Mike did a fabulous job! With two kids and animals running over my hardwood floors constantly, he made them look new!

Mike was fantastic. I didn't want to sand the entire kitchen floor for the sake of one small damaged section near the slider to the deck, as another contractor had said was necessary, and Mike was realistic in his initial assessment of how he could accomplish this as well as very reasonable in his bid. He beautifully sanded and stained the damaged area to match the rest of the kitchen floor color and then buffed and poly'd both the entire kitchen and front hallway. He is both professional and very personable, and we are thrilled with his work, which exceeded our expectations. I would definitely recommend him.

Michael was great from start to finish. He was responsive and communicated with me effectively; he was on time to our estimate appointment; I had already had three estimates by the time Michael was here to have his first look, and I was impressed with the way he explained the job to me in order to set realistic expectations (my house is 120 years old), which is something no other provided did. I found his pricing to be very competitive, and he worked with me to accommodate my schedule. My family and I were away during the time that Michael did this job in our home; every day he send me photos of his progress, as well as a couple of questions specific to the job at hand. When we returned home, the floors looked absolutely *amazing*. A friend of mine told me to expect poly stains on my baseboards (something my parents actually had to deal with in their home), but Michael was apparently very careful because I don't see a single stain anywhere on my baseboards. Given the nature of this particular job, I expected to find a lot of wood dust everywhere, but I was surprised to find that the dust situation was not bad at all. Definitely less dust than I'd expected. All in all, extremely satisfied with his work. I've already shared his name with people I know, and will use him again when the time comes to refinish the wood floors in other areas of my home.

Michael refinished the floors in our kitchen and an adjoining room after we had our kitchen remodeled and had some areas of the wood floor that were patched/replaced. He was very responsive and was able to perform the work in a short time frame. The work he did was excellent- the floors look amazing and the patched areas of the floor blended in very well with the rest of the wood floor.

The guy was good. He was kind and courteous. He started when he said he was going to and finished when he said he will finish. From a hardwood floor perspective, the place had no dust and it was like perfectly clean when he was done. I would recommend them based on price, reliability, and workmanship--it was all good.

Mike did an outstanding job! He is very clean, professional, on time, and a great communicator. He estimated and completed the job 100% to my satisfaction.

He did not show up to perform the work.

Mike did a BEAUTIFUL job on our floors. He was great to work with, trustworthy and very knowledgable about his craft. I was able to let Mike in the house in the morning and leave him to work during the day which worked out perfectly as I was in the process of packing and moving. He took great care not to mar the wooden base boards with his equipment, vacuumed and cleaned up after the work was done. I highly recommend Michael to refinish you floors! Everyone who comes in our home comments on how beautiful the look!

My first call to Michael's was very positive. I was given information in a clear manner and all of my questions were answered. I was provided with an estimate, and we discussed some possible dates, leaving it that I would get back to them. I called back 2 weeks later and left a message. I did not receive a call back. Another week later, I called again, but again, did not receive a call back. VERY disappointed!!! So, I called someone else!

Mike estimated he would need four days to complete the job and that's what it took. We are not yet living in the home so there wasn't any furniture to contend with nor did start times and finishes each day need to be strictly adhered to. It worked out well for us all, I think. I gave a and quot;goodand quot; rating on price only because it's hard to say and quot;excellentand quot; when shelling out any large sum of money. The bottom line is we would hire Mike again.

I removed a 20 year old carpet in my bedroom to find hardwoods underneath that were in ruff shape. Some stains, nail holes, splashed paint, etc. Mike and crew came out and sanded my floors and applied 3 coats of poly bringing back their natural beauty. The whole process took about 3 days. Mike was great with scheduling, I called on short notice and only had a few daysavailable. Mike's Hardwood Floors came through and did an excellent job for a great price. I love this floor!

We were so pleased that Mike is coming back next week to do our dining/living rooms.

We were very pleased with the outcome. Michael had advised us that due to the condition of the floors, we would have to have them stained. We were not all that enthused having the floors stained as all our other floors were natural in color. Upon seeing the completed work, however, we were more than pleased. Both Michael and his associate worked diligently and kept us informed as to what and when they would perform certain functions. Work was neat and dust was kept to a minimum.

I needed to get the hardwood floors refinished in my new home. I called Michael and gave him the square footage, and he was able to give me a quote right over the phone. I booked him for the following week. Michael and a helper worked over the course of 3 days, with sanding and first coat of poly on day one, a second coat on day two, and the final coat on day three. They were extremely careful to keep the floors clean before each coat, which was a challenge since the house was a construction zone. The floors came out absolutely beautifully. There were a couple of damaged spots in the bedrooms that they were unable to sand out completely, which they warned me about upfront, however, with the poly sheen on top, it's not really that noticeable. Mike was very professional, and I felt comfortable leaving him the key, since I had to work and was not able to meet him to let them in on the second day. I was happy with the price, which was lower than I expected.

The first time I contacted Michael's regarding hardwood floor sales and installation, I received a message from him approximately a week later asking me to call, and he would give me an estimate on the phone. I didn't understand how he could estimate without knowing what flooring I would pick or the size of the rooms. I would think he would have to bring me flooring samples and measure the rooms himself. A couple of weeks later, I again contacted Michaels's along with a couple of other hardwood floor installers from Angie's List. This time I received no response. I guess they're not interested in new business from Angie's List customers. In my opinion, they should not be on Angie's List. I did have the floors installed by one of the other businesses on your list.

The experience was a very positive one. The finished product far exceeded our expectations. I don't have one unpleasant word to say about the experience. The dust wasn't even that bad. I would highly recommend Michael's Hardwood Floors. I will definately use him in the future.

The job took 2 days as promised. He was very professional. We are very pleased.

I had pickled hardwood floors that I liked, but needed them refinished. However, I love white, clean-looking floors, and was looking for something I had never seen before -- whiter than pickled. Mike worked with me to figure out what I wanted, we emailed pictures back and forth and he came to do a sample spot in a closet. I felt very comfortable with Mike and we were out of town for the week while the work was being done. During this time, Mike was extremely responsive: he communicated with me almost daily and emailed me pictures of how the work was progressing, and made sure that I liked the way the floors looked. The pictures looked wonderful, but the actual completed work was even better, We got home last night and are thrilled with the way it looks. It is exactly what I wanted and is absolutely beautiful. I wish I could upload photos to show it. The price was very reasonable: about the same as what I paid 12 years ago. Mike broke down the price so I knew how much each additional coat of paint or poly would cost. I cannot express how happy I am with this job and especially with Mike's communication and devotion to finding out what I want and making it happen. He was responsive, responsible, reasonably priced and did a great job. I am very grateful to Angie's list for helping me find him! I have asked Mike to come back and do the bedrooms. He is starting next week!

Mike came out and gave me a quote and explained what needed to be done to get my floors in shape. He seemed to know what he was talking about and I felt comfortable and confident that he could do what he said. He was very easy to deal with. I felt he was honest and trustworthy. In fact, I left him in my house for the 5 days he needed to do the job. I needed to go to work and had no one to housesit while he was there. He arrived when he said he would and started working right away. This was important to me since the earlier he got started and finished each day, the sooner I could walk on it when I got home from work!!! He suggested 3 coats of poly in the high traffic areas of my house. Since I'm clueless as to any of this, I agreed to this. Needless to say, I'm very happy that I did. The floors look fabulous (like something in a house on HGTV) and I have Mike to thank for that. Great job Mike.

Michael and his assistant did an excellent job. Michael is a total perfectionist about floors and knows what he's doing. I opted for two poly coats instead of three to save time and some money and it looks absolutely fantastic. I can't believe the difference it made to my home. I'm really glad I found Mike.

Mike ended up having to come back a total of 4 times in order to get things done and he was a little late each time that he returned. I thought so much of his work that I guess I over looked that issue. He did a really good job though and he cleaned up his mess. I am very pleased with the completed project as it looks great!
