Casey's Chimney & Wood Stove Service

Description of Work: I had a scam chimney service call me to clean my chimney. When they got here they broke off part of my flue and caused more damage. They wanted $1600 to install a liner that I did not need and repair all the damage. They made it sound like the house would blow up if I did not do it right away. I was scared and called the city and a friend. Casey's was referred to me after but I already read about them on Angie's List and had talk to the lady at Casey's. She was very informative and genuinely concerned about my situation. After talking to others I made the decision to call Casey's back and they called me right away. Mr Casey even left another job that he had workers on and came to my home with another worker. They were here early in the morning and he did not even say he could definately be here but that he would try. They saw my problem and the damage the other scam guys caused. I was so impressed I told them to put me on his schedule ASAP and he said he would do it right then and there. He quoted me $450 and even did addtional work that was not included in the price and did not charge extra. Mr Casey was very professional yet caring and friendly. He even made other safety reccommendations he noticed I needed to take care of that were not even his concern. This shows me he is a caring person and concerned about our safety. I will NOT use anyone but hom from now and will do all I can to stop these scam guys from taking advantage of people. THANK YOU SO MUCH MR. CASEY. I can sleep again. Dale

Description of Work: I got Jim Casey's name from Angies list. We have a 20 year old wood stove that has been dripping liquid creosote making quite a mess. I called Jim, and he was able to make a service call within 2 days. He was completely thorough in his evaluation and cleaning. He noticed very important conditions that had been overlooked by others. He also recommended replacing out stove cap. His assistants were productive and professional. Our Jotul stove has not worked properly in 4-5 years despite cleaning it twice a year. This man is completely competent and charges fairly for his work. Our stove now works like the day that it was installed over 20 years ago.

Description of Work: Incredible professionalism.UPfront with estimate,did no further work or added to estimate without my ok.crew was courteous and wasted no time getting work done,you could tell they knew what they were doing.Very respectful of neighbors property.Arrived on time or earlier everyday.Highly recommendm,would call these folks in a heartbeat if their services were needed again.Extensive chimney repair and replacement.Stainless steel chimney liner placed with lifetime warranty.New ceramic inserts.Hand/shop made stainless steel brace made by owner to secure chimney to roof with subsequent shingle work and caulking.

Description of Work: Very dirty fireplaces. Many cracks that I didn't think were important. These folks were impeccable in the way they cleaned the fireplaces, the chimney. They repaired cracks, repaired the flashing around my chimney cap that had been damaged by squirrels, found numerous holes and repaired them in my fireplaces. They could have charged me tons more when I asked them to tend to their concerns. They said it wasn't a good time, due to the humidity, etc. These are the most trustworthy folks. I will never consider hiring anyone else and will definitely ask them to come back in the fall when the finishing work needs to be done.

Description of Work: The owner and his asst. arrived on time, demonstrated experience and knowledge with their assessment of the work to be done, at an honest price. They handled an unexpected problem in my chimney with fairness. This company was recommended to me by a trusted contractor.
