They were great. Nothing broken and did not miss anything. They were very efficient plus arrived on time. I was pleased with all the communication from the office that made it easy to anticipate the day.

Extremely unprofessional make appointments they can't keep and don't show up without calling.

Bob was very professional when he came to my house to give me an estimate for the move. We walked around the house. He threw in free moving boxes. I scheduled the appointment with Jeanne and when I had to change the move date he was very accommodating. Three movers showed up on time on the move day. Started moving everything and I just got out of the way! It took 9 hours from start to finish. I spoke with Bob at the end of the day as he followed up on everything. The only issue I had was that after the guys left I noticed that my trash barrel that was outside was filled with all the plastic wrapping they used on the furniture and mattresses. I think they should have taken all of that with them. The town only allows one barrel of trash for pick up and all the plastic almost filled the barrel, so I was little perturbed at that. However, I'd recommend them and use them again.

I called MGM to request an estimate for a full-pack, in-state move. I did not yet have a firm move date, so we chose a date for a placeholder and indicated we were somewhat flexible on final timing. In order to get the estimate, the woman on the phone told me that the owner would need to do an in-home visit to put together the visit. That was scheduled for today. This morning, I received an email from the owner saying he was booked for the week of my placeholder date. He had tried to get a hold of me over the weekend (but NEVER bothered to leave a message for me, which he freely admitted). His email ended with "sorry and good luck". I called him back to explain that the move date was flexible, and that I'd like to keep the appointment for the estimate, but he told me he doesn't do estimates unless a move date is firm because "it's a waste of my time." That policy should have been communicated to the people answering the phones in the first place! Terrible experience. "Customer service" is a joke. Don't bother with this company.

We had a great experience with MGM. The only small issue was that the guys showed up a little late (probably 20 min), but I can't really fault them for it - it was 0F that morning and the truck was having a hard time starting... Customer service was also fantastic, they were on the phone with me the whole time to let me know of the delay and the new estimated arrival. The two guys that carried all our stuff were super professional and very careful with all out belongings. I highly recommend MGM movers to anyone that asks!

Mike & Luis were outstanding. They arrived on time and began work immediately. They worked like a well oiled machine and kept me updated throughout the move. My next move will be with MGM and hopefully with Mike & Luis.

I booked my move with Coutu Brothers, but the truck that came was from Peoples Moving. As another reviewer noted the companies are related. The movers arrived right on time. My possessions were already boxed up, so they didn't have to do any packing. Three workers moved everything out of my 2nd floor apartment in only 1 1/2 hours. They were able to unload at my new place in only 1 hour. With travel it was all done it 3 hours. The workers were fast, but careful and there was no damage to my possessions. I would recommend this company (really companies) to others.

Bob and his crew did an excellent job with my move to New Jersey. He met with my wife and later with me to explain what he could do and how he would do it. Careful attention was taken to wrapping and securing all our furniture. Since we were packing ourselves, he gave us a number of tips to make sure everything made it in one piece. His crew was very personable, as was Bob, answering any questions we had during the loading of the truck. Delivery was the next day in New Jersey. Bob kept us informed of his progress on the way down by phone and arrived only 20 minutes later than he had predicted the day before. The truck was unloaded quickly and carefully with boxes placed where we needed them to be. Everything arrived in perfect condition. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing to move at a reasonable price. I would also use them again.

We have had many moves through the years, long distance, overseas and local. I can say without a doubt that this move was at the top of the list. An A++ experience. Both Bob and Jeanne was super to deal with. The whole process from the initial phone call to the actual move was fabulous. Bob came out and gave us an estimate within a day or so. Very knowledgeable and helpful. In fact he showed up on moving day to make sure that all was okay. Everything went exactly as he explained it would be. Mike and his team arrived on time, got to work immediately and were pleasant to work with. All the furniture was wrapped, beds set up and placed, boxes, loaded, unloaded. It was a big move on a hot day. No complaints and nothing was damaged. Prompt, professional, courteous, clean. I could go on and on. I highly recommend this company!

I hired MGM to move my woodworking workshop from my cellar into its new location in the barn at my new house. They showed up on time. They were very careful with my equipment and put it exactly were I wanted in my new workshop. They were friendly and professional and I would highly recommend them. I also feel that the price was right.

Movers were great -- the three men arrived promptly, worked hard all day long, and did not bump a single piece of furniture or box. I was very comfortable with their work and would hire them again without any reservations.

It was perfect. They did a really good job. They followed up on everything. I'm very satisfied with them.

Hail to Bob and his crew! My daughter was in a sticky situation with a roommate and had to move quickly. Bob not only arranged to do all the moving THE VERY NEXT MORNING, he accompanied two members of his staff and they got the job done before my coffee had a chance to cool. Not only were they neat, careful and thoroughly professional, they were very supportive for my daughter at a difficult time. I cannot say enough good things about them, and I thank them from the bottom of my heart. They are pros, they are people, and they act like good neighbors.

Two men were assigned and arrived slightly ahead of schedule in a truck bigger than we needed. The men were pleasant and worked without stop for 6 1/2 hours, through lunch. They used shrink wrap on stuffed furniture and mattresses and did a masterful job of packing the storage unit.

When I started looking for a mover I had no idea who to use. The last move I made was accomplished with friends. I wasn't a member of Angie's list at the time so I asked around and found some reviews on line. I selected Coutu Brothers based on the information i found on-line. E-mail exchanges with Bob Romano were prompt and courteous. The day of the move we were supposed to receive a call when they left their location to let use know they were in transit, no call was received. That being said they did show up right in the time frame window they gave us. Bob had said between 7:30 and 9:30 am and they were there promptly at 7:30. Three man crew was courteous and careful with our belongings. No down time everybody kept moving right along. Same thing at the destination, things moved right along getting the truck un-packed. I did notice a few minor nicks in a hallway wall going to the second floor bedrooms, nothing that couldn't be fixed with a little spackle. In their defense the stairway is narrow and is a 180 degree turn from the entry point at the bottom of the stairs. I has just had the floors re-finished in the living room and I had put down heavy guage paper for them to walk on. They were very careful when they placed the furniture in the living room, no damge to my newly re-finished floor. All in all a pretty positive experience. I would use them again.

Packers arrived on time and did a great job arranging everything. All boxes were marked and packed full. Moving day, the crew, again, arrived on time and made quick work of loading the truck. Unloading the truck went with out incident. The crew was very professional and extremely accommodating with requests to move items to different positions and/or rooms. The whole process was one of our best experiences with a move.

They arrived on time & got right to work out a piping & carefully padding furniture. The men were polite and worked quickly.

They loaded the trucks on 11/15/2012 and kept the furniture in the trucks until 11/17/2012 at which time I was able to put the furniture in the house. This was a big plus for us because we had to be out of our house on the 15th of November. So, I thought that was very nice of them to do this for us. The problems I had with the movers were minor, nothing I would not use them again for. I will recommend them to anyone that needs something moved.

We were provided with 3 gentlemen, they were friendly and quick even though it was extremely hot outside. They arrived an hour early (7am) and were done by 10:30. They were extremely cautious of the hardwood floors in the new home and I would use them them again, very professional.

Coutu Brothers Movers Coutu Brothers Movers, took forever to move us and then charged us $600 more dollars then we had expected to pay. They wouldn't take anything but a credit card or cash. One of the guys was like 70 years old, I felt bad for him. They took a lot of cigarette breaks, they were paid by the hour and after 8 hours they got paid a lot more, so they slowed down quite a bit, they wanted to past the 8 hours.

I will not use Coutu Brothers for any of my future moves. The truck was timely, and one of the gentlemen was fantastic. That said, I've used several moving companies moving the exact same furniture with no broken items on previous occasions. This move I sustained several broken items, including one that was completely ruined, and a bookshelf shelf went missing. As noted, one of the movers was wonderful - he really hustled, and was a great worker and that was reflected in his tip. One other was average and the last left a lot to be desired in terms of hardwork and professionalism. I will say that Bob Romano was very helpful in terms of my broken furniture. He was very responsive and forwarded the claims form almost immediately on my report. I did not make a claim because I had a lot of other things going on at the time, and to be honest, the furniture was not particularly nice or expensive, so I cannot comment on that process. Overall, the behavior of one mover and the broken furniture and missing shelf ruined what was otherwise on track to be a great moving experience given the price and interaction with Bob.

We had called and were set up to move our belongings to our new house on Saturday. A lot of things had happened in our life to unfortunately move the date back so far. It was raining that day, and they had to move someone before they came to move us. They did not have dry blankets for us, and to top it off they claimed they could not get down the driveway, while two other moving companies had been down the driveway within the previous two years. From the moment they arrived all they did was complain and whine about how much stuff we had, and how it was going to take so long and this and that. The amount of items we wanted them to move it took my relatives and I the next day who I had to call to help me out of this pinch, all of 3 hours of moving. There were a few big items that needed to be moved and they just were whiners plain and simple. I will never use these jerks again, I will probably go with Gentle Giant Movers.

THEY WERE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO BREAK OR DAMAGE ANY OF OUR BELONGINGS. THEY WERE VERY PUNCTUAL ABOUT THEIR JOB AND TOOK IT VERY SERIOUSLY. THEIR WORK WAS FINE, AND THERE WERE NO PROBLEMS.
