouting existing hardware to protect the house. Even when they had to return to their company to get the extra two-downspout gutter, they returned and completed the job the same day. While the price for this work is high, I would consider it to be the Cadillac installation plan - more expensive, but every detail will be taken care of.

--- How did it go? Well, on the surface it seemed to go well the day of the service. This was after we gave them two chances to make up for things going wrong during their sales/inspection process. Let's start at the beginning . . . . --- We first met this company at the Spring Flower Show in Providence. We signed up for a free energy audit/inspection. The first salesman that came out and did only a partial inspection and told us he would get back to us with recommendations and pricing. He said this would take a couple of days. A week later, nothing. We called back to the office and he was no longer employed there. We were a bit surprised that we had to follow up and no one seemed to be keeping track of what this guy was doing. They did send another rep out for the inspection. --- The second rep was very thorough. He made recommendations on the spot and gave us pricing on the spot. We signed up and gave a deposit. The work we ordered was for some spray foam air sealing, some dense pack insulation in the cantilever along the front of the house, and for a custom attic stairwell foam cover. We also were quoted on getting the 3 walls around the living room/dining room to get filled with blown in dense pack cellulose. We decided to wait on the 3 walls. --- Just to check up on the pricing and get more comparisons, we went to the Spring Home Show in Providence a week or so after we signed up for the work, but before the work was done. Their pricing was a bit higher than others. Not crazy high though. While walking past the Moonworks booth, We stopped to look at their display about the dense pack cellulose and noticed it only showed blown in cellulose for the attic. Nothing for the walls. Curious we ask the gentleman working the booth and he replied that they don't do that work. We were surprised and asked "If you don't do that work, how come their reps are quoting prices?" The man we were talking to was Jim Moon himself! We were thoroughly confused and wanted to know what the heck was going on? Is this some sort of scam?!!! He took our number and said he would check into it. He did call us back and said that is was a new service for them. We thought it was very strange that the owner of the company did not know about work they are offering and performing. --- Now to the day of the work, They were prompt. The spray foam and attic cover went well. They said that instead of doing the cantilever section as described by the salesman, they would do it differently and we would wind up with more insulation and it would go deeper into the house. Sounds great! Right? We thought so. After a few hours they were done. All seemed well. Paid in full and we are ready for a warmer house this winter. --- Not so fast..... Our next project is installing some radiant floor heating under the LR/DR. We begin by tearing down the ceiling in the garage. In doing this we found that there was almost NO CELLULOSE insulation in 11 of 18 sections between tho joists over the garage. They had cut a hole in the front of the house, put the hose in a small amount and put a small amount of cellulose against some existing fiberglass. It was not dense packed and you can see where wood is exposed and air can flow freely. There were 5 sections that had cellulose going about 5 feet back from the front of the hose and 2 sections that had a very minimal amount of cellulose. The sections that did have it were NOT FILLED to the point where the insulation was packed and stopping air flow. The rest of the cantilever is part of a living space with a fixed ceiling. We have no plans for work in this area. We can only assume the workmanship on this section is just as bad. We are Completely dissatisfied with the work performed. We feel ripped off. We feel that perhaps there is some sort of scam. We are waiting for them to come out to look at this poor workmanship. We want and expect a refund for this portion of the work (About $1000). We figure that they will want to re do the work. We do not feel comfortable with that solution since we would not be able to see what was actually done. Just like the first time. Nothing short of getting our money back will be acceptable. We will keep you posted . . . .

It was great. They are great and I would recommend them. They were prompt. They give you details.

They were great. They cleaned the gutters and put on the gutter helmet. Also they cleaned up when they finished. Very good work

They were fabulous. Their quote was perfect, they were on time, when they said they were going to do the job, the finish within the amount of time and everything was completed to our satisfaction.

A dumpster was delivered to my home the day before the project and the installation took place in one day. the dumpster was removed the day after the roof went on. The roof has functioned perfectly over this past winter. I was inspected not only outside but inside the roof structure. An internal roof beam was reinforced because of this close inspection. My roof is vented well, so that was not a problem. The clean up of my yard took place during fall with leaves on the ground, the cleanup was excellent despite the challenge of the leaves. I recommend these people highly. The warranty involves a final inspection after the job, this may take a few weeks to accomplish, but be patient.

For the service and quality Moonworks Home Improvement is providing I'm satisfied with the price. Their punctuality and professionalism are excellent.

Moonworks were very prompt and honest. They are an excellent company. They get an A all the way around. They are top notch.

The overall experience was excellent.

It was very well and they did a very good job. They were efficient, reliable, and keep in touch. There was one vent that started leaking but they immediately came out and fixed it right away. Also, the roof doesn’t leak at all! It was a little on the expensive side considering the estimates we got.

I called Moonworks for an estimate on roofing. The gentleman who came was a consummate salesman, focused on getting me to buy the most expensive product quickly without listening to my needs. He told me at least a dozen times that they were not the most expensive in the business, but I got 3 other quotes all more than 35% less expensive. He didn't do the work, couldn't give me a solid estimate, needed me to sign a form and pay a (nonrefundable) deposit to get a contractor out to give a final price. The experience felt slimy and I hated being upsold. I told them to take a hike and would never call them again.
