Description of Work: A representative from Moonworks came to the house. We spoke at length about the project and he was supposed to get back to me with a quote. When I received no information after about a week I emailed him asking what was going on. He replied only once saying that the quote was still being worked on. Repeated email went unanswered.

Description of Work: They came to perform a MassSave energy audit. The technician was actually early, friendly, seemed professional - but he found what he said was a problem with the flues from my furnace and hot water heater. He couldn't finish the audit until it was fixed. I called Eversource (I have a service contract), they repeated his tests - no problem found! I believe Eversource, which means Moonworks got it wrong. Courteous service is of no use if you don't do the job right.

Description of Work: They were supposed to assess the roof and do minor repairs. I knew there was a leak around the bathroom fan on the addition, as well as a piece of shingle on the addition which had come off. The addition is 20 years old. I asked them to only assess the addition roof. |They came on time, with a sales rep. He asked what I was looking for and I showed him where the ceiling had leaked on two occasions. He poked his finger on the ceiling until he poked through the ceiling. He said someone would return to spackle it. |They took pictures on a tablet to show me the damage. I was told that the flashing around the exhaust needed to be resealed. They never addressed the shingle although I showed them the piece that had fallen. |The sales rep then quoted me three prices to replace or cover the existing roof on the addition. I questioned the warranty because there was some lichen on the roof which he said they would cover and it wouldn't interfere with the warranty. |I asked if he could send the pictures to my e-mail address so that my husband could see them and we could make an informed assessment of which choice we needed. He agreed. |The quotes given on the roof consisted of a cover up for $1885.00 to replacement for $4640.00. This is a 16x12' addition. I later determined this to be a high quote. I also found out that the warranty would not be valid unless the installation was done right, including making sure the surface is free of substance which could impact the life of the roof. |Needless to say, I never received the pictures, never received any word about the promised repair to the new hole in my bathroom ceiling. I did receive a follow-up call from Moonworks in July. I told them of my interactions with their representatives and they promised to be in touch and e-mail the pictures. It is now almost September and still I have heard nothing. |They have clearly written me off as a potential client. In truth, it was my intention to use their services if we deemed them necessary. The fact that they did not follow through is a red flag to me. |They repaired the flashing and told me that it was fixed. It wasn't until after they left that I read their repair sheet and saw that it said it "should be okay for a bit". |I would not recommend them.

Description of Work: Replacement of a compound window unit consisting of a picture window joined to two double-hung sidelites, and one other double-hung window. They replaced the big unit with a three-way sliding picture window. This involved removal of old mullions and stool, and installation of new stool and trim.

Description of Work: I had Moonworks sister company work on my gutters and about 6 months after they did the job I had a stain on my kitchen ceiling. They sent someone out. He claimed the shingles in the valley had been blown up. He glued them down.

+ -1 moreThey were very prompt, knowledgeable, had terrific follow up and customer service. We had some concerns with lead since with live in a home built in the 1700's. They did a plan on how to minimize the exposure to the lead and how it was to be cleaned up when they were finished. They had a premiere specialist company in the state come out and make sure none of the lead dust got into our home and they paid someone else to do the cleaning. I thought that was pretty impressive. We plan on using them again.

+ 0 moreTheir windows are good that they use but their service was not very good. Their installation was not very good. I had to hunt them down to finish the job. I had to hire someone to finish the installation off the sliding the glass door.

+ 0 moreThey arrived on time and on all the dates they quoted to us. Their clean up was immaculate. Their price is fair, I don't think it is cheap but it is fair. We had a job manager in their office that we could call at anytime and this was great since he was responsive to our needs.

+ -1 moreEmil Lannucci was the salesman that came to my house. I paid a deposit of $943, and he said he would start work the following day. This was August 7th. When they didn't show, I called for a few days, and Emil said they were waiting for a permit. I waited a few more days, and then I called again and wrote a letter saying they could refund my money and I would find another company to do the job. Emil finally responded and they started work on the 26th. When they came to do the work, they brought plywood and said they would put it on top of the deck and on the roof. I tried to remind them that the deck and the roof were completely rotted and that it had to be removed before being completely replaced. They said that it wasn't that bad, and they would just put the plywood on top of it. I had to contact Emil, and then they agreed to remove it. When they removed it, they put plywood down only. The roof was completed, but the deck was left unfinished. The workers ignored me, and left without telling me. The next day they were here for only a few hours, and then left again without telling me. I thought they were gone on a break, but they never returned. Someone came around midnight and removed the trash barrel. The nails that were removed were scattered in the yard and never collected. Nails are sticking out of the second floor, and no one can stand in there without stepping on nails. I have been trying to contact Emil, but he has not returned my calls.
Description of Work: They put a new roof on the garage and pulled up the old, rotted deck, replacing it with plywood. They were suppose to replace the deck with thicker wood, but they only left it with the plywood. The full price was to be $2858, but I have only paid $943 so far.

+ -1 moreExcellent work; small disputes were readily addressed. When the "helmet" was removed the workmen mistakenly discarded it. [Usually it is left on site while the roof is being installed.] The company replaced it at no charge to us. There was no disagreement; this issue was handled quickly and pleasantly by the company.
Description of Work: Gutter Helmet was installed. It was temporarily removed two years later so that we could replace the roof and then it was replaced.
