Description of Work: Installed smoke shield in my unusable fireplace. Other company told me I would need $6000-8000 rebuild of entire firebox, but East Bay crunched the numbers and determined that the opening was too large for the firebox. A simple smoke shield has made all the difference, and we can now use the fireplace. Very honest and professional.

+ -1 moreHe was able to come out within a couple of days, was on time and professional. He did a very nice job cleaning the chimney and also provided an inspection and recommendations. We are very pleased with the service and felt the price was very fair. We tried to contact a few other companies and were only able to get ahold of one other company. They wanted $250 for the same service.

+ -1 moreWe had a leak around an exhaust vent on our roof. Water was coming in through the cabinets over the cooktop stove in our kitchen. Though Brian specializes in chimney cleaning and repair, he did flashing around our chimney several years ago and stopped a leak we had with the chimney in our family room. He came today and checked the vent in the cabinets in the kitchen, the crawl space in the attic and the vent on the roof. He found that the vent was sound but the flashing on the vent on the roof had pulled away. He applied sealant to the vent He came at the time of the appointment was very professional and I would highly recommend him.
