Pat Anthony's Professional Home Imprvt & Painting

Several months ago, I requested an estimate for a repair on a bay window. Pat Anthony came out, checked out the window, seemed knowledgeable, and told us that he would draw up an estimate. After a couple of weeks, I contacted him and was told that he had sent the estimate. After several more phone calls claiming their email was down, their internet wasn't working, etc., we finally got the estimate after a lot of urging on our end. I accepted the proposal that day, as per the instructions on their contract proposal page. The estimate seemed fair as did the description of work to be done. We were not in a huge hurry and knowing it wasn't a big job I told him to let us know when he would be ready to do the work. The entire summer went by and I did not hear from him. I called and he had many reasons why he hadn't been able to get to us. I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I texted him at the beginning of fall and was told that he would do the job "soon". An immediate text said "very soon". It is now November. He does not return phone calls or even acknowledge the proposal that we accepted back in the spring. My husband texted him and Mr. Anthony told him that he would call him the next day. We knew he would not call. My husband texted a few times and then left another message asking that he call to either set up a date to do the work or to just let us know that he did not plan on doing the job, knowing full well that he would not even respond. So if I could give him a zero rating I would. I cannot vouch for the quality of his work because we never saw any of it. He spent months trying to avoid fulfilling his obligation to us when we sent the accepted proposal immediately back to him. He also acknowledged the fact that his wife told him that we had accepted it when I spoke to him. It is now coming on to winter, and the chance of getting this window work done by someone else is probably not good. He cost us time, and added a lot of stress to something that should have been a straighforward job. We trusted him and he couldn't have cared less. He strung us along for a ridiculous amount of time. If he had no intention of doing this job, he should have had the courtesy of telling us up front. Instead he left us hanging. I wish I could be one of those people who left a great review, but unfortunately all we got was stalling and excuses and a repair that still needs to be completed.

Pat and his team did a variety of small jobs for us, including replacing roofing shingles that had blown away, cementing an area of our basement, rerouting some pipes and fixing windows. Pat found ways to save us a little $ while accomplishing what we needed and thoroughly explained how he planned to address our issues. He came recommended by several neighbors who had also used his services. We would definitely use again!

Outstanding work and attention to detail. New work was blended in to match existing perfectly. My damaged basement was repaired so well it passed a home inspection with no issues whatsoever. Pat found a solution for every problem my remodel presented. He was able to make my walls, floors, doors, etc. solid and strong and still beautiful. And he cleaned up thoroughly after every job and every work day, and took great care to protect floors and surfaces from damage. Pat & his crew have worked on different projects for my house over the last 10 years, large and small. His work has held up over time. He is the best. Hiring Pat for any project took worry out of the picture.

One year ago, Pat Anthony’s team carried out repairs in one of our bathrooms where a leaking pipe had caused a severe mold problem. He carried the work out swiftly, professionally, and imaginatively. So when we needed numerous varied repairs and other work on our home this year we once again asked Pat Anthony. Scheduling was somewhat difficult, but we’re glad we waited because the work was again done exceptionally well, within the budget estimate (despite encountering unexpected difficulties), and with great efficiency. We couldn’t have been more pleased. (But frankly, I’m hesitant to write this review: if it increases Pat’s popularity, when we next need his help he may be too busy to come!)

I don't remember a time in the past forty years when we have been more completely satisfied by a home-improvement contractor. Pat Anthony and his team were capable, professional and creative in coming up with good solutions when problems arose. The work they did was of high quality and the cost was reasonable. I'm only sorry I didn't discover Pat Anthony years ago; we will certainly look to him the next time we need home-improvement services.

Pat was hired by the company that put in central air conditioning. A problem with the drip pan caused water damage to two of our room ceilings, and wear and tear of the installation also damaged the attic door. The thoroughness and professionalism of Pat and his crew were exemplary. He communicated with us clearly, finished the job very quickly, and was amazingly neat. Pat told me his philosophy that a homeowner should never have to clean up after a construction job, and he was true to his word. He went above and beyond - washing the walls of the hallway, getting down on his knees and to wash the floor, and even fixing one of our stairs (which had no connection with the job). I would not hesitate to hire Pat's company again and will certainly pass the word that there is a painting/construction company you can really trust.

Pat and his crew don't screw around. They come in, do the job in a timely manner, and go. I recall it being difficult to schedule a job sometimes because he was in demand. He has qualities that are, unfortunately, rare among contractors: integrity, honesty and fairness.

First off; Pat Anthony the painter and his crew were AMAZING! Story begins when my wife and I bought our first home the 22nd of April. Not thinking, we were scheduled to move with almost no time to have the place painted beforehand. In comes our hero, Pat Anthony. In 9 days he and his family-run operation had our sagging ceilings and roughly spackled walls repaired and sanded with the ceiling textured and everything painted to order; he was even able to have the carpets cleaned for us. Pat Anthony did the impossible and that makes him mighty. The small army he employed to make our deadline did spectacular work and we are very grateful to all of them. With their help and hard work the house was move-in-ready by the 7th of May. Highly Recommended and Worth every dollar.

tMy experience with Pat Anthony was not good. I contacted him and told him what I needed done and he came to my home to see the damage from the ice storms we had this winter. He ended up staying for 2 hours( mainly talking about himself ) but he seemed knowledgeable so I decided to give him the job. An appt. was set for 3/23/15 at 11AM. After waiting about an hour, I gave him a call but I got -" mailbox full." I never heard from him with some sort of an explanation. So, if you want to deal with someone that is unreliable and will waste your time he's the man for you.

Pat showed up on time as scheduled. Did a good evaluation and appeared knowlegable, gave good advise. However, was very distracted by work recently done by another contractor which he claimed was inferior, unlike his which is "the best". This may be true, but I find negative campaigning to be unprofessional. I still may have hired him if he had delivered the literature and proposal as promised, but I never heard from him again. I take this as a bad sign and generally do not chase after potential contractors. I was disappointed this happened with Pat as I think he probably does good work.

No complaints. Had the team there, got all done in one day, cleaned up.

My interaction with them was fine. I have had a pretty good experience with them. If I would have to give them a number, I would give them an 8/10. They are professional. They got the job done in a timely manner and did not slow up the process.

There was work both inside and outside the house. Unfortunately, the window I bought did not quite fit, resulting in a lot of cutting and grinding of the hole in the wall. The outside of the house involved stone and cement work. Pat showed up with 3 helpers. They were very good about covering the floor, and taping plastic sheeting over the bathroom door to keep the dust inside. It took them much longer than expected, mostly because I thought I was saving time by getting the window myself but I was in fact handing them a headache. For the cracked bathroom ceiling they did a textured plaster finish to keep the cracks hidden, and added anti-mildew material to the paint. They were all working on different parts of the job at the same time, inside, outside, the ceiling plastering, painting, sweeping, etc. The whole operation was very professional. During dusty work, there was a helper with a shop-vac catching the dust as it was generated. I was impressed at how they all knew what they were supposed to be doing, they treated my house respectfully, they were neat and courteous. They had a giant trailer full of tools and equipment, at one point my front lawn looked like a carpentry shop. Bottom line: A professionally run job, courteous people, knowledgeable, would definitely use them again.

It took a while to hear back from him. The work went very well. He showed up on time and got the job done when he said he was going to. He did a very thorough and professional job. I was very satisfied with both painting and installation of the windows.

Firsy of All, I was Nervous about the Whole Experience Because I had alot of My Business Supplies in the Garage, and I thought it May Rain and Destroy alot of it. Pat Came Over and The First Thing He Did Was Put a Tarp Over the Damaged Area, Without Asking Him to. He Returned After Negotiating With My Insurance Company, on Time and did a Great Job, Finishing it all the Same Day. He Made Sure His Crew Cleaned up all The Debris, and I Don't Think I Could Have Found a Better Company For the Job. I am Very Pleased With the Work, and Pat is Easy Going and a Great Guy to Do Business With. John Humphreys-Warwick, RI
