I will never hire them again. Guy came out, said it would cost $441 (flat rate), shut of the water, replaced the malfunctioning spindle (approximate cost is $25), turned the water on. Less than 45 minutes. I could have done it myself, but the connections were too tight. When I called the office to ask about how expensive it was, I said that I assumed the quote would accurately reflect the amount of work involved. The manager said, 'your mistake, never assume anything'. So, you can't trust them that the quote is accurate, and once you sign the quote, you have no recourse. It's been a while since I've been taken advantage of, so I guess this is my contribution to the plumber scam.

Eric was very professional and friendly. He explained what he was going to do, in lay man’s terms, prior to starting the job. He was efficient in doing the job and double check that the problem was fixed before leaving.

Jake was timely, intelligent and professional. He understood the issues easily and corrected them quickly. The Office staff there is helpful and responsive. Getting a text with a photo of the technician is reassuring. Always happy to use this provider.

Eric did a great job. On time, courteous, Diagnosed the problem, fixed it, made sure the repair worked, explained everything upfront as well as the cost. Should have called him in the first place.

The gentleman came exactly when he said he would. He took care of the problem right away, and it has been fine ever since. You can't expect more than that.

All the jobs were well done by professional service people who were very polite and neat. The company always answers the phone in person at any time of day. Response time is fast. Prices are high. However, the price is worth it to me because of the qualities listed in the first three sentences.

We had a terrible smell coming from under the sink and dishwasher. He checked the drains and connections, found them in good shape and not the source of the odor, and recommended that we call the dishwasher repairman.

It was done well. The service man talked over our options, let us choose, and then installed our choice.

Fine. The thermostats were new (EcoBee) and WiFi capable. The tech wasn't completely familiar with them but made a point of finding out what was needed to complete the installation. We communicated with the EcoBee help line and got it done. Mr. Rooter charges by the job not the hour. Each job fits into a description in their manual. On the one hand, it may seem pricey if the job goes flawlessly but that is usually not the case. They stay the course and get it done right no matter how long it takes. Clean, neat, punctual and efficient.

Shortly after the unit was installed, we had to have them out twice. First time was due to some dripping/leaking, and second time with no heat/hot water. They did the repairs and at that point it was still under their installation warranty. A few months ago, same issue with no heat and hot water... However no longer covered by their warranty. Since it was less than 3 years, we asked if covered under manufacturer warranty and were told no. They came out again and $150 for a quick repair. A few days later, again no heat or hot water. My husband ended up turning unit off then on again and that worked. However, this has happened at least 5 times in the past 3 months. Today, we woke up again to no heat and turning off and on is not working. I am on Angie's list now to find another plumber. No way am I giving another dime to this company who sold us this junk unit (over $10k for unit and install).

I noticed I had a leak in the steam radiator valve and called Greenwood Plumbing since they've done previous work at my house (replaced water line from house to street, new hot water tank and system inspections). As always, they try to get someone out as soon as possible, so the tech (John) came out at 8:30 the next morning as promised. The tech took one look and told me it was going to be a tough job because the valve to be replaced was going to be difficult to get at due to the lack of room. The radiators in the house are recessed in the wall. He was extremely nice, and honest in letting me know that it wasn't going to be easy and would cost approx. $500.00 or so. Being that there would be no way that I could fix it myself, I felt I needed to go ahead because of the leak. I will have to say that the tech worked very hard, and found a way to get at the valve. It took about 2 1/2 hrs to be completed, which I was pleased. After discussing what was done with others, and looking online for how much the parts cost, I'm embarrassed that I paid that much (more than 150.00 per hr labor). I'm not sure that I would call them again

Great! We tried three other plumbing companies which did not return our phone calls before calling Greenwood. Jake was able to come out the morning we called, he arrived within the quoted time window, and finished the work within the estimated time frame. He was friendly and efficient. 10/10 would hire again.

Today's experience was like all of our experiences with Greenwood: professional, easy, and reassuringly competent. Since we found Greenwood nearly 10 years ago, they are the only company we call for heating and plumbing help. Our troubles often arise after-hours, and Greenwood's membership option has allowed us to get quick help at night and on weekends without paying a premium price. We've also had a new part fail (the water level sensor went bad after a year), and Greenwood's warranty replaced it at no extra cost. Greenwood's technicians are friendly, knowledgeable and efficient, and they'll explain as much as we want to know. They're also willing to help us decide what repairs are needed now and which can be put off for awhile. We've seen many Greenwood technicians over the years, and it's delightful how consistently good they are. The people who answer our calls are always courteous at any time of day and helpful in getting a technician out as soon as possible. As far as price goes, we can't say if their prices are a bargain or not. We don't shop around because, when it comes to our heat and water, we value reliability most of all, and we've found Greenwood to be very reliable. A+ and five stars is our rating.

It went well. We were very happy with the service.

Returned 2 days later. Told me that the remainder of the job would cost $465, Said it would have been $564, but they were deducting the $99 fee. The board costs $140 online and my electrician will swap the boards for $100. I told them to go away.

The service went very well. The AC was not working, but it ended up being my older furnace. Replaced it that day.

Furnace wasn't coming on. Called them at 7:30AM, and they were here by 9:00AM. They found the issue, and had to go to pick up the part nearby. They replaced the part, made sure everything was working, and were gone by 11:00AM. The tech was very professional, and courteous. We were glad to have them come right out the day after a major snowstorm.

My wife was going to simply replace the fawcett and spray device we had picked up at a local big box store. It became apparent that we could not complete the job as the previous owner had rigged the original installation/repair apparently using super glue. My wife haggled over the expensive quote but we finally agreed to have the work done. The space to work in was very cramped and the plumber worked very diligently for two hours to complete the job.

After I called they arrived within a hour. Explained what needed to be done and gave me choices. They cleaned up after themselves.

Their price was fair. I had another company quote this job and they wanted to replace the unit so this firm's price was fair considering what the other company wanted to do. I had used them before so I had a little membership agreement with them. They were able to come out the same night I called and actually had the same part in stock; this is not a common unit so the other place I called did not have the part in stock. I thought the service was quick but it is not the cheapest, although the pricing is comparable to others in the area. They are quick to respond because I had no hot water and it was very helpful that they had this uncommon part in stock.

It's just an average review and we were not really super happy with them and we're not unhappy with them, it's just an average. We paid for a contractor who promised us a semi-annual review of our plumbing needs but the contractor never called us and never contacted us after the first year.

Called and asked if they had a plumber available for same day swap of new dishwasher for old - sure, and they'd be glad to come out for no charge and give estimate, but no estimate over the phone. Guy comes in and quotes at least $100 more than any one else I've ever heard of - seems the scam, in my opinion, is they get in the door and figure you wont say no because they are in your house and they know it'll be another day before you get another plumber. Not the kind of approach I consider professional or fair, and I would not recommend to anyone.
