Absolutely terrible!! Diamond Painting did a very unprofessional job. I did not hire this company to damage my furniture and hardwood floors. He is not a finish carpenter. He made all improper cuts on all moldings and made improper hinge cuts on all new doors. He did not properly join crown moldings by making a miter cut so as to make the joining as seamless as possible in the areas where the moldings were too short to go across the entire wall. Rather, he just butted the two blunt ends together and used gobs of caulking or putty to fill in the gaps. Nothing was spared from paint splatters. He got paint all over my hardwood floors, hardware, bedding, and furniture. He even used solvent to remove paint from my Italian leather sofas. Hinges on all doors were improperly cut and installed causing the doors to spring open and/or not shut properly. One door has already ripped on the face side below the top hinge. He did not prep walls or sand the woodwork prior to painting and installation which is a breach of our contract. He got paint all over the door handles, hinges and strikers. He failed to paint all six sides of all interior doors. The hung the first door upside down and had to replace it because the hinge cuts were on the wrong side. Several doors were hung backwards with the angle edge on the wrong side. He failed to cover or protect my furniture from paint and/or flying debris from the demolition of the kitchen island and cabinet over the refrigerator. As a result, he dented my brand new refrigerator door. After removal of a three piece medicine cabinet in my hall bathroom, he just left the holes in the walls and painted around the entire damaged medicine cabinet wall area. In bathroom #2, he painted over a long crack in the ceiling without repairing it first. The living room ceiling has many dry paint roller stripes. Also, the cut in paint around the edges of the living room ceiling looks like a different paint was used. Many ceiling AC register vents were installed backwards (meaning the air flow was directed toward the wall instead of out into the room); one vent was not re-installed at all. This entire job turned out to be a nightmare that just won't go away. I've been sickened by this entire project and loss of thousands of dollars. They know the only right thing to do is return all the money paid to them plus the cost to clean and repair my floors and furniture. To date, they refuse to respond to any of my communications. I'm requesting my money back because according to my new contractor it would cost me more for my new contractor to spend time trying to fix what Diamond Painting mucked up than to just tear it all out and start over. Nothing can be saved. Therefore, everything must be torn down and thrown away. This contractor has already been violated by the State Contractor's Board as a result of this project. I've taken over 100 photos (and so has their insurance company). However, only 10 of my photos can be uploaded to your site. 10 photos are not enough to do this any justice but serve as a snapshot to support my review. I'm writing this review in an effort to warn the public at large to take extreme care in choosing a qualified and professional contractor; one who can prove their work and have great references. I would not recommend this contractor to anyone,. Moreover, I would be more than happy to remove this review and other public reviews if Diamond Painting and Home Improvement settles with me promptly.
