Excellent. The men were professional, fast, and thorough. Actually my yard looked better after than before!!

Because this was a "small" job, they informed me at the quote time that they would not schedule a specific day, but "fit me in" when they were on the way to another job. That seemed reasonable, and given that it barely took the 4-6 guys that stopped by less than 45 minutes from start to finish to perform all service, it was pretty good.

came home to find more trees removed than wanted, damage to a smaller tree, caused by a tree falling on it. The top to one of our pine trees was cut off. more than needed damage to our yard than called for...holes from trees falling and deep ruts in the lawn from trees being dragged. I did want to note on the estimate he claims not to be held responsible for this damages. We also needed to pick up the crew garbage--left in the yard--(water bottles). When my husband called MR. COELHO, OWNER. he admitted he was no on the site for the job, nor did he come out or want to come out after to review the complaint. He did a lot of talking (not listening, on how he felt there was a mis-undertanding on my husband's part on what he was going to do. Hummm!!! so it was my husband's fault...my husband was very clear on what we wanted done, It appears THE CONFUSION was in relaying the work orders to his now caring crew. MR COELHO AGREED to make it right and come out an plant a tree to replace the two he was not to remove. When we did not hear back from him..i called...it appeared he had no intention to "MAKE IT RIGHT"..HE ALSO SPOKE DOWN TO ME and would not let me talk..when he was done explaining my husband's miss-understand and I finally got a chase to say something. The call was ended --on MR COELHO END. I did call back and asked him to explain where the top of my pine tree is...the damage to the smaller tree and where the stumps to my trees he suggusted he leave for decorated pottery.

I asked him to save the wood pieces that had to be chopped, but some of them were 18 inches in diameter and could not be chopped, so what are you going to do? They did a good job and cleared everything out. You take the tree out, you take the tree out. That was one thing I remember calling them back because there was a pile and we did not know what to do with it; I couldn't even chop it. It was just way oversized. Some of them turned out to be 24 or 30 inches. Then I had to pay somebody to haul it away. His price was fine, but even though I spelled it out sometimes people do not do what I want them to do, they do what they want to do. We had gone to the length of talking about how many inches we are cutting them, maybe it is not being communicated all the way down. Ultimately that is not my problem. His price was fair. It is a lot of work and they worked hard. They definitely worked for the money. They weren't very neat. He was fine with responsiveness.

Same as last time, showed up first thing in morning, crew of 3, had lots of equipment so they could take tree down quickly, worked fast. I was very satisfied, this is second time I hired Ken & I would hire them again.

It went very well. The team arrived early in the morning and spent the whole day cutting down all the dead trees on my mother's property. They did a great job. They ground the stumps and removed all the debris.

These guys were fantastic! Due to recent heavy rains, they laid down mats on the lawn at no extra charge. There were five guys total, one in the bucket, one on the crab apple, and three doing clean-up/chipping. Our yard looks great now, brighter and more airy. They cleaned up everything except for the ground ceder from the two stumps, which we requested to keep for mulch. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. They were fast and professional.

This was the second time I've used the Tree Doctor. I was very happy with them the first time. This time I called three different companies and ended up going with them again. Ken called me back within a day of my call and came out to the house to give me a bid right away. He was personable and gave me some good advice about our backyard. His bid was a little less than the other business who came out and gave me an estimate. He told me they would be back in about two weeks, and then only a week later he called to say that they could come out and take care of the yard. Four or five guys came out with two big trucks and a lot of equipment and removed all the trees and shrubs very quickly. They were friendly and efficient. In the end there was just one person left grinding the stumps. He knocked on the door to ask me if a stump in the yard was included in the bid because he couldn't tell. I told him that I didn't think so, but that I wish it was. In the end he ground it down even though it would have been extra. He was nice. I would definitely call them again and recommend them to anyone who asked.

Took a few weeks from the time of the initial quote until they actually came and did the job as mine was small and cost their minimum amount at the time. If you have a bigger job you will most likely get faster service which totally makes sense. They did an excellent job trimming the tree branches that were mixed in with the power lines and giving me advice for mainting the trees on my porperty. They were very fair on price and honest and cleaned up everything they did. I will definitely use again when the time comes in a two years.

Ken called the night before, just as requested. 3 guys showed up right on time. one person walked me through the job. One of them had this humongous truck with a crane basket, that they positioned on my driveway. The tree was about 40+ ft tall (my guess). One person cut it down in section while the other two picked up the pieces. I had some other close trees and air conditioning unit and none of that was affected. The entire operation including cleaning up the sawdust was less than 2 hours.

They did a great job! He was on time. They guys were good and gave us some of the wood for our fireplace.

Work was done promptly. Clean-up was good.

I was given a quote on Monday and scheduled the work for the following week, but received a call Wedneday evening that they could do the work Thursday if I wanted. This was a large job as it had been 15 years since any of the trees were pruned or shaped except for deadwood removal by me. The Hemlocks and Cherry had been professionally treated by another company 5 and 10 years ago but were diseased and needed to be removed. A crew of 5 worked about 5 hours using a bucket on the higher Birch, Maple and Oak. They cut the Hemlocks and Cherry in sections. The remainder were hand pruned by climbing and using a pole saw as they were not accessible by the truck. They did an exceptional job, not only taking out the limbs we had agreed to, but clearing the deadwood in the trees, and making additional cuts where it was necessary for the tree shape. They even talked me out of taking a few limbs down, thankfully as it would have spoiled the appearance of the tree. The crew cleaned the site as they went, filled up two chipper trucks, and raked the grounds when done. I chose the Tree Doctor because of their rating on this site and could not be more pleased with their work and professionalism. Every member of the crew appeared to be well trained and knowledgeable. Their price was well below what my neighbor paid for 1/3 the work earlier in the year.

Ken was on vacation when we called and left a message and he returned our call that day. He was returning from vacation and was able to give us an estimate the next day. He and his crew showed up for the removal on time; worked quickly and professionally; and cleaned up after themselves. We were very happy with the service.

Ken visited my home to survey the job. Since it was a large branch and it hung over my neighbors back yard, it was preferable to drop it there, However, tree limbs blocked the truck's access, so he provided me with a separate quote for my neighbor to have these trimmed. They were hitting his house and required removal, do it was very appropriate. The price of this removal is included in the $500. On the original project, we also agreed that they would trim out any of the other deadwood in this large tree with the hanging branch. The Tree Doctor spent a significant amount of time instructing me on how to save a number other trees which I have concerns about. It turns out they have a disease that will react well to spring fertilization so he went into great detail instructing me on how and when to fertilize so the trees wouldn't die. Probably not good for drumming up new business but GREATLY APPRECIATED by a homeowner wanting to save the shade! When the day arrived, the crew was prompt, very courteous, and professional. They moved the trucks into position and went right to work. They went out of their way to make sure that I was satisfied with the work, performing little extras like trimming some of the lower branches of the surrounding trees and getting down a hanging branch from another with a pole saw and (I think) 4 or 5 extensions. They were really great and I would recommend them to anyone without reservation

Called and they came out to give a quote in a timely fashion. They wanted $1250 to take down both trees, remove leaves/branches and leave me with wood cut to firewood lengths. Another service wanted $1800 to do the same thing(AFTER a supposed $100 discount). On the day of the appointment they showed up with at least 4 trucks and a whole crew of guys. I'd arranged for them to use my neighbor's driveway to access one tree, and they brought their truck across the lawn to access the second one. They finished in a few hours and I was left with a clean yard(raked), two stumps(I'd declined stump grinding) and a pile of wood. They even took the wood from the dead tree with them after discovering it wasn't suitable for firewood. My neighbors driveway was swept clean and my yard looked none the worse for wear. I was very impressed with their service and would use them again if need be. They even made an effort to cut the stump from the tree by the garage as far back as possible despite it being intertwined with the garage wall & a chain link fence.

overall the experience was just fine. will use again.

Hoping to use local businesses I called The Tree Doctor on two separate occasions for two unrelated projects over the last couple of years. I left messages and on one occasion the business owner called back and said he would come by to estimate. I never heard from the company. I live out of state and coordinating projects with specific timelines is critical. When trades don't show up or have the decency to call it is irritating. I've had a particularly hard time getting a tree cut down. Many of the tree "specialists" either come by and you never hear from them or were awarded the job only to blow me off without a call. Many calls to them go unreturned. This area of R.I. has a disappointing labor pool. " Oh, they're probably busy" is not an excuse for not returning a call, coming by to estimate or do the job. If you can't pick up a phone or email as a form of communication than you run a poor business.

Good communication, very responsive, very attentive to safety, no lawn damage, work performed as agreed to, great clean-up. Overall, a very positive experience! I would definitely recommend them! Thanks again guys!

They were local guys. I think they were a national chain and they were their own franchisee. He was pretty good. I had used him a couple of times. He estimated and the crew came in and they did what they did. It was a pretty session operation and the price was reasonable. I would use their services again in the future.

They were in the area after Irene hit and were doing a lot of work on my street. I didn't have any trees to take down at the time. I would recommend them. I usually use them. The owner is very very friendly and a good person. They are slightly higher than most on the price, but reasonable for the work that they do. You get what you pay for with them. They are not the cheapest but they are not the most expensive either. I wish they were cheaper.
