+ -1 moreIt was great. We ended up having carpenter ant issues and they were able to pull out the damaged wood and replace it as well as the door all in a timely manner.

+ -1 moreGreat customer service, fast removal and install, super quiet LiftMaster opener. Great price. My only issue was that the pictures in the catalog did not show the style as clearly as I would have liked. I ended up getting a beadboard Cape Cod look in my cottage doors. In the beginning I didn't like it as I was not expecting it...hard to see in the photos. I love it now, but samples would have been more helpful.

+ -1 moreThere was a misunderstanding regarding the scheduled time of the estimate. I am quite certain I had the accurate time but the provider showed up an hour earlier so I wasn't present. However, he left a quote sheet and product literature in my mail box. I followed up with Affordavle Garage Door and the salesperson told me exactly what the provider I eventually went with told me, that the rails should be left in place because they were in perfect condition and replacing them might do more harm to the wall etc, and a standard size door would fit. I didn't go with Affordable Garage Door because they were a few hundred dollars more expensive than another vendor. But they were accurate in terms of what the job needed etc. and they were professional through the process.
Description of Work: Provided quote for replacing two 8x7 garage doors with two new steel doors and installing two openers.

Description of Work: Our overhead doors were custom made in 1981 when we built our house. The doors are heavy for a home and we have replaced the torsion springs every 4 or 5 years.at a cost of about $90 per spring 2 springs for eace door,, plus the cost of a service call about $90 for all labor to fix and service both doors. When I spoke to the service tech from Afordable Overhead about the short service life of the springs he suggested 28,000 cycle commercial service springs at a cost of $155 each. He also adjusted and lubricated both doors and replaced the limit assembly $35 on the door that did not need springs. He had to order the commercial service springs and limit assembly but did a temp repair on the the doors which worked fine until he returned to finish the repair. The service was prompt and professional. I have benn using Afordable Overhaed for the last 3 or 4 service calls and have always been satisfied with the service provided.

+ -1 moreThey came out to give an estimate. After I called, they were here the next day. We ended up using a different provider who offered an Angie's list coupon, which made them less expensive. What I liked about this company was they sent the service people out to give the estimate and not a salesman. This is helpful because they have the ability to see the technical aspects of the job that a salesman might miss. They did work for us years ago. We thought we needed a new garage door opener. I would have believed them if they had said it was unfixable, but they were honest and fixed the old one for a very nomimal fee.

Description of Work: Guy came over for estimate--was rude, didn't explain options, didn't ask questions and when i asked some he was couldn't really answer and was a bit hostile. He never followed up with a quote either so I never knew the price

+ -1 moreEVERYTHING WAS GREAT, AND YOU CAN'T BEAT THE PRICE. WITH JUST A LITTLE BIT OF WORK THEY MADE OUR GARAGE DOORS WORK NICELY AGAIN. I WISH WE HAD AUTOMATIC OPENERS, MAYBE THAT WILL BE LATER.
