 + 0 moreI called them and the same day they were able to come by and fix the issue within 2 hours. We had water all over a section of the basement floor and we couldn't take a shower, run the dishwasher or do laundry without water backing up in the bathroom in the basement. They worked hard to get the blockage cleared that ended up being due to tree roots. They snaked some of the piping, removed the toilet where the problem was most and then cleaned up. We will definitely call them again for any future issues.
Description of Work: They came to the house to unblock a pipe that was backing up water in the basement bathroom.

 + -1 moreAll three toilets are back in business! Adam was professional, friendly, respectful, and obviously a very experienced plumber. He explained everything that was being done, answered all my questions thoroughly, and made welcome suggestions for how to choose a good faucet for a future replacement. He made sure every toilet was flushing properly, and he checked and rechecked all three toilets for leaks before leaving. Considering that one toilet needed a complete rebuild, due to having an outdated off-center flush valve, the price for the repairs was very reasonable, in my opinion.
Description of Work: Replaced malfunctioning valves in three ancient toilets.

 + -1 moreMy mother, who is 90 years old, had work was done on Thursday March 13 and all seemed satisfactory. They do not itemize their invoices, though which seems unprofessional. By Monday, March 17, the shower mixing valve was leaking so they were called back. Two men did show up and made more adjustments. The work they did was OK, but they were very rude to my mother and argued with her. She will not have them back!

Pleasant and efficient man removed the old pump and installed the new pump and also cleaned up very well after himself. Will definitely hire C.J. Nemes, Inc. again!

Description of Work: He didn't do anything because I called him and he told me he would be out to my house on the 11th; I waited all day. He never showed up. I finally called around 4pm and left a message asking if they still planned on coming. They never bothered to call me back. The job was to replace an outdoor faucet. We already have the part.

 + -1 moreThey came on time...difficulty finding the heater I chose in stores, and a truck problem caused a delay...(I offered to pay extra for the time they extended searching for the heater I wanted, but he did not increase the charge. The work was of high quality in evident knowledge and customer respect. Answered my questions. I plan to have him do more plumbing work. Price was $489.00 for heater and 300.00 for labor.
Description of Work: I called to have an 18 year old gas water heater replaced, because of its age and it had been showing yellow hot water for about a month. I checked a few other home improvement stores and called a few places. First was insisting on a chargeable home visit, then did get a telephone quote of $1,000.00 on a 6 year heater, with a full warranty. Very friendly call to Nemes, I was asking for upgrade to 9 yr heater with Auto Ignition...which they usually install 6 yr. Another tel call, another plumber said they would not install a heater I purchased, only his own product. Nemes came within 3 days (not a true emergency, but it was Christmas Holiday week). I had seen posted notices at both of the home improvement stores that "standard" installation was $289.00. They gave me a block of time (8-12) and date for delivery and install and removal of old tank.

 + -1 moreI FEEL THAT THE COST WAS REASONABLE BECAUSE IT WAS A SERVICE CALL. I LIKE THAT THEY CAME PREPARED WITH THE HARDWARE I NEEDED. HE WAS EFFICIENT AND THE CLEAN UP WAS VERY GOOD. I DIDN'T HAVE TO WAIT MORE THAN 24 HOURS FOR SERVICE.
